Hi all. As you may have seen on Instagram last week, the funding for the Vinyl pressing had failed. But it’s not over just yet.

I have already sent everyone who paid via PayPal refunds, and will be processing Stripe refunds over the next few days. I will be working on cassette tapes of that album as it will be easier to fund, and I plan on running the vinyl orders again in the future once I can actually fund it myself. Stripe and Paypal have taken some money from transaction fees and stuff, which I have to pay back out of my own pocket, so please do note that some refunds may be a little later than others, and for that I am sorry. Please contact me if need be and I can do my best to get the money back to you faster.

I have been told that Keith was asking for me to join the official DDS discord server, but I actually don’t have an account. I can make one just for shits and giggles and if someone invites me I will join the server. I know the people in there actually hate me or some shit, which would make it so funny if this actually happens. Can’t guarantee I’d stay there for long though.

If you have any questions please reach out to me here. I’m trying to be as transparent as possible as I know there were a lot of doubts with the project to begin with. I do plan on making tapes first from here on out, with vinyl coming later if people order enough. I will not be focusing mainly on DDS, just FYI. I have had people asking me what DDS thing I’m doing next when I don’t even have anything planned. Only this tape/maybe vinyl run and that’s it. After that I’ll move onto HOME - Odyssey.

Does anyone know if they'll actually fulfill outstanding orders? I have an order that was supposed to ship in October and another that was supposed to ship in December.

Only reason I'm asking is because he hasn't answered any emails in a few months. I had an order a couple months ago that I never received and he replied "I was under the impression it had shipped" and "I'll chase it with my fulfillment partner". So he's not even aware whether his orders are being processed and shipped or not?

I just want to know whether I should charge back my 3 existing orders or not. I don't mind waiting but I'd like to know whether I'll ever receiver them or not.

I forgot about this pre-order and was presently surprised today. Anyone get a copy of the test pressing? I missed out on that one

I know for half of you i'm the villain and I don't like reddit but I sometimes I just need to point things out and thats that.

Regardless here are my thoughts as they are currently:

Most labels are basically trying to use FOMO as a sales tactic, we (vill4in) have been in the game for awhile to really see it in effect. in 2019/2020 it was an interesting time cause people could easy sell 500 copies of a album without any issue in a few hours but things have changed, the music has changed, the community has changed and ultimately its become a race to the bottom for everybody.

Theres no one who hasn't felt the effect of change over 5 years when collecting vaporwave was a nice niche feeling to this day where basically its become back into the underground where its trying to survive at this point for a limited amount of people.

Labels are currently trying to retain these same tactics to remain relevant by pressing less and less copies. it is just simple the market at this time.

It's a race to the bottom. I am actually curious about your thoughts about this but its undeniable for me as a collector first and a distributor later.

I understand that you should just enjoy your hobby but at the same time just look at it how it is. Its fomo by design, its fashion, it is what it is.
