Can I get advice between the Big Shot by Sizzix and the Spellbinders Platinum?
I'd like to get a sturdy brand. I will be making greeting cards, small boxes (various sizes). If there are other brands that you think may be comparable, I'm happy to learn about them as well. I feel that I've read so much that now I'm confused. Thanks in advance.
I've been searching for instructions for making these vintage style trivets. Oddly I can't seem to find any. Anyone have any insight?
Hi! When I was little my mom would make us and all of our cousins stockings for Christmas. I have a daughter now and I would love to make one for her. The issue is they were king of unique and I can’t find a pattern for them anywhere, or even of anything similar. They were like long tube socks glued together along with fabric, ribbons, and buttons to make them look like little overalls. There was a way to fold and glue the socks so you would have the sleeves, legs, and a space in the middle for stocking stuffers. My mom isn’t around to show me how to make them, I made them with her once when I was little but I just can’t remember how to do it. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I’d like to cut the cans I have and insert them into my journals, but when I cut them, they obviously stay curved and are impossible to attach to the journal. How can I flatten them?
I want to lead a DIY Glow Sketch Pillowcase craft for a sleepover birthday party for 8 year olds. The idea is you paint a big shape, like a cloud, and on that shape, you can use a blacklight to "sketch" on that background. You can google it for the idea. I am not sure what kind of paint to use. Does anyone know, or know where I could ask?
My 13 yo daughter is an avid crafter and excels i most areas with art.
What are some fun and quirky crafts i can introduce her to for Christmas? She takes after me with suspected ADHD and she loves witchy things-more so forest than Halloween.
She already- Draws (real life and digital on her iPad) Sculpts critters with air and polymer clay Makes beaded bracelets Crochet’s little critters
I wanted to get her a pin maker but the ones on amazon had shit reviews and I think $250 for a good one when I don’t know if she will stick with it is a little excessive
Same with thermal printers for stickers. Searches here said the amazon ones are just scams to collect data from your phone through their sketchy apps
Awwwwww … Biting is TRUST. Cat Love Bites.
With it being black Friday, I want to get a cutting machine to expedite the process of cutting out my paper dolls.
They do have intricate pieces in places, like the hands and fingers which are quite small at a 1/4" for the size of the hand. Which cutting machine, Cricut, Silhouette or other, is best capable of doing this?
Speed of cutting isn't an issue to me, as long as the cut is accurate and fine-detailed
I am looking primarily at the circut maker 3 as it has a lot of features I am interested in using for other projects, but I am open to any brand recommendations as long as it can do what I need it to.
Thanks in advance!
Hi there, new fella here! I recently got the idea to make a little modular maze-like puzzle out of blocks with some characters from a game I like.
However, eventually, i would like to be able to make a frame/holder for them and also keep them from falling out of it! My thought process was to put little magnets on the back of the block and have the back panel of the frame be some kind of magnetic material. Right now my total blocks would add up to be about (but not exactly) 6"x4.5". Does anyone know how I could get something magnetic enough in that size (or close enough)? I don't think they make magnetic whiteboards that small 🤔
Hi!
I made some salt dough a few days ago and wanted to paint one of my pieces blue (using Acrylic paint), then cover the piece with a few layers of Deco Art Triple Thick Glaze to give it a nice shine.
That said, when I start painting the Triple Thick onto my piece, it turns white and splotchy? I have allowed the multiple coats of blue paint to try fully, so I am very confused as to why this is happening. It seems like very common practice to use this glaze on air dry pottery.
I will insert a picture here.
Thank you!
What's going wrong? Is the laminator too hot? I only want the foil on the lettering
Hi Everyone,Im curently looking into making a new platform for creative people & DIY. I'd love to get some feebback if possibile on the following
What’s your biggest challenge as a creator, and what do you think platforms like Instagram/Pintrest etc.. are missing?
If you could design the perfect platform for creative people, what would it include?
What makes you join or stick with a creative community? What’s most important: resources, interaction, recognition, or something else?
If anyone is intrested in answering more detailed questions I would really appreciate that, please send me a message, thank you so much
I need a replacement O-ring for my jacket (pictured below). I contacted the manufacturer and they had no leads. where would be the best place to scout out a replacement?
