I was just gifted a MSI G32C4XS 250Hz monitor and am trying to make sure I set it up correctly to take full advantage of its features. I am using it with a Legion Slim 5 with Gen 9 AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and RTX 4070 with 240Hz display. What do you guys recommend I change within Windows 11 settings/steam/in-game/etc? This is first time I have used an external monitor like this so any tips would be appreciated!
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with the RGB lights on my MSI MPG27CQ monitor. Previously, I could control the RGB through SteelSeries GG and Mystic Light without any problems, but after reinstalling Windows 11, updating bios of my b550f gaming (wifi) and replacing my Ryzen 7 3700x to 5800x3d, the LEDs started malfunctioning.
Here’s what’s happening:
I’ve already tried updating and reinstalling both programs, running them as administrator, and checking for monitor drivers, but the issue persists. Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a solution? Any advice is appreciated!
Since building my new PC around July, I’ve had pretty consistent WiFi connection issues, but things have gotten significantly worse lately to the point where my PC cannot connect to my WiFi router and bricks the rest of my devices if connected via Ethernet.
For reference, every other device I own can connect to my Optimum WiFi, but my PC is not able to. I’m using a MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi with an AMD chipset. I have an optimum gateway 6 that is one floor downstairs from my PC, and I have an extender placed 6 feet from the PC.
I’ve tried a lot of troubleshooting tips I found online but so far nothing has worked. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks.
I've noticed over the years that my MSI monitors life span's have been getting lower and lower with my latest desth being only weeks outside of the warranty period. This will have been my 4th MSI monitor that has died within a 6 year period. At this point I'm resistant to even look at another MSI product and I will certainly never look at another MSI monitor again for my household.
My question to everyone is are you finding that the lifespan of your MSI devices and hardware to be shrinking at alarming rates?
hey guys, my cpu red light and dram yellow light are on in this new build. completely stripped except psu and cpu and one stick of ram, have rotated it between all slots as well. flashing bios to the latest version does nothing, it goes through the sequence and reboots then the mobo lights stay on. cpu pins are all good have re placed it in a few times already. 24, 8, and 4 pin necessary connectors are all properly set. any ideas? think my mobo might be bad. thanks
Looking at buying the MPG Infinite X2 with the 14700kf and a 4080 but it only has one front fan a 240mm aio and one back fan is this really enough for they system not to throttle? Thanks please ignore price I won't be paying that much and the system I'm looking at is with the 4080
The MSI MAG 274QRF-QD E2 is a fantastic choice for both gaming and productivity. With its 27-inch QHD (2560x1440) resolution and Rapid IPS panel, the visual clarity is top-notch, delivering vibrant and true-to-life colors. The monitor's Quantum Dot technology enhances color accuracy, making it perfect for gamers and content creators alike who need stunning visuals.
A standout feature is its 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms GTG response time, which ensures buttery-smooth gameplay, even in fast-paced action games. For competitive gaming, the G-Sync compatibility eliminates screen tearing, providing a seamless experience.
Connectivity is versatile, with multiple ports (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB Type-C) that make it easy to switch between gaming and other tasks. The monitor's ergonomic stand allows for height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, making it comfortable for extended sessions.
While the monitor's performance is top-tier, the design is equally impressive with a clean and sleek aesthetic that fits any setup.
Pros:
Vibrant colors with Quantum Dot technology
Fast 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time
G-Sync compatible for smooth gaming
Excellent build quality and adjustable stand
Cons:
There is no built-in speakers, so external speakers or headphones is needed for audio output
overall, the MSI MAG 274QRF-QD E2 is a stellar choice for anyone looking for a high-performance monitor that balances visuals and gaming performance exceptionally well.
Is coil whine harmless not matter how loud it is? Noticed that my 4080s Ventus x3 has some pretty loud coil whine when im getting a high frame rate. Im not so worried about the sound as im not gaming with my ear to the GPU but wanted to make sure its a harmless thing to have
I had a 3070ti gaming x trio before which had coil whine but it was not as loud.
This may sound stupid but I need help. I have a mux switch on my laptop so it’s already switched to my gpu rtx 3050. Will having a gaming monitor affect my fps in anyway? Or will it be the same? Currently getting 110-130 fps on cod
So why is it stuck on perma "wait download" and NEVER downloads anything at all? everywhere i go people are having this problem tried from msstore tried from official msi website wtf is going on? how do i make this app work ? It's so confusing having an app that DOESNT work properly for years and yet no fix ..
Also tried the CleanCenter thing and didnt do shit. tried multiple times reinstalling after cleanCenter
Hi, I want to BIOS update for MSI B450 Gaming PRO Carbon to 7B85v1H4(Beta version).
Has anybody updated to this BIOS version? Is it working properly?
Any tips to remember?
What does this mean?
Just picked up a 9800x3D and the MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI. If I install 2x 32gb sticks of DDR5 6000 RAM, will I not be getting 6000MT/s?
Here's what the compatibility table says for the RAM I've selected:
Vendor | Model | DDR | SPD Speed (MHz) | Supported Speed (MHz) | Chipset | Voltage | Sided | Size (GB) | 1/2/4 DIMM |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
G.SKILL | F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR | DDR5 | 4800 | 6000 | SK hynix | 1.4 | DUAL | 32 | √/√/ |
Just wondering if any of you guys have tried the msi bios that claims to have optimized for the new amd processor.
Cuz updating bios is a pain.
I recently did a full factory reset on my gf75 thin 10scxr (cleaned drives and everything) and now it seems to not want to function no matter what I do. Ive tried fully updating the drivers, switching things in nvidia control panel, screwing with game settings etc etc. Discord, Google (Youtube and browsing,) and Spotify seem to all be fine but games refuse to go above like 10 fps no matter the settings I change. Just wondering if anybody has experienced this before and has a possible solution to my problem. Thanks in advance.

Turned on my pc today just to get a black screen on my monitor, check the ez debug lights, first I see the cpu light, then the gpu light, and then the boot light, then all of them turn off and my gpu's fans stop spinning so it probably turned off too.
So far I've tried clearing CMOS and reseating gpu, what else should I try/ how could I fix this?
Hello everyone, I just made my new pc using the MSI B650M-A Wifi with a Ryzen 5 7600 CPU and a 6000 MHz DDR 5 kit.
Currently, I'm having issues with activating XMP as whenever I do it, I get a red CPU light on the motherboard and it doesn't boot. Everytime it happens, I just reset the bios by removing the CMOS battery and it boots perfectly fine.
Not too sure what is going on, could anyone help please?
Nothing else is working not even the lights on the back is there a way to fix this? btw i connect the monitor to a laptop not a pc
Was just playing a game and my monitor suddenly loses signal but PC is still running. Tried a reset and still no signal and also nothing on my other monitor. Tried switching between all ports DPs and HDMIs, same issue.
Pulled PC out to check out the internals and gpu lights and fans are working but the mobo has a red light against the VGA node.
Some googling has suggested mostly likely a gpu issue but others have also mentioned bios issues. I find the latter hard to understand given it's been working completely fine for years. But I'd like to ask does the VGA light mean it must be an issue with the gpu or could it be many other reasons?
My next step is to try reseating everything, then cmos reset, bios update. Not sure how I'm supposed to do the last one without a signal to a monitor! Especially as resetting the cmos will surely send my bios version back to a 5800x3d incompatible version and therefore rendering my cpu inoperable?
Unfortunately I don't have another PC to test the gpu so I'm just a bit worried if reseating doesn't work, what my next steps will be.
SIDE NOTE: When it first happened, I noticed the rgb in my keyboard and mouse had turned off. Which isn't normal when the PC is on. When I restarted the first time, the lights were back on again. Not sure if this is relevant but thought I'd mention.

Blown away with this monitor it's the Mpg 341cqpx qd-oled and one of the best additions to my gaming rig. What's your opinions?
B550M Mortar board.
Recently upgraded to 2 fans 4070 super and found out that GPU temps highly depend on my case fans speed. The bios fans window has a setting where you can setup your curve to react on PCIE temperature, but i quickly discoverd that it doesnt work.
My question is - does latest bioses fixed this problem? Im running a year 2023 bios and dont really want to mess with flashing, setting my ram timings again etc... + i heard that latest bioses has permanent CPU microcode security patches which affect performance.
Some people might suggest to set a curve accordingly to CPU temperature but in my case the difference between CPU and GPU temperature is 34c as im running heavy undervolt on CPU.
It used to run fine. But in the past few weeks the ram is always like 70 percent used anyone know why? I use chrome but only have a few taps open at a time.
hi lads, recently I've found that games running easy anti cheat are crashing when launched on arrow lake. from what i can find it seems to be an issue with my bios, but msi have yet to put out a fix to correct this problem. they only have 2 listed for my motherboard found here (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z890-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI/support#bios) and i have the newest stable one installed. so getting back to the start, would my warranty end if i updated to a beta bios
Hi, after my upgrade to 3700x3d. on my mobo the cpu debug led is turning on. i even try the latest bios 7B85v1H4(Beta version) and it still doesnt work. ive seen online poeple pairing 3700x3d with my b450 mobo and they work. how can i fix this problem?
^ Upgraded my CPU from 10700k to 11900k, system does not Boot and dram stays on white.
Tried all the standard troubleshooting steps and then some. ans ideas?
edit: i have a MPG z490 gaming carbon wifi
Hi all! I recently built a PC for a friend (my first build) and I'm having trouble getting it to POST. I've double checked all connections and reseated GPU and RAM. Upon hitting the power button, the CPU light and DRAM lights turn on (red and yellow respectively) as well as case lights/ fans. After reseating the RAM, I did manage to get into the BIOS, but it went back to refusing to POST after shutdown. At one point it had a white VGA light on in the debug, but went back to CPU and DRAM lights after reboot. I am aware that "memory training" is a thing on AM5; I waited ~10 minutes before shutting down before calling it a failed boot. Parts list: RYZEN 7 7700X MSI B650-S WIFI G.SKILL DDR5 6000MHz 32Gb (16x2) RADEON 7600XT Corsair 750W 80+ Gold RMe From memory, don't have it in front of me rn The only thing I didn't reseat/check was the CPU. My limited knowledge wants to say that because the PC did POST once, that shouldn't be the problem. I'm also afraid of touching it again lol, but what do I know. I'm a novice. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'll be going over to her place to keep tinkering with it later tonight.
