What if a ruler servant had to fight against rule breaker?

Sorry if this gets asked alot, new to this sub. I know archer said he could project it at the cost of his life, but I read on the wiki that nasu said UBW can't project divine weapons like excalibur, but we also see chloe from prisma illya project excalibur which goes against the no divine weapons claim and muramasa used UBW to create his sword which atleast has properties of a divine construct (it even kills him like how archer said excalibur would if he projected it), I'm not gonna mention the archer from extella cause I know that's specific something granted to him by the moon cell, but yeah can shiro and/or archer project excalibur ?

HF is Rin's true route.

This route is where Rin has the most memorable scenes, and even with less screen time they managed to give depth and development to the character with the revelation that she is Sakura's sister and the dilemma she lives on the route between acting like a mage and now as a human...after all, as Fuyuki's protector she should eliminate Sakura but Sakura and her sister...

I know that people at VN criticize the cuts but among the anime, Fate was released with the best story and also the most complete because all the characters seem to have participations...Kirei, Zouken, Ilya and even Shinji have more impactful participations and better development than on other routes. Plus, it's probably the best version of Shirou out of the 3 routes.

On the fate route, the focus was much more on fate and Shirou, and Rin is the teacher and Allying of Shirou

The Ubw route was practically the story of Shirou and Archer and Rin ended up looking like just a Tsundere and with practically the same function as the Saber route of explaining the war and allying with Shirou.

...I've been wanting to read through the series but I'm a bit confused. There's alternate versions and translations? Where can I download the correct ones?

I honestly don’t think so, he was born mostly divine and his judgement was likely heavily influenced by his nature more than his rationality, we’ve even seen that he was a benevolent king when he ruled so I don’t think he should be held accountable with a lot of the evil he did

This question has been on my mind since Archer identity revealed and honestly it makes no sense to me what so ever when you take the Throne being outside of time into consideration. So i can only think of two options to it:

1. CF send copies of Emiya to CF missions, similar to servant copy summon.

The problem: So with this option, since the Throne is outside of time, shouldn’t all of Emiya CF job summons and all of his Servants summon occurred at the same time the very moment he step foot into the Throne? Meaning that shouldn’t Archer have zero memories of his CF missions or other servants summon because they were all summoned at the exact same time?

2. CF send Archer himself on one missions after another in a chronological order.

The problem: okay this method would make sense with Archer slowly deteriorating mindset, however, the problem is that his Servant summoning would have remained the same, a copy is sent from the Throne to each HGW. So shouldn’t all of Archer servant summon occur at the same time the very moment he step foot in the Throne? And Archer shouldn’t have any memories of his mission because from his pov, he hasn’t gone on any CF missions yet, but his Servant copies has already been summoned because the Throne is outside of time.

So how does this work exactly?

Well here we are, i actually have been meaning to do this for some time but never ended doing anything, i don't even remember when i started the list, it is actually a bit old so i had to check, update and look up some stuff, there is one thing i'm not sure where i even got it from but that will be discussed later after the facts, i decided to present the info in no specific order as we can't really know what happened before what (except obvious stuff at the end) and alongside which title the info comes from so people can look it up (as good as a game as hollow ataraxia is, no way in hell i'll go through it all over again, do me and yourself a favor and play it, specially if you haven't), i'll also share 1 headcanon i have (i'll be quick since it's arguably the one i have most developed, nevermind the fact i have nearly enough to write this thing myself) so please share some of yours as well.

So to begin with, we'll go over events that happen in both routes, this are:

-Einzbern summon Avenger/Ruler to replace Berserker (Fate/hollow ataraxia & Fate/Apocrypha)

-Overseer was Risei Kotomine, the first one ever appointed and first time the Church intervenes (Fate/Zero material & Fate/Apocrypha)

-Masters were: Tokiomi's father, Einzbern Master, Matou Master, Edelfelt Sisters, Dioland Master, Darnic Prestone Yggdmillennia, Unknown Master (Fate/hollow ataraxia, Fate/Zero material, Fate/strange Fake & Fate/Apocrypha)

-Servants were: Angra Mainyu/Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, Saber², Midget Hassan, Fionn mac Cumhaill, 3 Unknown Servants (Fate/hollow ataraxia & Fate/Apocrypha)

-Lesser Grail wasn't a Homunculus, just a cup that was destroyed at some point (Fate/complete material III)

-Edelfelt Sisters separate due to bad relationship and set up two different bases (Fate/hollow ataraxia)

-Risei becomes friends with the Tohsaka Master (Fate/Zero material & Fate/Apocrypha material)

-The younger Edelfelt sister marries into the Tohsaka (Fate/hollow ataraxia, Toraburu Hanafuda Travel Journal & Fate/Apocrypha material)

As you can see there are many details concerning the roster and early phase of the war as well as some about the end that are shared among both routes, however none are really something big.

So now let's check out the details we have concerning the Avenger version of the War:

-The older sister goes on to the finals againts the Tohsaka Master and after the War goes back to Finland with at least one CS left, the younger one loses her Servant and is presumed by her sister to be dead, creating the disdain for japan and the bad relationship between the Tohsakas and the Edelfelts due to their humiliating defeat (Fate/hollow ataraxia, Fate/unlimited codes & Lord El-Melloi II Case Files)

-Avenger loses first in day 4 and corrupts the Grail (Fate/stay night & Fate/hollow ataraxia)

-After losing their Servant the Einzbern hole up in the castle for no one to disturbe them (Fate/hollow ataraxia)

-Grail's evocation point was the Fuyuki Church (Fate/complete material III)

-There are battles over the Lesser Grail with the Imperial Army and the Nazis happening in the Imperial Capital (Fate/complete material III)

-Assassin's Master records his experiences in the War into a doll, which is later used to recreate the War in Snowfield (Fate/strange Fake)

-The American goverment make some kind of approach to take advantage of the air raids in Fuyuki after WWII (Fate/school life, taken from the japanese wiki)

-The Yggdmillennia decline after the end of the War (Fate/strange Fake)

Now this are more interesting wouldn't you say? The war seems to have gone pretty wild thanks to the Nazis and the Army. I don't know where to read it or know japanese so i can't verify the claim about school life, but the jp wiki has the info and gives it a source so i think it is believable enough, tho it and strange Fake are similar worlds so how much of this happened exactly in the stay night world is like a 50/50, but i like to believe they happened regardless

Now then, let's go check the Ruler version of the War:

-Zouken fights againts Darnic, seemingly losing the battle (Fate/Apocrypha & Fate/Apocrypha material)

-Risei tells Ruler that he journeyed in order to find enlightenment within his hardships (Fate/Apocrypha)

-Darnic falls in a hole finding the Greater Grail in the caverns and steals it with aid from the Nazis (Fate/Apocrypha & Fate/Apocrypha material)

-Lancer and Ruler have a duel to the death away from their Masters, likely while Darnic plundered the Grail, Ruler's Master probably gets attacked around this time (Fate/Apocrypha)

-While his Master dies in his arms, Ruler gets forcibly incarnated by connecting to the Grail, turning his hair white (Fate/Apocrypha & Fate/Apocrypha material)

-Risei and Ruler save the Tohsaka Master, later Ruler gets adopted into the Kotomine (Fate/Apocrypha & Fate/Apocrypha material)

-The Edelfelts and the Tohsaka develop a good relationship between them (Fate/Apocrypha material)

That's it for this version, seeing the known events i like to believe this route has a sort of Death Note like story style between Darnic and the Einzbern camp, trying to out perform the other with Darnic winning at the end by stealing the Grail

Now regarding the bit i don't remember where i got it:

-The Church (or it's inside) gets destroyed during the first 4 days of the Avenger War

I don't know if this is something i took from hollow ataraxia or what, maybe because of the state of the Church when Bazett enters and has her breakdown, but in that scene either before or after there is no indication of it, so maybe i made it up? Which is weird because i always take info from a source, so if someone knows if this is from somewhere or if i accidentally played myself i would appreciate it

As for the headcanon, the unknown Master that we know nothing about is actually Aoi's great grandfather, the last Zenjou head who is similar to Darnic in a way, since both joined to prevent the decline of their families and this master similarly joined with the Imperial Army not because he cares about their goals or beliefs but rather for their helpful resources and man power, because of their similar goals and both being their respective armies representatives (which were allies) the two developed a "friendship" (in quotes, as their relationship is more complex than that)

While i can see that then where did the Einzbern stay during the other 2 wars prior as well as the entire building process of the grail?

I am not the most knowledgeable on how the counter force works aside from the basics like the counter guardians being deployed to kill or get rid of people who put humanity at risk.

And archer very clearly does not want to be a part of the counter force at all even going as far as to try and kill his younger self just for a chance that it would free him of being a counter guardian.

But then I had a thought what if archer just refused to do anything when he is deployed so he just stands there and does nothing I mean it’s not like alaya can threaten archer to get him to do what she wants so unless she can directly force archer to do anything what’s stopping him from just doing nothing at all ?

From what I understand this attribute allows the user to perform spells that they do not know with enough mana, so can in theory illya use same mysteries, spells that merlin or medea use ?

Knowing that Archer was just done failing to kill a weaken master from the back, Assassin must've been pleasantly surprise by how earnest Archer's swordsmanship is. Instead of obtaining a cowards head as a trophy, he got something much better, an enjoyable fight.

In stay night only I’d go Shirou/Kirei or Archer/Shirou, but looking at the whole Nasuverse I would say that Aoko/Soujuurou/Alice is my favorite

Yesterday Yusuke and Manolo finished a translation for the KnK Oblivion Recording light novel. You can download the PDF and EPUB of it from Beast's Lair.

For anyone unaware, the sixth movie is known for making a lot of deviations from the LN, so this translation has been anticipated for a while. Up till now we've only had Cokesakto's "Empty Boundaries" translations, which most people consider borderline fanfiction.

Currently the only ones left to translate are arc 7 and the latter half of arc 5.

Iirc, doesn't UBW straight up just replicates the target? It's practically almost 1st magic lol (Creation from Nothingness).

Rin even states that his weapons aren't even Projections in the first place.

But since there are methods that EMIYA doesn't exactly understand, he can only Trace weapons and are instead ranked down. And since EMIYA is still a future Shirou (a below average magus), he probably didn't bother fully researching or perfecting his UBW even in his CG state. And based on how he acts on both VN and Grand Order, he's mostly acting as a Collector.

Even in his weakest state, he's still capable of tracing Zelretch Sword with the help of Illya and Rin.

But for a blacksmith like Muramasa, his UBW should literally have almost no downgrades. Except since he treats UBW only as an infinite forge, he doesn't have access to instantaneous mimicked techniques.

Tldr:

1. Muramasa fully recreates the weapon in UBW (no rank down). His UBW creations are an exact 1:1 copy of the target. It would be funny if he can trace Divine Weapons and are instead the ones that get a ranked down.
2. EMIYA shoddily "Traces" the weapon and ATTEMPTS TO MIMIC ITS USER'S TECHNIQUES (gets ranked down).
3. UBW is entirely reliant on skill and knowledge of the user.
