I original posted this on r/adoptareddit but on more thinking, I would like to stay on as a co-mod for a bit at least until im sure the new mod is good.

Thriving Safe for Work community of 235k subscribers where self identifying “GayBros” can post selfies and other photos that have themselves in them.

I have been moderating the sub since its inception, and over the years have had several amazing people join the team, but left for various reasons and it’s been solely up to me and my many AutoMod rules to keep things smooth.

AutoMod handles the majority of moderation in terms of combating spam and other rule breaking content. The majority of the day to day moderation is reviewing submissions and approving/ removing at your best discretion. The two most common issues are: Inappropriate posts / comments (sexual in nature), and users not properly following our NSFW tagging rules. We also deal with the challenge of balancing what is acceptable from accounts with OF/JFF type self promotion.

I have reached out to the community on multiple occasions to invite additional mods but haven’t found any quality interest so far.

I would also love to expand the mod team so that we can do things like improve our page design, utilize newer Reddit features and roll out enhancements such as flair themes and photo challenges.

GBGM is a “sister sub” to the main /r/gaybros which has over 400k subs, and to the very NSFW gaybrosgoneWILD which has over 600k. so there is huge room to grow!

Can either be people with degrees (not that i will ask for proof) or studying, or just enthusiasts who like to learn physics as a hobby (im this last kind).

The sub is growing 95k right now, and even though there's more mods, im the only active one.

Would prefer people who want to elucidate and explain, instead of only resorting to bans and removals. But removing posts according to rules, low effort posts, checking proper post flairs, etc etc is the day to day.

In r/TimeTravel we do still allow layman theories, and even claims from anywhere else on the net, sci fi topics, and other stuff that the original makers of the sub established.

But killing fucking misinformation and ignorance is the goal.

The r/realitytv needs to liven up, especially from mod activity. It also needs passionate mods who are also serious about enforcing or creating more rules. But then it also needs mods who are passionate about the fate of this less-than-active or semi-active sub.

I'm looking for some additional moderators for r/Parents (18.6k members). Preferably in European and Asian time zones. As a moderator your main responsibilities would be monitoring the sub's feed and the Reddit chat channel. Handling modqueue and modmail is also expected.

This is not a fast paced sub but we do have to deal with spam and product promotion in the feed and the occasional pervert in chat. Being a parent is not a requirement to moderate.

We've grown to the point where we're starting to encounter an issue with spam posts and impersonation scams, etc. I'm deleting and managing where I can, but additional mods would be super helpful. Drop a message below if you're experienced in "implementing automod, and stolen image recognition bots, establishing pic verification rules that explains crumpled paper handwritten username, date, our subreddit, and making sure female posters get verified first posting with city or state flairs while meeting 100 karma requirement".

Minimum requirements to be a mod:

- Have an active account for at least a year on the Reddit platform.

- Have a combined karma of 1k - post & / or comments.

- Must have mod experience in doing the above mentioned in the paragraph

- You must be over the age of 18.

- Have an understanding of the rules of the NSFW subreddits as well as keeping us informed of the overall reddit rules to avoid the subreddit getting taken down.

- Be able to actually mod - although not expected to mod daily, if the automod and bots do the work for us, there will be enough of us to help keep the sub clean quality wise.

When I wound up on Reddit again thanks to a search result, I was reminded that I made r/MakeThisAThing. Somehow it was changed to require posters be approved. I've gone ahead and changed that setting, but I'm not interested in modding the sub or for that matter even using Reddit anymore.
