Global capitalism is nearly there. At the end of the world there will only be liquid advertisement and gaseous desire. Sublimated from our bodies, our untethered senses will endlessly ride escalators through pristine artificial environments, more and less than human, drugged-up and drugged down, catalyzed, consuming and consumed by a relentlessly rich economy of sensory information, valued by the pixel. The Virtual Plaza welcomes you, and you will welcome it too.

Hi, New here :) I'm looking to find the song used as a sample on a track I heard yesterday that's haunting me. Its really beautiful and it's frustrating that I can't find the OG song. The only lyric on repeat is 'stay' and so I'm having a difficult time googling it, and Shazam doesn't recognise it maybe because it's been slowed. I'm sure it is a song from the 80's though. Can anyone help?
This is the video -

It is track 2. (2:20)
Thank you.
The more, the better tbh, genuinely want to know

The track is here, off "Full Visual Album" [1]
My guess is the original is either a Seth Haley (Com Truise) or Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) track. The style is a filtered, subtle bass long attack time synth patch, maybe even on a vintage Roland or Yamaha analogue synthesizer. This sort of sound was most certainly experimental and marginally popular through the space / ambient / ethereal / house / trance period in the 20th century, approximately the years 1970-2010. I think the particular style of patch may actually be known as "amplitude modulation."
Actually, it appears this sound was so unpopular, hippie, and nineteen-seventies oriented that none other than Sasha and John Digweed had to compose an original tune using these timbres and stick it between Speed J's Fusion (Live) and Humate 3.2, the second and third mixed tracks in Sasha & Digweed's Northern Exposure 2 (Westcoast Edition). My collection has been a little quiet this year, so please share some of your favorite releases that came out in 2024. Anything that fits under the vaporwave umbrella is welcome. Or share your own releases if you're a creator!
To kick things off, one of the few albums I've greatly enjoyed is "Channel Surf" by Corrupt Save. Classic sample-based vaporwave with plenty of fuzzy distortion and retro TV audio clips mixed in.
I've always been a fan of HKE and Telepath's collaborations, and it's been a few years since an album has dropped. Is there anything planned for the future? Did they part ways?
