Have tried with multiple cables, which work fine otherwise, but I can't get my monitor to output a charge to phone, mouse, keyboard etc.
There doesn't seem to be any setting in the OSD Menu, anybody else know what I'm doing wrong?
MSI Motherboard Rma
I recently built a pc. It has only been 2 months , 3 days ago I used my pc at around 6 pm it was totally fine with no issues, I shut it down and studied for 2 hours, at around 8 pm I tried turning on my pc but it won't start at all, no lights, no sound, no fans, nothing at all. At first I thought my psu was broken, but it's only been 2 months since I built this pc and had no issues so far. I got my pc checked by an expert, he tried another psu but my pc still didn't start. After some other trouble shooting he said it's the Mobo which is at fault. I contacted msi customer service and after troubleshooting discussion with them they said it's the motherboard and told me to bring it to msi service centre. I will bring it to service centre tomorrow. Now after reading several reddit stories of their horrible msi service experience I'm afraid my Mobo won't be fixed and if it's not fixed can I expect a replacement? I guess not. I'm worried as I can't afford any other Mobo now as I have no savings left. Basically I'm cooked, just venting my frustrations here.
Mobo: MSI Pro B760 M-A WIFI DDR5
I'll post any updates bad or good, please bear with my bad English as English is not my first language.
Update: I took the Mobo to a service centre they were making hastle so I took it to another MSI authorised service centre there they took it for RMA. Hope they repair it.
Update 2 : They emailed me that the JUSB5 Port is damaged and will not be considered under warranty, as I mentioned earlier that I didnot see any physical damage in the motherboard and I told them the same, they said it's the policy. Then I replied to them that ok atleast send me the repairing cost details I'll pay for the repairing they said it's not repairable. I mean wtf it's totally new mobo with no other damge or, any cracks, scratches, or any burn marks that proves I damaged it. I don't know what to do PLEASE SOME TELL ME WHAT TO DO IN THIS SITUATION. I'm fu*ked, it's in warranty atleast they should repair it. Please give me advice what to do as I'm lost. AND NEVER BUY ANY MSI PRODUCT, THE SERVICE IS TOO BAD.
Hi all!
I'm currently using a X570-A PROX570-A PRO motherboard (AM4) and the CPU is cooled by a CoolerMaster 212 EVO. That cooler came with its own backplate.
I'm now in a situation where I'm changing the cpu from 3700x to 5700x3D and I would like to change the cooler to something more efficient and quiet (Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE seems like a good idea at the moment), but for this I would need the original backplate, which I have lost.
Regarding this, a possibly stupid question: are backplates specific to certain motherboard models or will just any AM4 backplate do? For example https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Ryaupy-AM4-Backplate-CPU-Cooler/dp/B0CSSK8BBB/ref=sr_1_4_mod_primary_new?crid=2RYY9MCTTTWY4
Thanks!
The display mount on the monitor is recessed. My monitor arm has screw holes for both 75x75 and 100x100 but obviously the mount on the arm doesn't fit into the recessed 75x75 hole on the screen. What am I missing? Some pictures of the mount: https://imgur.com/a/9BM4Uui Appreciate any hints.
Are there any safe-to-use screen protectors for MSI OLED monitors?
I own two cats, and I'm scared they might scratch the screen when I leave the monitor unattended.
I found this screen protector on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Privacy-Protector-compatible-Protectors-Tempered/dp/B0CY5NGBHT
Are these kind of screen protectors safe to use for my monitor?
Hey all! I'm making my 1st pc build and I believe l'm all done but it will not connect to wifi nor bluetooth :(, I updated the bios to the new version and watched so many turorials but maybe im just not getting it. I was wondering if any of you guys on here could help me ) (it's a MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK AM5)
I had my desktop rebuilt with the MPG x870e and 9800x3D and I'm trying to figure out why after using the computer for some time, my Wi-Fi speeds drop dramatically for no apparent reason. Only after restarting my computer do the speeds go back to normal. It happens both during web browsing and gaming but it happens at least once every time I use my computer (so 1-2x in a 4-6 hour period). See images for the speeds (first is normal speed and second is the nerfed speed. Here are my full specs if that is important:
Motherboard: MSI MPG x870e Carbon WiFi
CPU: 9800x3D
GPU: RTX 3070ti
RAM: 64GB DDR5
Storage; 4TB NVME SSD
Is the only way to connect to the Internet with this Mobo via Ethernet? I cannot for the life of me figure out if it's the case or not based on research.
Hey guys! Looking for some help. Recently purchased a MSI Aegis ZS2 Gaming Desktop and I noticed that the GPU and MEMORY are randomly spiking. Is this normal? I will attach a clip. The Nvidia driver is updated and I’m not quite sure if this is normal or not. Any help appreciate
Any idea when it will be back to buy?
So upon enabling axmp and placing. the ddr at 5000 (6400) is max. The system is taking longer to boot and system pump is maxed out. After a 2-4 mins it boots normally. Is this normal or a problem? My old msi board xmp never did this. The set is corsair vengeance
So my friend got this PC from his coworker, and I wanted to upgrade some parts on it. I don’t have the PC on me at the moment but I wanted to see if I can figure out what’s inside. He can’t login cuz our dumb coworker forgot the password😂 But hoping to be able to figure out if this is a pre-built to see if I should upgrade any of his parts when I reset it and stuff for him. Can’t tell if the razer is a sticker or a collab. I do see the MSI logo on the motherboard
I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else but I'm trying to buy a B650 S motherboard and my card keeps getting declined at checkout even though I definitely have enough and my cards not getting declined on any other purchases. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!
Msi b650 gaming wifi I heard this mobo have some issues ,is it real ,? Should i buy it or suggest me a alternative if its a bad board,
Recently got this oled and installed it but can’t understand how to raise and lower the screen itself. My other monitors I’ve used in the past just move when pushed down, but this won’t budge and there doesn’t seem to be any switch or button or anything else
I recently noticed audio cracks/pops whatever you wanna call it when I was in the League lobby and the music started to pop every 30 seconds or so. I then started noticing it in some other places such as discord. The only thing that has changed in my pc since this started was I swapped my ssd to a 2tb from a 1tb and installed windows and all my stuff on it.
What I have tried
- Disable EXPO
- Unplug pc from power
- reinstalled gpu drivers
- installed realtek audio drivers over the default windows ones
- tried with wired headphones instead of wireless
- used front io as well as mobo connection
I also ran Latencymon and it had mentioned that my pc has trouble handling audio and all that, a few times the "highest measured interrupt latency was at 6k, and the times it wasnt that high the highest reported dpc latency was from the directx driver.
idfk what to do at this point
specs - msi b650m mortar motherboard / 4060 rtx / 7800x3d / 32gb ram / 2tb ssd / corsair 850w rme psu
I recently bought the ryzen 7 5700x3d to upgrade my current ryzen 7 3700x. I have a rtx 2060, b450 tomahawk max, rm650 psu, and 16gb ddr4 ram 3200mhz.
When I first intially installed the new cpu, everything worked fine. Booted into the pc, ran stress tests and games, and the BIOS and pc recognized the new 5700x3d.
I then restarted my PC, and ever since then, I have been stuck in a boot loop with this new CPU. I tried everything to fix it. Reseating pc parts, 1 am stick, updating bios, etc.
I then decided to put my old CPU in hopes that the issue was the CPU. After putting my old cpu in, everything worked as normal. Booted into PC.
I then clean installed windows 11 again just incase it was a windows issue. I reset CMOS too. I then put my new 5700x3d in to see if the issue still happens with all these fixes I did, and nothing worked. It still boot loops.
This boot loop makes it so that I can only enter BIOS with the new CPU in (BIOS does recognize the new CPU). However, once it tries booting into anything such as windows on my ssd or windows on a usb with the creation tool, it just restarts, making an endless cycle of restarting.
I have put the cpu in 3 times with various troubleshooting techniques, and each time the issue is still there. I have a strong feeling it is a faulty CPU.
What do you guys think?
Hello, today I purchased a new MSI 275cqpf monitor from costco. I am runnin a dual monitor setup with a Asus mg248qr. Whenever I try to switch RR in display settings it shows the option for 180 Hz but when I click it, screen flickers, and says its on 60Hz and if I want to keep changes or revert. Both monitors are plugged into display port of my GPU. Something I also figured out was if I unplug my Asus monitor I can use the 180Hz AND HDR. But since I cant use my other monitor it isnt really a problem solved. Another similar thing I found out if I turn on eyefinity on AMD adrenaline and disable it after its on, I can use 144hz on my Asus monitor and 180Hz on my new msi monitor, but HDR doesn't work. I also have to do the eyefinity process everytime I boot my computer. Any help would be appreciated!

Will a MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI support a Ryzen 9 7950x?
Hello i builded my new rig msi b550 gaming plus motherboard ryzen 5600x 64gb ram 3080ti thermalright aqua 360mm aio everything was working perfect for two weeks until I updated my bios to latest version and now at startup my fans go crazy full speed or sometimes cou overheat error even cpu is at 24 degrees until I restart my pc and everything back to normal I checked everything temperatures checked air flow checked voltage checked pump everything work fine as it should be so where can be the problem?
My friend recently rebuilt his PC. He installed a MSI B550M-A Pro motherboard with a his existing Ryzen 3500 and Corsair 16gb x2 RAM. He is also using a Asus Strix 960 GPU. The issue is system posts and he can enter BIOS. But on reboot there is no display and motherboard VGA Debug LED is lit up. So we reset BIOS and tried to boot system without entering BIOS. Yet again post screen showed up and vanished but no display and VGA debug LED is lit. We tried everything. We can only enter BIOS that too after a BIOS reset, but then no display when we try to go any further. And after that no display until a BIOS reset. Please advise.
Hi, I'm looking at getting a monitor for my ps5 I've found 2 but I'm unsure which would be better? The MAG 32CQ6F or the MAG 32C6X
Anyone able to suggest which is best?
I can't tell if I misplaced them or if the monitor is just missing screws, I have some spares lying sround but they don't hold the stand in placr when I try to screw it in I'm losing my mind trying to get this to work. Is this normal fot this monitor?
I recently got an MSI Aegis Tower and started it. But for some reason the MSI Dragon Center doesn't have the option to turn on Cooler Boost.
UPDATE: It seems as though this issue is primarily with XFX branded GPUs, as is evident from other similar postings. If yours doesnt work, I recommend trying with bios version 7d75v1b.
Let me first start this post by saying that until this point, the only issues I had with MSI was their windows software. I was relatively loyal to them and bought most of my peripherals and previous GPUs from them.
After the experience I just had, I will never purchase from them again.
Last night, I was going to upgrade my GPU from a 1660 super to an RX7700XT. Being dumb, i at some point forced something too much while it was misaligned and broke the GPU retention clip on the main PCIE slot.
Thinking I had done damage to the slot, I was unsurprised when the new GPU would only work in PCIE slot 2, and promptly purchased a replacement mobo of the same exact model.
After going through the somewhat painstaking process of fully replacing the motherboard, I got to the moment of truth. Once again, the PC would not display anything, not even the bios, while in slot one. I then realized just how big of a dummy I was, as I had likely just done a full motherboard swap for no reason but a broken plastic clip.
After hours upon hours of troubleshooting, checking all connections, even calling MSI support, there was no solution in sight. I eventually came to the conclusion that the issue had to be firmware related, and I was correct.
It was at this point that I tried some different bios versions that were recommended to people with the same board for other issues. In fact, to finally get the sucker to work at all I had to downgrade the bios back to rev. v1b from November of 2023.
This means that as of right now, MSI is selling motherboards brand new with a firmware revision that has compatibility issues with at least one consumer GPU that has been out for well over a year, and their technical support team has no clue whatsoever.
Seeing as how these boards arent cheap, MSI, maybe you guys need to actually test your BIOS builds for compatability issues.
As soon as the monitor arrived, I installed it and did a dead pixel test. There were no problems. A few hours later, while playing a game, I accidentally spit on the screen a little. I cleaned it, but a dot smaller than a pixel appeared on the screen. This dot can appear blue, red, and green depending on the angle I look at it. It is only visible on black and blue backgrounds, but it disappears and is not visible on other colors. When I look at the spot where the dot is, especially on a white background, the dot is not visible and all pixels work properly. I tried cleaning it with a dryer, but it did not go away. It's been 2 weeks.
