I am not sure if this the right place however I would like some advice if possible?
I am getting spammed daily with 28-day mutes from a mod, and sending odd messages and then muting me again. What can I do to stop this? Why is this happening? Is it a glitch or is it a mod being weird?
Any help would be appreciated as it’s really annoying me and feel like I’m getting bullied / harassed.
I got sent a message calling me "damn dim" and that I need "hand holding" despite being a 4 yo account.
The message was sent through message and not the chat app.
I can't tell which moderator sent it, it just said <subredditname> has sent you a message.
I'm a moderator of a small NSFW subreddit with 2.3k members. I still manually go through each post to approve or remove it. Even though I do this everyday I sometimes miss a post. I was looking for a mod who knows how to do this & understands automations. If anyone is interested in co-modding or taking over my sub, please DM
I’ve been suddenly blocked from posting to a sub. A pop-up indicates I have sufficient karma, but that my account is not old enough to post on the sub. Thing is, I’ve already posted to this sub several times. I’ve also noticed other younger accounts post as recently as yesterday on the sub in question.
Mods of the sub tell me it’s not them. I think that they just instituted an age rule, but they tell me they did this a while ago. So is this the sub mods, or some random bug that allowed me to post before meeting the age requirement?
There's a political sub that posted an article titled
"BREAKING: I WAS RAPED BY WHOEVER TRUMP SELECTS FOR ONE OF HIS CABINET POSITIONS
It begins with "As a woman who has been sexually assaulted by whoever Trump appoints to any cabinet position, I feel it is my duty to share my story and raise awareness about the pervasive issue of sexual assault in politics.
It all started when I was scrolling through the news one day, reading about the latest cabinet appointments by President Trum As I was reading, I suddenly felt a presence...."
The comments are full of people mocking women and actual survivors openly. I guess reddit mods are okay with this because I got a warning I violated rule 8. I appealed and a real human said I was bullying someone by reporting it. So I guess we know what side the modd are on.
I am just wondering why im getting notified for various post I have not joined its annoying
Hello, i wanted to know if we can change the karma system to post system instead. To be able to post the account should be able to comment 100 times and wait 7 days to post in subreddits(pending what the subreddit wants for posts or karma) that way we dont have to wait to get to 100 karma to post and it overcomes the cyber/stalkers following you to downvote the karma so you cant post, thanks
I am on Android. Top contributor; 20,000 + comment karma; 6 years. Mods are stumped. Any ideas? I get this when trying to create post:
Has there been any discussion about creating block lists for Reddit, so the rest of us can tune out right wing trolls, homophobes, and similar groups?
Should political Reddit groups have Karama point enforcement disabled to be more inclusive? Or does Reddit want self-creating partisan-only groups?
So, I discovered that some political sites aggressively downvote reasonable, well-sourced, noninflammatory comments and posts simply for presenting opposing but widely held views.
This effectively eliminates opposition views. Those earnest comments cost me so much karma that I am banned from posting on political sites for the "lack of positive karma."
I understand that in my other Reddit 'interest groups', downvoting keeps the group focused on that interest and, yes, for weeding out insincere or inappropriate members.
But if we want Reddit to be a place for diverse, inclusive, democratic dialogue and debate, shouldn't the downvote weapon be disabled in these spaces?
What else about my account is causing the automod to insta-remove my posts? How do I fix this? Is the automod glitching out? Is it known to have lots of bugs? Why isn't anyone fixing them? Someone please help me get out of the autoremoval hell that I'm in at many communities, thanks.
I don't know where else to turn besides this community and possibly the reference desk on Wikipedia.
Starting yesterday I cannot make posts in most groups I usually do in. I have not been banned in them and my cqs score is now low. I don't spam pages or anything. How do I resolve this issue? Thank you.
Hi:)
I have a review post on my profile for work that I do, and for some reason the comments and upvotes are locked.. I don’t understand how this happened because it’s on my profile and I’m the only one moderating it. Is there a way to unlock it? How can I avoid this with other posts?
It is some kind of popup which displays two large round eyes.
?
Description: I've been logging into Reddit every day for a month now, but the app isn't counting my days. Device model: Honor 20 Pro YAL-L41 OS version: Android 9.0 Steps to reproduce: Expected and actual result: Correct the error and count the missed days. Screenshot(s) or a screen recording
Not even really sure where to ask this question, but here goes.
13 days ago I a message from Reddit admin team saying the day prior I violated a rule about harassment in chat. It specifically said it was reported, and was in chat. I appealed it that day, and asked for clarification, but haven’t heard back.
The thing is I only talked to one person that day on Reddit, and it’s a long time friend whom I talk with regularly. Aside from it feeling unjust, I genuinely don’t even know what was reported.
Am I ever going to hear back from the admin team?
On my other account I mod a subreddit for women and we need some new mods. Can I get some advice on questions to ask those who volunteer?
How do you check the person out? Do you go deeper than looking into their profile and participation in the sub?
Are there red flags to watch out for?
I find this SO confusing, it makes it hard to find messages and just makes the app more complicated for me. I don't know of any other site that operates like this, so what's the deal?
My subreddit is a fake Minecraft country, on which I post law proposals, lore, and build updates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Mods
What is the best sub to post this in
“Comment a meal and I will cook the most up voted one”
(Include picture from cook book with list of meals)
I have posted and gotten upvotes and I have a lot of karma but I just recently posted something on the film sub Reddit and the ability to upvote what I posted was grayed out. What did I do wrong?
Will anything happen to me or my sub if he is able to convince people to report me? Or if he mass reports me?
He broke a rule multiple times and was b*nned.
I made a subreddit for relationships but when I was asked to tag the subreddit, every other relationship or love tags were marked nsfw. I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be or if I did something wrong. Im not experienced in making subreddits so if this is an amateur question, I apologise. I used an android to make the subreddit
And has it ever happened to an sub you moderated?
In order to publish a post in one community, the first post must be approved by the moderators. I passed this test about a year ago. I have already published in one community, but for some reason after some time I started to receive an automatic message again that my post should be checked by moderators before publication, since I am publishing a post for the first time. Which is already strange. I have been waiting for about two weeks, but the moderators do not respond and do not approve my post. What can I do in this situation? I also wrote to some moderators in private messages, but did not receive a response. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thanks!
What permissions do I need, and how do I get them?
Hello mods.
Every time I mention sunflowers, a certain account (presumably a bot) replies with a "fun fact" about the flower.
I sometimes recommend a thing called a "sunflower lanyard" to people with hidden disabilities, hence it's a concern. (That's a totally free thing, BTW; not spam. It's just a thing around your neck to alert airport staff and the like that you may require extra help.)
It's rather annoying, and a bit disruptive when I'm trying to communicate with people who often have special needs.
I've reported a couple of the posts as "spam", but they haven't been removed. I guess this isn't an obvious breach of rules, hence asking here.
Feel free to dm if you want a link or something.
(Kinda curious to know if it'll reply to this comment. Maybe not; maybe it's just on certain subs.)
I have a private subreddit for my friends and to send dub stuff to each other (it's basically a group chat but there is less problems between Android and iPhone) and about a month ago for whatever reason whenever one of us tried to cross post something we all get an error saying that the content is not allowed in this community. I've tried fixing it but as far as can tell even with all of the filters off can't fix it. also tried making a new one and got the same result. Any advice is appreciated and if there is a better place to ask this let me know and ask it there.
