Am I the only one who sees this?
Hey guys, new to Reddit. I live in Nebraska and have never been to Milwaukee before, but I’ve been a fan since my first basketball game I’ve ever watched on TV which was Michael Redd scoring 36 against the Spurs when I was a child (I remember it like it was yesterday)
Today I had the opportunity to watch the Bucks as an adult with my dad for the 1st time ever in person and actually had courtside tickets directly across Milwaukee’s bench. I wanted to invite him since he was the person who got me into this fandom.
The injury report came out 30 minutes before we got to OKC after an 8 hour drive, and while I was disappointed, I tried to remain positive and enjoy the moment. I got to my seat, and the ball boys let me join them in passing the ball to the players during warmups (had several assists to Taurean Prince)
Then things got shitty. The VP of Ticket Sales for the OKC Thunder (Scott Loft) came up to us and asked if we’ve been courtside before. We said no, and he told us that we needed to remove our Bucks clothing, or had to leave the Paycom Center. Now Thunder fans had kindhearted fun with us our entire time we were there, so we thought he was joking and laughed it off.
Then Scott Loft gave us the death stare and said “I’m serious. You have three options. Either switch seats, switch to Thunder gear, or leave the arena. You can Google me if you think I’m kidding.”
I replied “these are $4000 tickets and the only experience I’ve ever had to watch my team. As a sales rep, are the only consumers who matter Thunder fans?”
He said “If you want to argue about it you can just leave the arena then.”
So I told him to get the gear while fuming in my seat and security told us they would do everything they could to make this not happen. Why would I want to wear Thunder gear to my first Bucks game while our entire starting lineup isn’t even playing?
Thunder staff has the upper hand on Paycom security however, and Loft forced me to wear the cheapest Thunder jacket I’ve ever seen and change in the hallway. (Couldn’t even provide a changing room or bathroom)
Now I was petty and took it off as often as possible, wore it around my waist, and sometimes barely had the sleeves on, but the guy made me miss tipoff when I was there since the gate opened and kept telling me to “Google” him. It honestly killed the whole vibe as I watched the Thunder dismantle the Bucks bench in a game I figured would’ve been national television.
I saw Milwaukee players like Ajax and Taurean Prince look at me like I was an idiot, and honestly if I was in their shoes, I don’t blame them. I got courtside seats to watch my favorite team, and truly felt like an idiot.
I’m thankful I had the opportunity, but it definitely wasn’t what I was hoping for. I’m getting married in August and I’m hoping I can get to Milwaukee for a game for my bachelor party to hopefully see my favorite guys play.
I never really understood why people complain about load management, but now I see how both that and event staff can just destroy a persons experience to something they’ve been waiting forever to have happen. This is why the NFL is favored over the NBA, because of selfish people.
I hope we get over this hump. #BucksInSix
And I’ve been here since the beginning.
Get rid of these fucking bums man what are we doing? Let Carlson rot on the bench, not flag ducas and dj.
Edit: holy shit I just looked at all the recent posts. Didn’t mean to beat a dead horse 🤣🤣
Give Carlson this dudes two-way already
(LOL)
I’m an OKC native but never really had the money for an NBA game, but I went to one today and it was so much fun! Got myself a thunder basketball too!
Funniest guy on the team
Flagler is an absolute assassin at destroying 3 point FG percentage. I don’t see the value in his roster spot.
I know it’s Jones’ rookie year but as far as I am concerned drafting him was a swing and a miss.
Dieng does just enough here and there to give you some hope that if he is extended on a team friendly deal that he will pay dividends at some point in the future.
It’s nice to see Joe getting some quick shots off ala Steph Curry behind screens. It’s about time that part of his game is developed.
It’s really hard not to like JWill but he shouldn’t see anything but mop up minutes or minimal spot duty.
This team really misses Ajay Mitchell’s minutes.
If the team doesn’t make a move before the trade deadline I understand why, but that’s putting a TON of risk on Chet coming back in full Chet form.
It would suck to lose Joe or Wiggins at this point.
I still see Kenrich as just a guy.
Injury bug has been pretty rampant this year. Hate to see SGA playing so many minutes. Unnecessary risk.
SGA is a poet, assassin, and baller rolled up into one!
“Shai Gilgeous partner, he’s hotter than this OKC weather outside!”
That has to be the worst drought in Thunder history.
My man is hungry for a bucket. Any time he gets the ball he’s pulling 😂. Seriously might get his jersey
Well, that was a basketball game I suppose... 😆 #Winning
Ihart or Flagler? 💀
I’ve noticed after we get a 30-40 point lead headed into the fourth, our 3rd stringers bring our lead to only a 20 point win. Idk how far we make it :( Ousmane and Joe for Giannis maybe?

Who, when you watch the thunder play. Someone that gets some consistent minutes. You cringe a little bit and hope that it works out?
For me it's only Ousmane Deing. I'm fine when J-will or Kenrich Williams is on the floor, but when Ous gets the ball I just pray 🙏
The thunder feel so deep atm and let's hope that everyone's confidence can stay high in the play-offs
