I only collect tools that have some historical value, ingenious or exotic mechanisms, or any other characteristic that stands out from the crowd. These Craftsman pliers made by Western Forge are not just any tongue and groove, they are robust and very well made, they are a reminder of the golden age of Craftsman and American manufacturing.
Got a lot of friends who run the Mac Brand wrenches and these Craftsman V Series are very similar. Decided to try them out and I absolutely love them.
This is my first post so pls bear with me.
The tools I have been passed down by my dad and Grandfather I don’t have much but it’s what I have that was gave to me. I have some older S-K and some snap-on but I have been looking to build my collection as I take on projects. I would like to stay with made in the USA but I don’t know what or where to look any suggestions would be a great help.
Here is mine. 168 inches of Epiq.

Kaizen foamed a drawer of my most used drivers.
This is my new (1949) Delta Unisaw I picked up a few weeks ago and did a full restoration on. Ready for another 75yrs!
Industrial control and automation electrician. This is what I take on site.
Just picked up this Vaughan axe handled framer since I was liking my 16oz smooth face so much. Gotta give it the Larry Haun tape job.
Can’t find anything about it. Has chrome vanadium on the shaft. There’s a phillips version that has a red handle. Want to find a replacement. With the hex on the handle. I’m In Australia if that helps.
Done the shaft mod and had an Etsy seller make me this bit holder designed by johnzanussi on printables.Best screwdriver on the market imo.
That Facom 509 is how compact locking pliers should be made. Way better than the Knipex (Bollmann-Selzer). Unfortunately, Facom didn't make them anymore.
Just picked up me DCE100M1 Dewalt small blower to dry my cars off after washing and honestly I’m slightly disappointed with its capabilities. It’s got plenty of power for what it is but I just need more powa baby :)
Has anybody upgraded the fan/compressor wheel in there’s for some more wind speed?

I must say I agree now that I have seen it in person. Of course function is always paramount, but it's also nice when the tool just looks good.
…bought them just to be polite of course.
Wera 6pc driver set: #1 & #2 Phillips, #1 & #2 Robbie, and two sizes of flathead drivers.
Made the decision to import a Craftsman to Europe when it was on sale as I was curious, it’s the long flex head 1/2” V-Series. Was a bit rough in the beginning but after some love and turning it’s pleasant to use, not more backdrag then a Hazet 90 tooth (though smoother), Stahlwille 80 tooth (it’s honestly better..), Facom sealed flex head (same but different and 72 teeth), Bahco Dual 80 (comparable smoothness and backdrag), etc.. Only Ko-ken, and a few moded ones are smoother and have lower backdrag.
I like the handle and I’m able to really tighten up the flex head for a stiff but movable head. Nice chrome, honestly just as good as Nepros. Though I like the super fine satin finish of Koken, Stahlwille, TopTul better 🫣
I honestly think this ratchet have a bad rep for not meeting the expectations of nostalgia and not being made in the US, (Taiwan have one of the if not the best tool production capabilities imo.)
For 42 dollars it’s probably one of the best value quality ratchets I’ve come across. Maybe Tekton, and a moded GearWrench 90T have a claim here as well..

Fully operational South Bend 9A built in 1945. Not polished up yet, but a facelift is coming!
It’s amazing how many of these lathes were made and how many are still in operation .
