RULES Please use the 'Report' feature for any post/comment you feel is in violation of the below rules.
1.) Post a list of your items
When posting pictures of your EDC, please provide a list of items in the comments within one hour of posting; otherwise, your post will be removed.
2.) No Spam
We consider spam to be posts/comments that try to take advantage of the subreddit, automated or otherwise.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Advertising your own products/company/social media
Shilling for a third party/Thinly veiled advertising such as "Hope I can get this into other people's hands" or " Items I produce"
Affiliate/referral links
You can include items that you make/sell in EDC posts, so long as it includes other items.
The one and only exception to this rule is special deals offered to the members of this sub. Before posting such deals please message the Mod team.
3.) No Incivility
Comments/posts that include name calling, insults, mocking, condescension, gatekeeping, or any other form of incivility towards users or items will be removed. Criticism of an item itself is allowed, but keep it civil.
4.) No Politics
Discussion regarding any political party/ideology/group, even those you agree with, will not be tolerated. Do not debate the politics of a country/state/city, user or of an item they choose to EDC. Posts are allowed to contain political imagery (stickers, flags, patches, etc.) so long as they aren’t the primary focus of the post, and don’t violate Reddit TOS.
5.) No Inappropriate Content
Inappropriate content is content that doesn’t fit the theme of the subreddit. This includes, but is not limited to: content unrelated to EDC, news articles, nudity, and injuries/gore.
6.) No Videos
Video posts are not allowed. They are difficult/time consuming to moderate and often contain advertising.
7.) No Memes
No memes, petitions, screenshots, or clickbait. Satirical EDCs are allowed, so long as it follows the traditional EDC post format.
8.) Meet Minimum Posting Requirements
In order to post or comment, an account must be at least 48 hours old and have a minimum of 50 Karma. This is to prevent spam. Please do not message the mods asking for your post to be approved. Be patient and repost/comment once your account has met these requirements.
9.) Do not ask why someone carries a knife or a gun
Please read the FAQ before asking why someone carries a knife or a gun. These questions are often asked dishonestly, and this rule exists to discourage political debate stemming from loaded questions.
10) Do not give unasked for advice regarding firearms or knives, or ask why they aren't carried.
Do not give unasked for advice regarding purchasing or carrying firearms or knives.
Do not ask users why they don't carry.
Both of these actions are the flip side of not asking why they are carried. Doing so serves no good purpose and pushes users who choose not to carry such items into justifying their choice, or explaining the fact that laws are not the same everywhere.

I adore 357 Magnum
Does anyone personally have the Boker .50 cal pen and know if the clip is removable? Can't find any info during my search thru reddit or google.
Will it leave big holes behind if so? I rarely clip things in my pocket and would remove it if possible. Thanks in advance.
In increasing order of value (because why not):
This last year I had asked my family for a Glock 20 (10 mm) as a birthday present. I had decided on the Glock 20 because I wanted a gun that could pull double duty as an EDC and Bear Defence gun. The person who ended up actually purchasing and handling the firearm took the liberty of having the pistol engraved with my name and the logo of a local government agency for which I work. I realize and appreciate that it was a great cost and effort to both get the pistol and have it engraved, I take issue with it for a number of reasons:
What should I do?
Edit: slide and frame are engraved, can’t find any frames for sale
How do yall get your photos to look so good??

I bought a knockoff ridge wallet off temu for $4. Not too bad material wise, but after using it for a couple days, it wasn't as convenient or as easy to use as my regular ol wallet. I use cash and carry other things besides cards on my wallet, so not being able to carry that with me was annoying. I pretty quickly switched back to my regular wallet. Anyone else have any experiences with these wallets, let me know what you think 👋
I landscape, so when I’m at work the gun stays in the car, but I probably wouldn’t function the same without those two other tools with me. Leatherman has been a life saver.
Data crew pouch with patches. Inside is some first aid stuff and a knife.
Affordable, practical. Stuff that if I ever use/abuse or lose I don’t mind replacing..except for the gun don’t want to lose that haha.
Looking for suggestions on further fine tuning and adding more necessary things.
I purchased a Vanquest FTIM 6x9 bag to use as my EDC tool kit a couple of months back. This morning I went to open it and one of the YKK zipper pulls broke in half. I took a couple of photos and e-mailed their customer service and within a few hours I received a very kind reply, not only letting me know they were sending me a replacement bag the same day, but also advising me that I could have my current one repaired locally by a luggage/leather repair shop and that it merely required a #8 YKK zipper pull.
They didn't ask any follow-up questions, nor did they request that I return my current bag to them in order to process a warranty claim. The fact that they even told me what size zipper I needed to affect a repair was incredibly kind and helpful of them.
I just wanted to make it known that I rarely receive this level of customer support and that this was an overwhelmingly positive experience and will ensure that I buy more products from them in the future. Props to them!

We’re clearing out old documents, as per the office’s existing but apparently not previously adhered to document retention policy, and discovered two large filing cabinets for which no one could locate a key.
Managed to jiggle the lock mechanism well enough with the punch tool to pop the lock core removal and then open the mechanism with a flat head screwdriver tool. Twice.
Getting locked file cabinets open always reminds me of Richard Feynman’s stories of Los Alamos.

I like the idea of carrying a fixed blade horizontally on my belt, anyone do this and have any recommendations? This may end up being a "Every camping day carry", but I'm intrigued by the idea. Thanks!
Hey guys, first post here, there have been times when I've carried more and times when I've carried less, but for the last 10 years this has been my EDC. To all my fellow electricians around the world, stay safe and good luck, I'll see you guys out there.
What would be a good pouch to consolidate everything I carry in my two pouches into one, with possible upgrades? I’ve had this North Face bag for almost a decade, and it’s definitely time for an upgrade for the pouches I use to store my utilities.
