Sounds like FanDual will be available (as an add on) to your Prime Video subscriptions. Articles say no announcement yet regarding when and how. Cheers and Kenrich looked good last night.
I've seen this same story from 4 or 5 different spots. I guess they could all just be quoting one another?!?
It doesn't even make sense to me. Giannis doesn't meet our timing at all and he doesn't match our style of play. Plus I dont like what's going on there anyway. Giannis AND Dame both scoring and they still can't win? I wouldnt subject one of our guys to that crap.
I do worry about Chet's health but Giannis certainly isn't any better in that regard and I'm totally bought in with Chet and OKC's style.
Am I missing something?
No one here has ever doubted Chet’s importance to the Thunder, but before the season started I was of the belief that Chet was probably the least replaceable piece of this roster, due to how it is constructed.
I’m not arguing that Chet is the best player (although I can see an argument being made for that) but this roster is guard heavy and while any player missing time would be missed there is at least a quality guard that can step up and fill in a role pretty well for an extended time. But there is no other player on the Thunder that does what Chet does.
I was super happy to see that the Thunder insured against that (and added to the roster) with the IHart signing. It’s most unfortunate that all of the injuries have been to the bigs.
I think we will manage fine in the short run but we definitely need a healthy Chet and IHart for the playoff run. It would really suck to have this possible playoff run be derailed by injuries this season.
This season is another example of when you have a shot at winning a title in ANY season you have to make the most of it in that season. So many variables can derail a title shot that it cannot be taken for granted.
I’m not advocating for a trade, but I would not be surprised if Presti makes a move at the trade deadline if Chet isn’t looking like a sure thing fully functional piece before the playoffs start. I’m not saying a push your chips in kind of move but a needle mover type of deal.
Hopefully a move will not be necessary. I would rather see a move be a beneficial move, and not an all in or desperation move. But I think the Thunder will be aggressively looking to make a move if it looks like Chet is “iffy” for the playoffs.
Thunder have been outrebounded 105-60 in their last two matchups, yet have won both. Now I know the Pelicans and Clippers aren't world beaters, and just simply aren't great teams with all the injuries both are dealing with; with that said they still have something the Thunder have a distinct lack of: healthy big men. But, the old addage is that the team who wins the rebound battle will win the game a vast majority of the time. This doesn't seem to apply to the Thunder.
I think the Thunder may be inventing a new formula to winning. Instead of focusing on rebounding (With their lack of healthy bigs) they are focusing on forcing turnovers. In these two games they have forced 46 turnovers and only surrendered 16 turnovers of their own (A difference of +30.) The difference in turnovers has led to a margin of 61-25 (+36) when it comes to points scored off turnovers.
The real questions that remain: Does this method of winning hold up against teams that are better than the Clippers and Pelicans? And, even if this method does hold up against better teams, is this sustainable for a month long stretch without any big men available?
We own the Sixers first rounder this year protected 1-6.
At 2-9 to open the season, the sixers look playin bound, which would result in this pick landing in the sweet spot of 8-15.
This pick might actually end up better than the Clippers swap. How do you feel about the start of the Sixers season? Are you worried they might tank for a top 6 pick, or do you think they'll end up making the playoffs once Embiid gets back?
I was wrong
Typically people pump fake and then dribble to the side to shoot it. How come they don’t just step into a shot like they do dunks/layups
Might be the gameplan of stop everybody else and let wemby be wemby since we have no Chet or big man
Who if anyone should Presti go out and sign out of free agency or trade for in case Chet is out longer than the 8-10 weeks? I personally want to see Boogie Cousins in Thunder Blue I’ve also wanted that since the Russ KD days.
Anybody know what Taj Gibson is up to??
“The Smitty. They call that The Smitty!”
Jdub all star game starting center 😎
No black brace on his left hand! 💪
Best start since 2011-2012... The March to the Finals rolls on! 💯
Dude has been on fire. Eleven games, I know, but the shot has looked like high-arcing butter. His kind of insanely great defense combined with this kind of efficiency has him looking like an S-tier 3&D wing for the start of this season.
I watch all 82 every season. But just realizing this tonight especially with the addition of our rooks and Caruso. Are we the least tatted team in the NBA? It feels like it lol.
