I'm on mobile btw. I tried searching on the google play store, on the internet, but it seems that I can't find one.
Hey all,
A while back, I downloaded an album/EP that was fairly short in length. It was composed by a renowned composer of music for the Nintendo and Super Nintendo, who I’m confident had Yoko as a first name. There were two parts to the album/EP; the first was comprised of short 8 bit compositions and the second was comprised of 16 bit compositions. It would have come out recently, sometime around the late 2010s to early 2020s. If anyone had any idea whatsoever about what ‘ talking about, I would appreciate it immensely.
Download the .MOD here and try to play it on real Amiga hardware:
Why isn't there any tutorials on YT for FM synthesis on Furnace? I seriously haven't any helpful tutorial on how to use the FM modulators. You might just ask, "Well, don't you make one?". But I'm actually part of those who don't know how to use FM. It's way to complicated imo, with all it's parameters. Now, I don't think I'm an incompetent chiptuner, and hopefully, you don't either. And not to brag, but can use many chips that don't include FM, such as PSGs, WSGs, and PCM chips.
But I do want to use FM chips like the Genesis YM2612 (despite being overused, imo, I'd still to do something with it) or the OPLL (does have useful presets, otherwise I wouldn't know wtf I'm doing with making a custom waveform) or the OPN. All I really know how to do is borrow instruments from other songs, which isn't very beneficial. Help with this would be appreciated
Around a week ago i downloaded furnace, finally put some of my patchy music knowledge to use. Im still unsure of what actual chiptuners/musicians think of it though, as they are quite literally my first songs I’m open to constructive criticism but I’m just sharing here in a general sense to share what I’ve made, as I’ve always been inspired by chiptune stuff and wanted to learn from it :)
also will put second song in comments
My long-awaited album is finally released on Bandcamp! Making this project has been so much fun and I hope everyone that listens enjoys it :) Coming to streaming services very soon..
This pack can be downloaded here.
I have compiled all of the OPL3 instruments I have made into a pack containing just over 300 presets, all organized neatly into folders. It has a decent variety of sounds ranging from gnarly basses, drums and percussion, powerful leads, some really weird sounds, and a handful of SFX. I think it covers a wide range of the sounds that are possible with the chip. If you've heard any of my OPL3 music before, then you've heard these patches. It also contains a modest number of 4-operator mode presets which are labeled as such.
Anyone who uses Tildearrow's Furnace Tracker will be able to use them with the OPL3 chip. Not all of the patches rely on OPL3-specific features so a lot will work on OPL2 as well.
I hope it can help fellow chiptune artists who aren't as familiar with FM Synthesis and patch design as I am but still want to play with the wide variety of sounds it is capable of. Do whatever you want with them. Happy tracking!
Inspired by Deathspell Omega, Ad Nauseam, and Epistasis. My first release combining chipmusic with elements of black metal.
I'm too late for the meme, but I had this mash-up idea ever since I played Sonic Mania...
Tracked in Furnace Tracker using Mega Drive sound chips YM2612 and Sega PSG. Audio output is vgm player with genesis model 1 filter effect.
Basically, I add the carnival night melody om top of the Danger on the Dancefloor boss song (it fits perfectly! ). I also added some mystic cave elements since it also is chromatic. 😊
Please enjoy!
I recreated "Pushing Onwards" from VVVVVV. Amazing game with great visuals and great soundtracks. I tried to remake it as accurately as possible, all done in FL Studio Mobile. Let me know how I did!

Playing For The Love Of God by Steve Vai. The chiptune sound surprising suits the timbre of the song.
come on, did I just write something that was already something?

Also, can we normalize ITAAS?
I'm looking for something to make chiptunes with higher resolution drum samples, but still have a similar feel and look as famitracker. A friend recommended me Renoise, but I think it's too advanced for me :)
