Regardless of what I do, what settings I change in the center, I can NOT get it to stop reducing FPS. I'd honestly rather it have no control of my laptop what so ever. I just want my games fps to stay where I cap it. Not dip below. I had a small amount of success using game mode, that worked for like a day. Now it doesn't. Extreme performance or whatever still bottlenecks the performance at random times. I just want full control of my laptop that I paid for. Please help

I've got a X870e Godlike and I'm trying to output sound (5.1 specifically) to a receiver I have via an optical cable (S/PDIF) but nothing is coming out.

I updated the to the latest drivers from MSI page and got the MSI Realtek control panel but I don't really see any options to make it output specifically too optical. My receiver is set to the right source because it only has one optical input and the volume is turned up a lot on both PC and receiver and still getting nothing!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have an ssd and a hdd plus a new sata cable and my motherboard is the z3701 gaming pro carbon ac or the ddr4 boost and I’m using the msi click bios 5 but whenever I plug In either of the sata cables into my ssd or my hdd it doesn’t detect it and when I sign in it says my drive is always at 100% please help

Every time I hit the “Apply at Windows startup” button MSI afterburner crashes and will not relaunch. I’ve tried unstalling and deleting the files, updating bios, chipset, and downloading AB from msi and guru 3d. And it always does it when I hit apply and windows startup up. I’ll run a benchmark and a stress test after I manually tune and it’s stable. But I can’t save my work!

I’m at my wits end and I can’t figure it out.

Just a little rant post to know if im the only one, blow some steam off if y'all having a bad time too.

I never ordered through MSI since a friend of mine recommended it and I got e-mail. It was for SPATIUM M461 PCIe 4.0. I dont know if the offer will be available.

I got the email saying I won the lotto for the 5090 Gaming Trio OC.

I immediately went to the link to purchase the card. I tried multiple times to buy it, but each time I hit the final button I either got a network error or it spun forever.

I see multiple $2500 pending charges on my credit card and my PayPal (I tried both payment methods) but no confirmation from MSI and no card in my MSI order history.

Now, when trying again a few hours layer, it says it's out of stock and I can't add it to my cart.

I contacted customer support and was told that license chat couldn't help me and the phone line is not working either.

Has anyone else had this happen?

EDIT: Reached out to MSI Spence on the MSI discord and he helped me out. I apparently just had to wait for a while for a payment system outage to clear. I tried again just now (a few hours after I got the email) and it worked.

I recently bought a Msi B550 gaming plus paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X. I had to update the bios as the factory version on the motherboard was not supporting my cpu so I updated it to a version that did and now my pc gets stuck on the boot status light and shows no display and I really don’t want to have to return and replace it. Anything I can do?

i have motherboard gigabyte b650m gaming x ax , ive got a used msi 5700xt gaming x gpu which the og owner turned the rgb off in bios, now i cannot turn them back on ! no apps find the card to control or turn them back on .. the only apps that do find the card is windows (hdmi and dp natively) and msi centre and amd adrenaline but they cannot turn the rgb back on ,,,,does anyone have a solutions? tried openrgb mystic light dragon centre ..im lost

I was casually looking at the inventory tracker for 5000 cards and decided to click on Newegg even though everything except eBay said it was Sold Out, and found an MSI 5080 Suprim bundled with a MEG 1000W PSU and bought it without issue.

I even had time to add a new credit card and didn’t get snagged by any bots.

im making this post because i recently got a B850 Tomahawk Max Wifi and Encountered an issue.

9800X3D + G.Skill Flare X5 schwarz DDR5-6000
Running a Desktop and Simrig Setup both in a different room than the PC.
One USB C Optical Fibre Cable for a 10gb Hub towards the Simrig and one 5gb Powered extension to the Desktop.

After Updating to Bios Version: 7E62v2A11
My system had massive Trouble even getting to BIOS.
With a Flash Drive in the System Booting was impossible. 2 Hub, impossible.
Asetek Wheelbase active (has another Hub) impossible.

Going back to BIOS: 7E62v2A1 removed all issues instantly.

Just in case anyone has issues beeing stuck in a Black Screen with a single Whiet Line rebooting, maybe this will help you.

Hey guys, I've built my pc almost a year ago with a MAG Z790 Tomahawak Max Wifi and it's been working well, only making minor improvements to aesthetic part of it recently, only recently I've come across this issue.

My fans are from Jungle Leopard and I tried using the Jungle Leopard fan RGB HUB (it's a white label) for my fans and, at first sight, it worked somewhat: RGB showed up but the controller wasn't changing it. After shutting it off and changing the cables (AIO fans were in sys_fan, while hub was in the pump header and pump was in cpu_fan) it didn't light up anymore, though the fans themselves were still working. I tried reverting the changes in the headers but it didn't turn on again. After that, I decided to remove the hub and input the fans directly on the headers (6 fans, 2 + 2 + 2 for each header w/ daisy chain) as it was before, however nothing worked

basically the RGB was gone from the fans (RAM stick and RGB Strip from the AIO work as long as I switch out of "sync to Motherboard" to "according to temperature of CPU" or using softwares like SignalRGB, however the fans don't show up either on Signal or on Mystic Light.

I did make sure that EZ Light was switched to on, I made sure all cables were connected v2 RGB headers and tried to use Mystic Light. I uninstalled all RGB-controlling softwares from the computer and the fans don't turn in at all, but my keyboard and RAM (Corsair), mouse (Logitech) and the LED strips do.

I also attempted to use the NZXT case fans, but same result: fans work but with no RGB.

I decided to ask for help directly with a Ticket on MSI, but after only a few exchanges (in which he asked me to update and uninstall MSI Mystic Light a few times), he told me to send it for warranty, however since I'm not a resident of the country where I bought it, I want to make sure I've exhausted all possibilities.

I tried switching off the EZ LED from BIOS, paired to switching Mystic Light off and then on, tried switching the fan modes on BIOS (DC / PWM)

Results of tests and software changes that are worth mentioning:

• On Mystic Light, only the motherboard icon shows up, no RAM, no anything
• Running MSI's update led firmware gives me a "Not Connect" v.00 (but never had the "firmware abnormal" other people usually mention)
• The support told me to jump the JT1, I did and all it did was temporarily stop the back fan (it didn't fully stop, and started spinning again after removed the screwdriver). afterwards, I got the error "Can not find script file Temp/JT1Toucher/JT'.vbs" on MSI Centre, which he implied was caused by using a jumper on JT1, which I didn't use...
• On SignalRGB software, everything works except for the fans, as the motherboard doesn't show up. everything else works perfectly fine there.
• Shortly after the RGB not turning on anymore, there was a windows update, probably before I tried sticking the fans into the headers directly, but I tried reverting the updates and even reinstalling windows, but
• I was silly enough to try the first time while VDG was on a PWM entry, it's how it worked at first

Since I had the genius idea of buying this out of my country, I've come across the issue of warranty only on national level, so I'm not looking into sending it to warranty any time soon, as I have no address to leave it at once they check and other than the lights, it works pretty fine.

TLDR: RGB doesn't turn on and I'm not sure what is causing it (but I'm pretty sure it's a software thing)

So updated Windows 11 last night (not for the first time) and this morning the PC took a long time to boot up, thought it was just finishing the update but then just going and watching a YT video I can't watch at more than 480p and even then the monitor is chugging along. I thought it was internet, speed test shows almost 1 GB/s down. Thought it was just in need of a reboot so shut everything off, walked away, and came back to the same issue after startup. The kicker is if I load a video on one of my other monitors the videos load just fine and can keep up no issues at 1080p, but the second I put them over on my main monitor they stop loading and I catch up to the loading bar and I'm back to 480p.

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue or not~

Buenas! recientemente actualice mi pc a un ryzen 5 8500g, el problema es que cuando quiero asignarle mas vram a la iGPU empieza a tirar pantallazos azules o se reinicia después de abrir cualquier juego, intente de todo, me di cuenta que la pc prende tanto el led del CPU como de la ram al encenderla, saque 2 veces el procesador, cambie 3 veces la memoria ram (Crucial a 5600mhz) de sus slots, limpie los contactos de la memoria ram y nada el problema persiste, mi ultima opción es actualizar la BIOS de mi placa madre (msi PRO a620-e), pero pierdo la garantía del producto, si alguien tuvo el mismo problema y logro solucionarlo seria de gran ayuda. I always shut down my PC, but sometimes I'm away for a bit and I'd like to keep all the RGB on, even when the monitors turn off.

I checked the bios mainboard settings but couldn't find an option to do that. I only found one thread talking about x870e to turn them off, but I'd like to keep them on unless I shut down completely.

Also I've set the PC to never go standby only the monitors to turn off.

The RTX 2080 MSI GAMING X TRIO has long been known to suffer from a significant thermal paste issue, though the information never gained widespread attention online. Thanks to its massive heatsink—the largest among 20 Series GPUs—many users never noticed excessively high temperatures.

I recently repasted and repadded mine using ARCTIC MX6 thermal paste and TP-3 thermal pads, and the results were astonishing: over a 10°C drop under full load! 🤯 For those unfamiliar, that’s an incredibly significant improvement from a simple repaste.

I highly recommend repadding as well, as the VRAM is barely covered—less than 50% of its width in some areas. This issue likely affects many MSI GPUs, not just this particular model.

To clarify, my card was barely used, so thermal aging wasn’t a factor in these poor thermals.

If you own an MSI card, consider checking yours—it could make a world of difference.

Hey everyone this monitor says its 250 hz but atm its only on 240 how do i overclock it to 250hz?

For anyone that entered the lottery draw for the MSI website to purchase a 5090 card, have you received an email to purchase a card yet?

There is a strange situation at the moment. I dont know if this was intentional from MSI or not. For some reason Suprim using less power has lower gpu clocks than Vanguard and so many more other brand models.

I bought Suprim SOC and using it in Gaming Mode bios (performance one) and its gpu clock speeds hover around 2800-2820. In reviews Vanguard and almost all models are 2850-2900 bracket. Cooling performance of this card is exceeded my imagination, i can not believe there is no sound coming from Suprim while playing. Never had this before, my previos card rtx 3080 for example it was like Jet motor while gaming. Temperatures reach maximum 55C , fans reach maximum 1300 rpm atm on the games, and 3d mark timespy on my system. While having this cooling, not having performance at the same time it feels strange, with this cooling this card could boost more by default.

Can this be a VBios mistake by MSI ? Because Suprim also uses less power than any model including FE. I am writing this for a hope that any MSI representative can see this and investigate the issue further. And if it is not intentional may be they release VBios update.

nightmare cause they stop you controlling the fans, so mine is now stuck on game mode gahhhh

I‘ve been having this problem for some weeks now but I can’t find anything online…

I do get Riva to display the 1% FPS but the value doesn’t make any sense. In some games I get a constant 1 or something else but most of the time it just says 0… which simply can’t be right…

Any ideas?
