A few years ago I bought some dotted notebooks and stickers in hopes I would start a bullet journal, keeping track of my life. I started a couple of years ago but never continued. My life’s not very exciting and I felt that I didn’t have much to write.
Do you have any ideas for what to do with these notebooks? What can I do with the one I already started?
My handy AISBUGUR Pocket Notebook (3.5" x 5.5") and Parker jotter ballpoint pen to complement.
Hello friends. I am new here, recently discovered this world as I seek to pull myself away from technology and it's damaging effects on my time and inner peace.
Removed TV, cancelled Netflix and Spotify, got a dumphone, started reading paper books... next step is a daily journal the old fashioned way, on glorious paper.
Background story aside, I need a lightweight portable notebook with a badass manly rugged looking cover (over-compensating). Lochby is the perfect look... but Field Journal is too huge (A5), and the Pocket Journal is too small I can barely fit 5 words on a line.
B6 is the perfect middle ground. Can you please recommend a case/folio for me?
P.s. I don't like leather look, more thinking canvas/outdoorsy style
I was wondering if anyone could suggest a better notebook for me, as currently I use a strathmore 500 series sketchbook, and a prycon/jet stream pen. It’s really nice! But I don’t like most notebooks because I actually want the rings instead of a hardcover, and I don’t particularly like thin notebooks!
Thank you!!
Several years ago I was given a beautiful leather case with a Moleskine notebook sized 13cm x 21cm (5”x8.25”). The case is gorgeous and I don’t want to stop using it but I’m so sick of Moleskine notebooks. Does anyone know of notebooks the same size that have better quality paper?
Hi!! I’ve got several full paper republic refills that just sit on my shelf. I’d love to be able to store them in binders (preferably inexpensive) similar to those that people use for travelers notebooks, but those are too narrow I think! What does everyone do with their refills? I’m open to any ideas, really :)
I'm trying to track down an "ideal" notebook, and I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction.
Size: A5 is my preferred, but not necessary. I'd be happy with a B5/Composition, Half-Letter, pretty much anything from B6 up to American Letter (8.5"X11") would be fine.
Binding: Spiral and fold over would be preferred, but really just need it to naturally lay flat.
Paper: I don't do very little drawing, but do occasionally want to paste other paper into the notebook, so I would want it to be fairly rugged, but nothing excessive.
Paper Type: Blank is nice, as is dotgrid/bullet journal. Hex or lined would be ok but not preferred.
Other: What I'd really love is for the notebook to have a dedicated pocket that could store a decent amount (20-40?) of 3x5 or 4x6 notecards.
The best I've seen so far is the Leuchtturm 1917, which is a very solid notebook. But, they can be a hard to find where I live (rural area in the United States), and can run a bit pricey.
Is there anything you would recommend?
hey friends! i’ve searched for similar posts here and in r/journaling and haven’t seen anything recent so i thought i’d ask.
i started bullet journaling last year with a pretty cheap journal just to try it out, and i ended up really loving this style of organising and journaling. the notebook turned out to be pretty decent but not super fountain-pen friendly. i’d like to splurge a little on a nice journal this year- preferably something with a pretty cover, but my priorities are that there’s enough pages, that i can use a pastel highlighter without it bleeding through (i’m not too fussed about ghosting), and ideally that i can use my fountain pen, but that isn’t a deal breaker.
i really love the look of the papier journals, does anyone have experience with them? otherwise any other recommendations?
love tomoe river and would love to find one the same size as the Moleskine XL which is roughly 8x10 or B5
i am looking for a softcover sewed at the spine that i can bend backwards for writing as i can do with the moleskine cahier
i am aware of the galen leather products but would love some other options
any help or pointers appreciated
I’ve been collecting pens for a while, and can’t believe I didn’t think about the paper too. Last week I randomly jotted something down in my coworkers notebook and it was one of the smoothest things I’d ever felt. He attributed it to being 100gsm paper. So I went on Amazon, found something that better fit the size I needed (a5? From what I gathered.) with 100gsm paper aaaaaaaand it was a bust. Felt like most other paper. I want something buttery smooth. The paper in his notebook felt almost like I was writing on smooth leather. Any recommendations on an a5 notebook with buttery smooth paper? Any and all help would be appreciated because I don’t know anything outside of which size I want 😂
Sorry to vent. I understand the issues with the weather, but I placed an order on the 17th it was picked up by UPS on the 18th out of Texas. I know there was some bad weather, they keep changing the delivery date every day. Now they say the 31st. 😊
I sent his Letter to Moleskine, Italy im Oktober 24. It was addressed to the executive management. I enclosed the A6 Notebook I was complaining about, which was showing heavy feathering and bleeding.
The was no Response whatsoever since then…
About to start my first job and I want to carry around a notebook in my breast pocket. I have already found my perfect pen which is the pentel energel .7mm. I’m a lefty to it had to be a pen that is fast drying.
My perfect notebook needs to have.
Slim and soft cover so it can sit comfortably and discreetly in my chest pocket.
Need to be a6
Can take energel rollerball with no bleeding
Needs to lay flat
Needs to have lines (grid or ruled)
Hello everyone,
I am looking a b6 or a5 notebook that has a lot of lines - I like to take bullet points when I take notes so the more lines the better really. Ideally I'd like it to have at least 80 sheets and a pp cover too. Please give me your suggestions.
Thank you.
