Cossa is putting up some great numbers already in Grand Rapids. .94 save percentage and <2GAA. Detroit is a little shakey these days, and I'm not sure it's the best place for a goalie. But we sure do need one, and Cossa is looking very attractive right now. How long until we see in Detroit?
Before the season I would have said we might see him in March. Now, with Husso essentially gone, I'm wondering if he's not up in Detroit for a game or two before Christmas.
So I heard Ken mention a book by him on the broadcast I think? Does anyone know what that is, when it's coming out, etc? I also kind of want to check out Helene's book lol. I find her questions silly but I appreciate writing and would love some behind the scenes stories about the team. Plus it would make a good Christmas wish list item for my family's gift exchange.
It’s my first game, I was just wondering if we will get the Jersey before the concert or after the concert?! I am so excited & just want to know how it works & what they want us to & where to be at what time. Lol
With the Lions going with Black jerseys this year as an alternate it would be awesome if the Red Wings followed suit for the stadium series! Something along the lines of this pro player jersey from the 90’s would look Amazing. I know it’s unlikely for us to deviate from tradition but one can dream!

Little late but this was the pumpkin this year! LGRW!
Thanks!
Happy Halloween! LGRW!
Hey everyone, got two tickets a few weeks back for the Sabres but unfortunately will be attending a funeral. Was hoping to get $25-35each. 🙏🏻thanks
Having seen a lot of comments around Detroit’s first 10 games of the season, I thought it might be best to have a discussion around the reality of what we’ve seen. The good, bad, meh, hopeful, etc.
The Good:
The Meh:
The Bad:
Sorry for the book. To those that read all of these points, anything you disagree with? Anything that you think needs to be added? Hoping this provides good snapshot of where Detroit is currently and how us fans perceive what we watch on the ice.
We as fans pay a lot of money to watch what transpires on the ice. Most of us don’t have any experience in the professional hockey space. But, overall fan approval and satisfaction is often what can force the hands of executives running these organizations. If changes need to happen, why not try and discuss it here.
I am told that there's some sort of "Yzerplan" in existence. That we will be playing a defense-first brand of hockey and hard to play against. This will take us back into the playoffs. The coach seem to promote this idea. Then why are we sending away good defensemen that go on to have a great time elsewhere instead of keeping them? (Walman, Hronek, Ghost). And the ones we keep often seem confused and as the game goes on they become less and less interested in checking and hitting etc. It makes no sense to me.
I was also made aware that we're going to score more goals than usual. We signed both young and old, very talented and proved people in this category including Kane, Debrincat, Raymond. But during games we're not even shooting the puck. How are the team meant to score more goals by shooting the puck less? It makes no sense to me.
So I ask (am being honest here) what's the plan? Is there one?
Wow they have to be the 2 worse players in the NHL. Incredible garbage. Steve had a horrible off season. Let's ghost walk and gives his best skater the ax in walman who he just signed. Wtf
He seems likable when he's down by the benches and he talks to the players occasionally but are they just doing that because they have to or do they genuinely like him.

So far in our first 10 games of the season we have recorded a total on 240 total shots on goal, while our opponents have recorded a total of 341 shots on goal. Out of those 10 games, we have only out shot our opponents 2 times. (In our 2 games that we did somehow manage to outshoot our opponents, we lost in regular time in both of those games.)
This also means we are getting outshot by about 10 SOG per game.
Obviously SOG don't determine everything, but it is a good baseline stat overall and just by the eye test we are really struggling on both offense and on defense.
Getting out shot this badly is just awful, our wins we HAVE had aren't sustainable and we are lucky to even have this record right now. I'm not sure what we can do.
Octomod was too sad to make the thread. =/
Wanted to check the current temperature of the sub and get everyone’s opinion on who should be behind the Red Wings bench.
For those who selected “Lalonde / Watson” or “Other” feel free to weigh in more specifically on which coach you’re voting for and explain why.
Disclaimer: The poll isn’t ranked. I went by alphabetical order and could only create up to six options, so I hope no one takes offense if I omitted a “popular” name.
Years ago, around 2009/2010, I went to a Red Wings meet and greet and had all the players there sign this stick. I’ve been able to identify each of the autographs except this one. Could use some help, thanks!
