Hallo ich brauche Hilfe und zwar kann ich keine Kommentare Schreibe. Was soll ich tun?
There is a user I had blocked a while ago who has suddenly started showing up again in a subreddit I read. When I try to re-block them by clicking on their profile, I get a popup <user> could not be blocked. This has been ongoing for several months at this point now.
When I try to block them by entering their name in through the settings page, it says I cannot block more than 1000 users. But I’m fairly certain I don’t have 1000 users blocked right now.
Hello moderator here, this is causing a lot of issues for subreddits that enforce karma requirements. Something as easy as meeting a 3+ karma requirement is now ridiculously difficult. There is no telling when the karma is going to crap out.
I made a post about this last week, and it seemed to chill out for maybe a day or two, but now it appears to have gotten bad again.
Thanks for your time :)
Edit: This particular instance seems to have passed now :)
When clicking an item in notifications dropdown, that item is not marked as read.
ie The highlight color remains, and has to be changed by manually by clicking its horizontal burger menu.
I was banned across multiple subreddits yesterday as I was detected by their bot due to my “lack of post history” and my oldest post being no later than 15 days old.
I discussed with these moderators across many subs and they have since lifted my ban after further discussion. Proving I have posts spanning back over a year, even a post from 4 months ago with 14,000 upvotes and 1.1 million views.
Today I was informed by one of these subs that even using moderator tools, they can not see my post history and they predict I will have this issue within a lot of subreddits (determining I am not the owner of my account due to post history etc).
I have been posting consistently for over a year and I am incredibly confused. A year ago I had an issue with the Reddit team regarding if my account was mine, (when I transitioned to NSFW content) and they resolved this issue at a quick pace. I can see my post history, as can some others apparently.
However bots and then manual mod checks with the mod tools are seeing that my post hustory is no longer than 3 weeks old, yet clearly it is.
I used to be able to edit posts a while ago but now I can only reply to peoples' comments and create a post. but I have to update the post and I cannot edit it. I have tried the other version sites of reddit on desktop and even my mobile phones google chrome( I actually dont even have an edit option for this method)
please what can I do?
update: im going to try to edit this post...it also does not work on Microsoft Edge browser(i never used this browser before)
Update 2: So I guess I can edit this post but I cannot edit the other image/text post that I want. Could be because the image? idk but thats crazy if thats it.
Description—chat showing red 4 bubble, but no new chats
Device model—iPhone 13 Pro
OS version—17.4.1
Steps to reproduce—Tried logging in/out, going to settings and clicking “mark all chats as read”, logging in and out of iOS and desktop
Expected and actual result—nothing worked
Description: Pasting text sometimes results in double-pasted items
Device model: MacBook Air
OS version: MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1
Steps to reproduce: Highlight a title from a YouTube video. Then paste it into the comment box in a comment replying to any post.
Expected and actual result: Normal, single paste without weird formatting inserted. What I actually got was the item double-pasted, with the second one indented.

Yesterday I made a post with a multiple photos. The first photo is bad quality, others are fine(ish). All photos look good on my computer's folder. Checked my previous post and it has the same problem - first of the photos is bad quality. And I can't edit the post to change the first photo. I use desktop web with Firefox and Safari. Photos were fully uploaded before I posted. What could be reason that the first photo is bad quality ? And why I can't edit the post ?
Thank you in advance.
There are no formatting options when posting/editing a comment.
The T button that is apparently supposed to let you switch to Markdown Editor does nothing.
I even switched to using a stylus to make sure I wasn't somehow missing the button every time with my finger. It highlights, showing I am infact over the button, but it does nothing.
I have to switch to the app on my phone and edit my comments just to do any basic formatting.
And this is while being forced to use the browser because garbagey mobile app still doesn't support landscape view in 2024 (For keyboards and most stands) like any basic app should.
When I click on posts I can see my posts but I can't see anything on the overview tab or the comments tab.
So maybe a month ago there was an update which upped bugger all.
My universal preference: Feed Settings -> Community content sort: NEW is now ignored.
Pages which used to have Flair now do not. Mods reply to say it's there, just my browser. etc.
Can I have my old version back please? This one's not worth the money.
When I click on the 3 buttons next to a comment and click "share" nothing happens
From what was said in a Help weekly recap months ago, I know "Reddit's Filters" are real and are being kept completely secret.
Lately in Help there has been a high number reports of posts removed by Reddit's Filters. Some, I can make a reasonable guess that it may be account age, karma, crowd control, etc. However, many I can see zero reasons why they would have been removed. Some times it is all the ones in a specific subreddit only. Some are all posts made. They appear to start out of nowhere.
I have also seen some that were removed by Reddit's Filters then change over to Removed by Moderators of.
Below I will have some example posts of what I am talking about.
Tired of clearing cache, doing updates and uninstalling this app to get messages to work.
Why do muted subs still show up in my feed? I don't want to see certain subs, but the feature never works, so what's the point of it. If a much smaller dev team if a now defunct app can do it with no problem, why can't you just let us do this reddit
Description: Trying to view recent posts in Profile>Posts>New filter does not show any new posts. Issue can be found on both PC and android app. Device model: PC OS version: Windows 10 Steps to reproduce: Go to profile>Posts>Sort by New, observe posts in random order. Expected and actual result: This should reveal all posts sorted by newest. Screenshot(s) or a screen recording - https://ibb.co/WkbYjLP
I deleted my chat, but there is one chat from another person I can't delete.
And do you require both flair and a rag in the title?
And why do the title tags REQUIRE both the quote marks and square brackets?
And why does Safari require a blank space between the right bracket and second quote mark?
So when I go to edit a comment, the comment appears in the editor window without line breaks/paragraph separation, and I have to re-add those breaks every time I edit a comment, otherwise the breaks are gone from the edited comment. This issue has been happening ever since I was forced onto sh.reddit and it has not yet been fixed. Please fix it.
anyone else just casually swiping their homepage just to accidentally swipe to the right to popular or one of the other tabs: "Home, Popular, Watch, Latest, News". On android but assuming its the same for ios.
Gets even worse when ur looking at a post with multiple pics and ur just sitting there swiping back and forth praying it will take you to the next pic and not the next tab.
For the love of god please let us toggle these tabs or at least implement some code that prevents swiping between tabs when you have a multi-picture post open.
I'm still getting notifications from chats despite muting/disabling the notifications from those chats, which is really annoying because I think it is other users directly chating with me. Please fix.
I have had chat turned off since the beginning, yet suddenly today there is a red number telling me there are chats.
Chat appears to remain off in my profile setting.
Please make the red number indicator go away and honor the profile's no chat setting.
thank you!
Clicking posts or comments will give haptic feedback without taking you to the post/comment section. Very infuriating, since it means I can’t use the official Reddit mobile app to view Reddit. Even more infuriating because since the API changes, I can’t use a third party app. Reddit is becoming very hard to use.
Started this morning, all of a sudden it said I had 5 unread messages even though I only saw a couple of new chat messages. As I scroll down I see old chats that have the unread notification mark, yet when I click on it and exit out, it then increased the number of unread notifications saying I have 6 unread messages. It’s now currently at 11 unread messages. I’ve encountered false notifications before, but never seen it increase so rapidly like this before.
