Do you guys still see him as someone who can be a competent 1C? He is struggling to say the least in Anaheim. That will certainly make him cost less, but is it even worth the risk? I think i would safely offer one of Colorados or Edmontons first, and maybe a Denver Barkey level prospect. I truly don't think he's worth much more at the moment and I certainly wouldn't pay much more than what I said and still feel like I won the trade. I haven't watched their games, but 3 points in 13 games and -6. I'd almost argue Frost is better at the moment and that's scary.

Biggest news of the week for the Flyers was the benching of Michkov in back-to-back games by John Tortorella. This feels like the first time in Torts coaching tenure that a large portion of the fanbase has turned against him. We will see how it ultimately plays out

Edit: you guys are right, we who want MM to learn by sitting SHIFTS, not games (and certainly not 2 in a row) are crazy for ignoring all the stellar player development this coaching staff has displayed over the years. I mean, how could we forget the complete 200 foot games of our young studs Farabee, Frost, Foerster, Brink, etc... (all 1st round picks besides Brink, btw, who was a high 2nd). After all, that's why we score so many goals and win so many games. My bad. It's hard to think clearly after attending so many Stanley Cup parades. Flyers way is the BEST way, obviously.

Our most connected local media guy has been mentioning Ristolainen as a potential target for our Top 4 RHD for quite some time.

Looking at his salary (which aforementioned guy says would be retained to some degree) and his stats, this makes absolutely no sense. But, stat lines never tell the whole story and the Flyers are obviously not that hot of a team to begin with.

What can you tell me about him? Is he better than his stat line indicates? Can he competently play Top 4 minutes on a team aiming to win the cup? What about even as a 5/6?

I guess I just want to hear from people that exotically watch him play - what is he? Is he good? I know he was once highly touted, but things haven’t been going well of late…

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone was planning on attending the game and getting an extra Star Wars shirt or who would be willing to get me one? I'd obviously pay for it/part of the ticket price-- asking here because I'm not sure if I'll be going and the friend I'd go with doesn't seem interested in the shirts and would rather do last minute resale or student tickets if those are an option and neither of those comes with a shirt. I'm a huge Star Wars fan so half the reason I wanted to go to this specific game was the shirts to be honest hahaha

The team stinks, they're not going anywhere this season. Let Michkov get more experience and hopefully improve 5 on 5. Let him make mistakes in the process. He's 19 years old. This is the type of crap I can't stand about Torts. You're sending a ridiculous message to the rest of the team when you do things like this. The Penguins were absolutely awful in Crosby's rookie season and as far as I know he didn't get healthy scratched once. Just complete insanity from the head coach who I really hope is nowhere near this team next season.

Quietly I think is having a really strong stretch of games here.. Last 3 games especially he's played 23:49 vs BOS, 23:59 @ CAR & 25:51 @ TB & had strong games via eye test & analytically graded well.

Still hoping he can start putting up some more points, but his defensive game has definitely been better I'd say the last 6-8 games.

Hopefully the tip of the iceberg on that side & then he starts putting up some points as the yr goes on.
