Packable Duffel, Can Convert to Backpack?

Are there any packable/collapsable duffel bags that can also switch between shoulder strap and backpack carry options?

Biggest duffel I could use as backpack “personal item” when flying Japan airlines BOS - NRT?

Looking for recs for maximum size bag I could use as a backpack “personal item” on my trip to Japan, unfortunately need to take a 1510 pelican case for my camera gear but looking for recs for a bag for clothing and a laptop / maybe ipad , trip is 11 days - with much time at a race track so a second pair of shoes would be a dream but not a deal breaker

Need room for clothing, a jacket, toiletries, laptop, phone charger and laptop charger

Huge plus if I can fit a steam deck attached to outside or inside

Looked at 42L north face but fearful it’ll be too big for JAL

Putting a work bag inside the one bag?

I have a work travel tomorrow for a whole week. I need to bring a laptop and some papers. Going from my hotel to the meeting place, I will probably need to bring a small bag with me. I normally one bag with just a 35L but I also have a smaller 20L bellroy that I am considering putting inside my 35L. Is this something you all have done for work trips?

I am thinking this 20L will also be my in-flight bag since it's about a 9 hour ride. I normally just keep a small travel pouch for in flight though.but since I have the 20L I will just take it out.

Adding the 20L does add some bulk and takes up space though but I am thinking of putting my laptop and toiletry kit and anything else I can inside my 20L instead of my 35L for space. Besides the bag, I only have 2 big packing cubes and that's about it for my main compartment

Which AIRism shirts (material-wise) are people using?

I got the 89% Polyester, 11% Spandex. Seem great for onebag since they are incredibly lightweight.

I also saw the 71% Cotton, 25% Polyester, 4% Spandex.

Which are people talking about when they say they are using AIRism shirts?

First time traveller

Hi this is my first time posting on reddit so please bear with me.

I am travelling internationally for the first time from Australia to Europe and I really need some advice. My friend recommended I come onto Reddit for some suggestions and or advice on packing or travel hacks that could help me.

I am heading to Europe for five weeks next year in June/July. I am hoping to use one bag while travelling. I’m looking for suggestions on a backpack that’ll fit most airlines carry on and maybe a breakdown of what to bring in that backpack clothing wise and toiletries wise.

I am traveling through France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and ending in Greece. I have no problem with doing washing while traveling some of the places I am staying at have a laundry so am hoping to get away with maybe about 7-8 days worth of clothing.

I am currently looking at are backpack:

Inateck 42L Travel Backpack, Carry on Luggage 22x14x9

Cabin Max Metz 55x40x20 Both from Amazon as my friend just suggested these

As for clothing:

5 x basic crew neck shirts (2 black, 2 grey and 1 white) 3 x pairs of shorts 2 x button up shirts 1 x denim pants 1 x runners/sneakers 1 x board shorts 7/8 days of socks and underwear 1 x belt

Toiletries: 1 x Philips oneblade razor / charger cord 1 x Toothbrush 1 x tube of toothpaste 1 x Beach Road Naturals Solid Shampoo bar 1 x Beach Road Naturals Solid Conditioner bar 2 x Dove bar soap 2 x Wash cloth 1 x Dental floss 2 x speed stick deodorant 1 x small travel cologne diffuser 1 x Collapsing hear brush 1 x small mirror compact (Any suggestions for sunscreen) Please suggest anything that I am missing as I’m writing this after work extremely tired

Tech: 1 x iPhone 1 x iPad 12.3inch pro (so I am able to still work partially when traveling) 1 x apple pencil 1 x AirPods 1 x compact power board ( 4 AU plug points, 4 usb A connections and 1 usb c connection on it) 1 x universal travel adaptor
1 x usb c charging cable 1 x lightning charging cable

Thank you for reading this lengthy post and the many grammatical errors there probably is. This is my first time traveling so I know I’ve probably missed something or haven’t thought something through so please I would really appreciate any help, advice or suggestions.

Thank you so much in advance

I'm looking for a space efficient towel that doesn't feel like microfiber.

I'm looking for a space efficient towel that doesn't feel like the microfiber from decathlon. Really can't stand the rub against my skin, feel like it doesnt absorb that much either, altough it dries well and it's definitely a good item! Just not for multiple days or a long holiday..
A plus if it's natural but not necessary

Thanks for recommending me your favs!

New job, need to look polished.

I’m a 40ish woman with a great wardrobe of hiking clothes. I have a new job and need to present as a polished business executive. I’d prefer to keep as much of my practical lifestyle as possible (stay comfy, no dry cleaning, one bag travel, no ironing.)

Recommendations for specific pieces that can help me pull this off?

Camera and lens storage or backpack recommendation - Shimoda Urban Explore?

Hi all. I recently came back from an awesome trip to Japan, I took my new Fujifilm X-T50 with me and ended up massively over-spending on new lenses, filters and accessories in Yodobashi camera. Still, much cheaper than buying them in the UK and an amazing selection!

I am in need of a way to store the lenses to protect them, both just during storage and also during transit/out taking photos. In addition to the X-T50 I now have these four Sigma lenses: 18-55mm F2.8, 10-18mm F2.8, 23mm F1.4 and 56mm F1.4. They have been so much fun to use so now I want to be able to take them when I go on my next trip.

Is there any option for a stand-alone case that is good for multiple lenses? I had looked at the Lowepro Hardside CS80 to do this but didn't see many options. Then during my research I was looking at camera cubes and was getting tempted to get a camera backpack so I can use the cube to store the lenses when not in use, then put it in the backpack when I am going on a trip with the full kit.

For the backpack options I was looking at the Shimoda Urban Explore 20, but saw some comments that it's not as spacious as you expect. Can anyone with a similar load out give me some insight if my full kit will fit in this bag or if it's likely to be too tight? Is the Wandrd Prvke Lite a good option? My kit consists of the X-T50 plus four lenses (one installed), maybe a filter case with a few filters, batteries etc. Nothing else too big in size.

Thanks!

My two cents: a Gen X, international development woman's perspective for one bag travels to hot climates

Hoping for a conversation around one bag travels and to share tips and tricks for older folks with medical or health needs or who work in international development in remote areas:

I am 50 years old with various medical conditions and am plus size (please dont come after me - yes, I am on Ozempic and I exercise). have been adventure traveling since 1995 and I work as an international dev consultant (travel regularly to remote areas in PNG, Soloman Islands, Bangladesh, Camodia etc) and here's my two cents about what works for me (based on my health, destination, type of trip, work trip - do I need a button down shirt? climate, etc):

- you can buy sanitary pads everywhere - and I mean everywhere - even in very, very remote villages! Take a few pads or supplies with you but know that you can get pads from small local pharmacists, or even the local hospital clinic. I personally dont use moon cups or tampons, I prefer sanitary pads and yes, ideally I would use eco-friendly ones, however, if you are moving around often and are staying in homestays or basic accom with no aircon - drying things overnight is challenging.

- condoms and lube: take your own! In many places you can buy them, however if you have a latex or silicone sensitivity, it might be difficult to buy your preferred product. Secondly, in some remote areas, they might be out of date or kept in very humid, hot conditions. Also if you are on a work trip in a conservative area and roaming around asking for condoms, it might not be great look for your professional reputation.

- Tea Tree Powder is a godsend: jock itch, foot fungus, chub rub, keeps ants away. I decant it into little containers.

- Deodorant: I take my own (unscented Mitchum roll on). Deodorants and talc powders are readily available in very remote areas however they might be perfumed and not anti-perspirant (attract mosquitos).

- You can buy soap, pantene shampoo, head and shoulders shampoo, clothes washing powder, mosquito coils, everywhere! Again, if you are sensistive to strong smells, take your own. I do always take Australian brands sunscreen (high ozone coverage) and Bushman's mosquito repellent and Thursday Plantation deodorant (great for itchy bites - repellent is not strong enough in dengue areas).

- Underwear and bras: yes, ideally I would wear marino wool ones but its hard to find in plus sizes, so I buy breathable undies with a cotton gusset and take 3 bras (playtex cooling breathable). I do take a washing line, and the small Sea to Summit washing sheets and do washing often. I take a flat silicone plug also.

- UV umbrella - I lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 years. I've now seen on Temu and Amazon hats with fans on them and other cooling headwear which might work also. Was recently in Tokyo and there was a wonderful array of cooling fans, wipes etc -- great for us menopausal folks!

- Clothes: I do wear cotton and linen especiallly on work trips. Ironing: it is mostly possible to find that at even at small homestays in a remote village that someone is able to iron your clothes (especially in Africa or Asia - harder in Pacific). I do not wear polyester or cooling shirts or pants (they dont look professional, and smell and are tighter fitting). I also hang up my work shirts in the shower and let the steam de-wrinkle them. Yes, there are de-wrinkling sprays but often they have artificial fragrance in them and attract mosquitos.

Please share any tips or tricks that works for you - especially if you have health issues or older adventure traveller! TIA

Merino is too itchy...how's alpaca? Other suggestions?

I'm cursed with a pretty bad sensitivity to wool - even merino blend shirts make me itch within minutes of wearing them. I've read alpaca doesn't have the same issues as other wools - but then again, that's also what I read about merino! If you have experienced issues with merino, is alpaca better? Do you have any other long-wearing recommendations for shirts and underwear? I haven't had too much trouble with synthetics being stinky, but I wanted to see if there were options

Some onebag gear tips and recommendations from Japan

These are some of the gear in Japan that I've found to be really great for me, and not mentioned here often (or at all).

  • (1) Ultralight compact umbrella

They weigh about 65-90g (2.3-3.5oz). I've had mine for about 10 years, and think it is the best purchase I've ever made, as it is so light and compact that its always with me but never think about it (due to its lack of weight and bulk), and when I need it its just there. Of course, not as strong or big as a "proper" umbrella, but for 10 years it has held up absolutely fine while also occasionally inverting. You can find them in stores like Tokyo Hands, or on Amazon JP under different brands such as (Waterfront, WPC, Kizawa, Moonbat).

  • (2) Columbia Hawthorne rain sneakers/boots

I like shoes that both look casual and I can (somewhat) hike in. And these are my current one bag shoes (from previously using the discontinued North Face Snow Sneakers and Tretorn GTX). Available both as sneakers and mid high boot form factors, they look casual while also being waterproof (GoreTex equivalent) and offer Vibram soles. Only available from Columbia/Amazon Japan I think, and has model numbers YU####.

  • (3) Fujitsu FMV Lifebook WU-X/H1 14" laptop

Just an insanely light laptop while being decent size and specs too, weighing in at 689g (1.5 lbs). Can get it down to about 130000 JPY (~850 USD) with stacking discounts from the FMV JP website. Not as great as a Thinkpad, but I got to use as a travel laptop to save significant weight.

  • (4) Dollar stores (Daiso/Can-Do/Seria 100 yen stores)

These are great to pick up bits and bobs, and some even have a little hiking and camping gear.

  • (5) Uniqlo Ultralight down jacket/Storm rain shell

I think good price performance ratio, although my rain shell has started to delaminate. Can also be picked up worldwide.

  • (6) Workman Plus stores

Although geared towards professional "workers". These stores offer a surprising selection of low-cost hiking clothing and can be worth checking out.

Otherwise, there are lots of high quality (one-)bags available too, for example at Tokyo Hands or hiking stores (Victoria, Montbell, and maybe online Yahoo/Mercari auctions).

Comfortable all-day carry under 30L

I'm looking for a comfortable bag to carry all day, for times that I don't have day accommodations (ex. when staying in hostels). I currently use, and love, the MLC 30, but when fully packed it's heavy and not a great all-day carry. The hip belt does a mediocre job of transferring weight to the hips.

tl;dr: I'm looking for a comfortable carry with load on the hips.

The three things I consider for comfort are:

  1. Good hip belt weight transfer. - Hip belt is non-negotiable, my shoulder aches after a couple hours of carrying any load (it's a problem).

  2. Breathable back panel. - To avoid Sweaty Back Syndrome.

  3. Weight. - For an all day carry, I think weight matters. Not at a gram level, but at a pound level.

Other requirements:

  1. External shove-it. - ex. a bungee cord back, so I can stash an unused jacket.

  2. Clamshell opening. - I don't unpack at destinations and don't want a top-loader.

  3. Water bottle pocket.

  4. Laptop compartment. - Probably won't have a laptop, but might.

  5. Under 30L. - I want most under seat options to be viable, and I need less than 30L of space.

Preferred, but not required:

  1. Personal item size. - (By USA standards, roughly 18"x12"x8"). I can make due with a ~22L main compartment, and smaller bags will keep weight centered more comfortable, IMO.

I don't care about:

  1. Interior organization. - All I need is a slash pocket, and maybe one other quick-access pocket. (The MLC "office panel" is way more than I need.)

  2. Looks. - As long as it comes in black, I don't care if it looks urban or outdoorsy.

Options I've ruled out:

  • The Osprey 26+6 doesn't support a hip belt and is relatively deep.

  • The Aer Pro Pack and Aer CPP don't support hip belts and are kind of heavy.

  • Evergoods CPL doesn't have a hip belt and doesn't seem amicable to modding it to include one.

The hardest combination seems to be finding a 30L or less clamshell with a hip belt.

So far the ULA Dragonfly is the only bag I've found that meets this. Am I missing any?

Tortuga Expandable Pack - UK/Europe

First up, I’ve just seen the new expandable bag (27L-32.5L) from Tortuga which looks like it could be my ideal bag - https://www.tortugabackpacks.com/products/expandable-backpack. Has anyone bought one and have any initial thoughts?

Secondly, does anyone know a good stockist of Tortuga gear in the UK or mainland Europe? I hadn’t appreciated that you can’t buy them direct.

Laptops for non-business travel

I have a perhaps simple question.

I tend to pack a laptop when travelling because of experiences I've had struggling to access websites and other resources while abroad and with a kinda-crappy cellphone, ending withe thinking "I wish I had a laptop to just look at this site as intended". Recently I discovered this subreddit and have been intrigued and inspired for minimizing my loadout for travelling, particularly by air.

My bulky-ish (that is, not a MacBook) laptop pushes my bag needs past the threshold of Personal Item for most Canadian airlines into Carry-on size/weight, which some airlines charge extra for whole some include carry-on in their ticket prices. This has raised a question that you folks may be better equipped/experienced in answering:

How often do you encounter dysfunctional mobile-facing websites or apps while travelling abroad or across cities? Particularly those that create roadblocks if you're using a not-top-of-the-line Android phone.

And I guess another question: how often have you missed having an actual laptop to navigate web-based resources in unfamiliar cities/countries?

Essentially, I'm curious if I would have a better time investing in a sleeker laptop or a more powerful phone to aid in my travels. Realistically, I'm not looking to leave the country anytime soon but I'd like to plan ahead in case that changes

EDIT: Big thanks to everyone giving their advice and insights! You really helped me parse which of my concerns were caution and which were anxiety. It looks like a phone upgrade is in the cards for me, which opens up my options for when I eventually do upgrade my luggage as I'll be less reliant on a laptop sleeve! This community really rocks

Onebag community, I need your expertise!

I’m looking for a travel backpack that can pass as a personal item for KLM or Transavia flights (40 x 30 x 20 cm / 15.75 x 11.81 x 7.87 in).  I’m from the EU. Volume: 20-30L Budget: around €200 ($300 max)

I checked the spreadsheet and previous recommendation posts but I’m so out of my depth here!

Requirements:

  • black or grey colour
  • classic, sleek or minimalistic design
  • clamshell (because it looks so cool)
  • easy access to tech accessories / pouch
  • needs to fit at least one paper book
  • needs to fit at least a light jacket and hoodie
  • needs to fit a wallet on chain (small handbag)
  • bonus: room for toiletry pouch

The following is not important to me:

  • water resistance
  • laptop compartment

I have my eye on the Aer Pro Pack 20L. Is it a good pick? Other suggestions?

I also saw the: •Cotopaxi Allpa 20 in ‘smoke’ (not sure if I love the look) •Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC and Aer travel pack 3. Will they be too big?

Your help would be much appreciated!

Student Looking for a Backpack for Plane Travel & Daily Use

Hey everyone!

I’m a university student looking for a versatile backpack that I can use as my personal item on flights and also as a daily driver on campus and pretty much anywhere. Here are my main requirements:

• Size must be 16 x 33 x 43 cm (6 x 13 x 17 inches) to meet airline guidelines.

• Needs to fit a 16” laptop.

• I’d like it to have good storage space to fit as much as possible within these dimensions.

• My budget is $60 max (Canadian $)

Any suggestions for a durable, spacious backpack that meets these specs and is comfortable for daily use? Thanks in advance!

Bellroy Transit pro 22L vs Aer City pack pro ultra/Travel pack pro small ultra?

New to getting a good backpack, mostly used the cheap uncomfortable ones and did some quick research and these seemed really good. Bellroy just refreshed this backpack 2 weeks ago so could be good timing, but I’ve heard people think the materials they used is cheaper than the previous ones. For Aer, I’ve heard this is the best go to brand for most people and they just released this ultra lineup recently, which seems to be really nice nature resistant material. I was looking at the city pack pro and the travel pack pro small since I think around the 20-24L backpacks would be good to look for everyday use. Was curious on what people thought about these Aer’s vs this bellroy and which is better between these two Aers and if people like the Ultras?

Ridiculous one bag travel

I wanted to buy a backpack in Vietnam so I packed my two packing cubes and toiletries in a medium blue Ikea bag. Took that as my carry on and bought my backpack later on my trip. Worked fine for a one week trip, staying in a hotel. Dunno if I'd do it in a different situation.

My Vote for the "One Shoe"

The Blundstone Chisel Toe (I wear Black but other colours work)

https://preview.redd.it/cr6ku42m1cyd1.png?width=485&format=png&auto=webp&s=94b7aef3e107894429064726f19fec42a12ed07f

Situations it covers:

Hiking, City Walking, Nice bars and restaurants, Formal dress (I wear mine with a suit all the time), Any countries where you're required to take off shoes often, Standing (seriously, just a little heel support goes a long way)

Benefits:

Very water proof, very durable, can be buffed or shined when looking run down, lighter than almost any hiking boot or shoe, Comes in thermal if you want.

Situations it does not cover:

Running (this is the big negative, not a workout shoe), Shorts (do not pair with shorts, you'll look like an idiot)

Cons:

Neigh Unpackable - must be worn on plane, Requires insoles - nothing fancy, dr scholls work great, but a little under padded without

Thoughts? Gripes? Rebuttals?

Decathlon & 32 Degrees, don't need to spend a lot to travel!

I’m going to play the keep-your-budget-low argument for Decathlon and 32 Degrees clothing (not sponsored or affiliated in ANY way, just a happy consumer).

Decathlon’s perfect-under-the-seat Quechua Escape 500 23L is just $50 and their larger fits-under-the-seat-if-not-fully-filled Quechua Escape 500 32L is just $60. They have excellent laptop holder pockets, neat side stretch water bottle holders, and made of strong lost lasting material. Personally, I’ve cut off the waist belt of the 32L since I never use that.

I’ve traveled all over with both, usually taking the 23L for shorter trips (where I don’t want any hassles) and risking the larger one for bigger trips (as long as I don’t overstuff it, it fits fine – though technically it pushes airline personal item limits).

$49.99 Escape 500 23L https://www.decathlon.com/collections/lifestyle-packs/products/quechua-nh-escape-500-23l-hiking-backpack-334344

$59.99 Escape 500 32L https://www.decathlon.com/collections/lifestyle-packs/products/hiking-backpack-32l-nh-escape-500-334334

Clothing wise, I find synthetic clothing closing takes the least space and I don’t like spending a lot on it, so most of my travel clothing comes from 32 Degrees. The materials are thin and roll/pack into almost nothing. Some trips I buy brand new ones and keep them in the original packaging until I get to the destination. I usually wear on the airplane my regular jeans and pack the black pants for dressier evening wear:

$19.99 Men’s Classic Pant (black): https://www.32degrees.com/products/mens-stretch-woven-pant?variant=31396059873369

For shirts I carry their t-shirts which also pack tight and look great:

$5.99 Men’s Cool Classic Crew T-Shirt: https://www.32degrees.com/collections/mens-tops/products/mens-cool-crew-neck-tee-shirt?variant=31967468716121

I also carry their shorter socks for less space consumption.

Just my two cents, as I continue to read all the recommendations for bags and clothing costing 10-100 times more...

Advice for a daypack

Hi everyone, I apologise in advance for the wall of text 😅 I have an Aer TP3 (cordura) that I love for travelling since it allows me to only bring that for almost every destination. It has only one main drawback that I found till now, it is too big once arrived to destination as daybag (I’ve already tried compressing it with the side straps). To note that I use a small camera cube (like the PD small/smedium dimensions) for my mirrorless (Fuji xh-1).

I’m looking for a complementary bag for the Aer. I’m open to slings and smaller backpack but I’ve yet to find the optimal solution. I’ve excluded packable bags since usually have thinner straps where I’m not able to attach the capture clip (this is a must). For the same reason I’m on the edge about slings like tomtoc t33 which is awesome for many things but I don’t know if it fits my need. Another thing that I’m not sure about slings is how comfortable they are carrying them around all day walking. Backpacks like the aer go 2 or the moment mtw 17/21 seemed very interesting for my needs but I didn’t quite find the information I was looking for (like how flat they can get or how comfortable they get when loaded).

My daily carry while travelling is usually the camera cube (XH1 + 16-55 + 35 1.4, some batteries), a bottle of water, sunglasses, keys, wallet/passport, smartphone, power bank with cable, airpods, small gel to clean hands, sometimes a hoodie.

To conclude I’m open to suggestions about slings and or bags that can lay flat (or close to that) inside the TP3 (it would be a dream if it can fit inside the laptop section). Thanks in advance

Australia: carry on rolled with duffle or backpack

Hello, I travel frequently from Australia to Sth East Asia with one carry-on bag and a small tote hybrid. I understand that backpacks are lighter weight and have better features, however I have back problems and need to be able to wheel a bag occasionally. I generally use a July hard shell carry-on which weighs 1.7 kgs but am finding that with no external pocket its a hassle going through security. I am looking for a lightweight hybrid bag around 30 litres weighing around 1.8 kgs dimensions 55cm x36 x 22cm. I fly with Air Asia, Batik, Jet Star, Scoot etc and they are militant at my airport about size and weight (total combined weight of 7kgs for both carryon and personal item) and check in staff will even weigh bags again as you are leaving the terminal!

I most recently tried a rollling duffle by Tosca bag also but it tipped over frequently. We cannot get Carry Max bags here but I like the idea of a few of their rolling backpacks - Metz 30 l hybrid.

Any recommendations for a small, ultralight rolling backpack or duffle under 1.8 kgs in Australia and no more than 30 litres? TIA

Buy/Sell/Trade Thread - November 2024

Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a recent date.

If you have some gear sitting around that you would like to sell or trade, list it below. Items you can list include bags, travel clothing, and items that would go well in a onebag. If something is clearly outside of these categories it will likely be removed. Only list items that you are personally selling, and don't just link to a website for sale.

AUTHENTICATED IMAGE

Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a date. For example a piece of paper on top of the item, including your username and recent date. Sales posts without this will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned. If the seller is not willing to post images to this thread do not proceed with the transaction.

POST SAMPLE

Post titles should look something like this: WTS - Osprey Porter 30L - $XX

Each post should begin with one of the following:

  • WTS (want to sell)
  • WTB (want to buy)
  • WTT (want to trade)

Include details about the pack or item. Size, condition, price, location, picture links, etc. If trading, list a few of the possible items you're looking for. Be sure to mention what country you are in, so potential buyers are aware.

TRANSACTION SAFETY TIPS

Be aware that there are scammers active on Reddit, and on this sub-reddit. Any transaction comes with some risk -- decide whether the risk is worth it to you. The following tips can help reduce that risk.

  • Be wary of new accounts with no posting history. You are entering into a personal transaction which is entirely between you and the buyer/seller. It is entirely up to you to do your due diligence to ensure a smooth transaction.
  • Before entering into private chat with a buyer/seller ensure both parties respond directly to a comment below. This ensures respondents pass basic posting requirements, and provides an initial log of any discussion. This goes for all transactions. The more eyes on a transaction the better.
  • If you are using Paypal, use "Goods and Services". Never pay using the "Friends and Family" option. You lose a lot of leverage with Paypal when contesting F&F transactions.
  • Google search the username. Scammers are often active in multiple sub-reddits; a search might reveal a pattern of behavior. The Universal Scammer List, and r/sneakermarket/banlist are good resources providing some supplemental background to the people you're dealing with. Obviously this should not be your only source, but it can offer some great insight.

Travel backpack suggestions

Hi guys,

I am actually looking for a replacement travel backpack for my Cabinzero classic 36L backpack as the strings came undone on multiple occasions and done stitching it by myself. It is well well worn and breaking apart. I had a Peak design duffel 35L and I find it a little difficult to carry on long walks while waiting for my flights exploring the airports. Now I am a little torn between the PD 30L travel backpack and the AER travel pack 3 35L. The 35L fits me just nicely with room for clothes and souvenirs for a carry-on. The AER is almost half the price of the PD where I am from after discounts online. I also dont travel with tech (laptops etc) I can't find anywhere that I can try on the AER as there are no physical shop selling them and I am only able to judge based on internet searches. How does it fare in the long run? If it could last me 5 years then it will be great. I've had the PD duffel for almost 5 years now minus the 1 year of travel restrictions and its holding strong.
