Last year, I installed a Chinese "non official" graphics card in my desktop, that use laptop's GPU into a Desktop PCB. I created custom drivers by modifying the original files, but I'm limited by the 80-watt Thermal Design Power (TDP). It has additional power supply from the PSU by 8-pin connection, and I'm considering increasing the TDP to 105 watts. I've found official BIOS updates online, but they haven't been successful due the innexistence of the graphics card. I've attempted to modify the BIOS with a hex editor, but the content is unfamiliar to me. The performance is excellent, but it has the potential to be even better
Hi,
I have been having this issue for quite a while I couldnt find a fix by myself for that one.
My screens would randomly turn black (no particular event seems to cause that) and then a disconnecting sound from windows would then happen.
Moving the mouse doesnt bring the display back or anything but I can still hear the sound of the game I was playing or the music I was listening to
By pressing the power button once, my pc goes to sleep. When I wake it up, it goes into a bsod (i cant see it but I see my pc restart by the lighting on my keyboard)
Going into event viewer I see that I have a particular event happening and it is the ID 4101 "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Its funny because it does not successfully recovers since the screens stay black.
Looking further into the events I see the bsod event linked to a bugcheck 10e (i will copy the content of the dump file)
I had my card sent to EVGA for a RMA and the new one they sent also gave me the issue
With no clue on how to fix this I decided to nuke my pc and start fresh in hope that it would make the issue go away but oh no. Didn't take long for the problem to resurface.
I am now turning myself towards this subreddit in hope that somebody more experienced than me in nvidia gpus can help me.
pc specs:
Ryzen 5 56000x
MSI B550i Gaming Wifi
EVGA RTX3070 running the latest nvidia driver. I tried multiple drivers but to no avail
32gb GSkill Ripjaws

I recently upgraded my monitor to an LG 42 C3, which runs in 4k. I’m currently using an i7 14700k with an RTX 3080. Initially, I bought a 4080 when I upgraded to the 14700k, but I sold it because I didn’t need more FPS than the 3080 could deliver on my previous 1440p 21:9 setup. However, now that I’ve moved to 4k, I’m missing some FPS and considering upgrading to a slightly discounted 4080s OC ProArt available at my local hardware store.
Should I upgrade or wait for the 5000 series?
In the market for a new monitor. I found a sweet deal on a Dell monitor and looking to replace my 1920x1080 144hz Asus VG278 with it. The question is, will the 4060 be okay with this monitor? I play a lot of single-player games and gamepass stuff. The occasional sweat multiplayer match here and there.
Anybody have recommendations for what 4070 Ti Super version I could buy? I've been looking online and haven't found many options with the aesthetic I'm going for, which is white + has colored lighting (Will be keeping it at cyanish color). Or do you think I should just get a 4080s that doesn't fit my pc at all, which I would prefer not to do, but would have to since white 4080 doesn't rlly fit my budget. Thanks in advance for the help.
RTX 4070 on a 1080p monitor ( for now ) and using DLDSR 2.25 at 1620p.
Should I leave the default smoothness at 33% or lower it ? or increase it ?
Hello everyone, not sure if this has been asked before but for some reason, I can't get 3 displays to work at the same time.
I have 3 displays:
Odessy G8 Neo 4K 240hz (1) DP
Dell S2721DGF 2K 165hz (set at 120hz) (2) DP
and a Samsung QCQ90S TV 4K 144hz (3) HDMI
I want to be able to disable and reenable the TV whenever I want to use it as a third display, most often for YouTube but for some reason I can't use all 3 at once, Windows and Nvidia CP both detect it but won't allow me to enable it or use it as an extended display.
I can use Monitor 1 and 2 or 1 and 3, or 2 and 3 etc but not all at the same time.
I've tried reducing the refresh rate of the first 2 monitors and also tried reducing the G8 to 2K but nothing seems to work. I'm wondering if this is related to something else?
I recently built a new pc with tuf gaming 4090 oc edition and I cant close the case with that 1 to 4 pin psu connector. I'm looking to buy Corsair Premium 600W PCIe 5.0 / Gen 5 12VHPWR PSU Cable - Fits Type-4 PSUs via Dual 8-pin PCIe - 12+4pin to go into a evga supernova 1000w g+ psu. With only two connectors to the psu will this be fine?

Just for gaming. Which do you guys recommend?
Finally have funds to buy either of two. Which one is better choice? Can't afford other vendors either of because availability or higher price. Suggestions please and thank you.
Please tell me, is this Worth it?
Hoping I could get some advice. I built my PC in 20016 - It was my first ever build and I made some bad mistakes (e.g. MOBO with no built in wifi/bluetooth) which I've pasted the original partpicker list of below. I read up a lot at the time, but have fallen out of keeping up with GPUs and what's the best option at different price points.
Having been given a UW samsung G9 for work I thought I'd plug in my gaming PC, and can tell my 1070 is struggling. Where I'm looking for advice is; should I accept I made a bad CPU and MOBO decision and buy a whole new PC in a few months (I'd rather not spend a few thousand if I don't need to!) or, should I get a 4060, put it in this existing build for now, and then buy a 'GPU free' rig in say 6 months, to then put the 4060 in?

I have a ASUS GeForce Rtx 3090Ti TUF Gaming OC but I want to undervolt it for better temperatures and less power consumption so what would you recommend for mhz and voltage in core clock on msi afterburner for me to undervolt my gpu?
So me and my girlfriend both have Asus ROG Strix RTX 40 series graphics cards. I have a 4080 Super and she has a 4070 (as shown in the picture). They both have these connections and I have no idea what they are for but I am curious as to what purpose they serve
Just received my new 4070ti, but apparently it is bottleneck around 40% by my i7 9700k ??? Is there a way out of this without buying a 500$ cpu?
EDIT : I am playing at 3440x1440 on a 244hz ultrawide monitor.
Thank you for your comment!
Want to hear yall build to go off from.
I feel like gpu gets too hot, at room temp 73°F and gpu at 90-98% usage at 440W with the default fan curve, my temps are between 74 and 78°C with hotspots of 86-90. Isn’t this warm for a 4090?
Recently bought a second hand 3090, but when it is installed my PC wont boot, with POST showing a GPU error.
The fans spin up, but the ‘Geforce’ LED on the front does not light up. Does this mean that the card is not being powered correctly/enough?
I have tried multiple different cables, cables that came with my PSU, with no success. Only thing i thought was that the pigtail adapter could be faulty and not delivering enough power? As the different cables i have been using have all been going via that.
Hopefully that provides enough information, i can elaborate on anything necessary.
build pic (my first build go easy) - https://imgur.com/a/6sjUUJt
PSU for reference: - [x] https://amzn.eu/d/f0LZqgv - Gigabyte 850W 80 PLUS Gold Modular ATX Power Supply
I don't why it drives me as crazy as it does but i would really like to find a way to turn it off, I'm not really comfortable unplugging anything and I could not find instructions on how to do that. I've tried a couple programs.
-I've tried icue but it does not detect my graphics card, the site only lists up to the 3090 fe being compatible but not the ti
-I've tried x1 precision and it works but it does not save or load the settings after you restart your computer
edit: Tried OpenRGB as well and it set off my virus protection, winring0x64.sys
Picked up my 4090 the other day. The size difference is insane next to my first gpu (R7 260x).
Bought a custom PC from a shop about 1.5 years ago without any knowledge as to what's good/bad, I just wanted something decent to play my games. I paid ~$620 and it's been great, but I'm at the place where I need an upgrade.
I'll use apex as an example: I CAN achieve 120 fps, but only after lower my res to 1080p and having all low graphics settings. I would like to use my full 1440p res at med-highish graphics and still have 120 fps.
My CPU is an i7-6700, I have 32 GM RAM, and my GPU is GTX 1070 (I now realize this is pretty poopy).
My budget is probably $400-$800. I was hoping I could get some advice for graphics cards to look at?
Been waiting for Gigabyte or Zotac to drop a water blocked 4090 card, but they still haven't. Nor have I been able to find any info for them. Is there any info anywhere?
Found my old gtx 1080 box in the garage last night
Guys i just bought 1080ti amp extreme what is normal temperature while gaming? I changed thermal pads and and paste with arctic while gaming it's 69-80 is it normal? I saw some comments saying for this gpu it's normal temp
I wanted to try out adding thermal pads on the back plate of the card. What would the size of the pads be like? I've tried to look online but it seems like a lot of users heavily modified the back plate.
