Welcome to /r/Cyberfeminisms, where intersectionality meets free culture and free software! We're here because technology should empower everyone regardless of gender identity, sexual preferences, race, physical ability, class, etc. and free software/culture make that a reality.
We're here promoting bodily autonomy, sexual freedom, radical consent, queer liberation, body positivity, and the destruction of patriarchy.
Sister Subreddits:
The free culture movement promotes free software and formats, and other free media as forms of resistance against the privatization of technology, media, and ideas.
We recognize that the types of speech that dominate our space and the composition of people who occupy here are reflective of our values; there are no cooincidences. Therefore, it is our responsibility to create a safer space for marginalized identities including people with disabilities, people of color, LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, transgender/transsexual, queer, intersex, and asexual) people, women, and class oppressed people.
We have no tolerance for oppressive attitudes, and expect accountability for any oppressive behavior. That is, any language or action that upholds ableism, white supremacy or peripheral racism, cissexism, heterosexism, misogyny, and/or classism. This includes slut shaming, victim blaming, body policing, etc. All members are encouraged to hold themselves and each other to our these community norms and to report any offenders to the group admins.

Hey there writers and poets of /r/Cyberfeminism,
I'm from a writers' resource website called Winning Writers. Part of our mission is to find and promote voices and themes underrepresented in publishing, including (but of course not limited to) racial, cultural, national, religious, gender/sexual identity, body positive, neurodiverse, and [dis]abled. We are interested primarily in the representation of the voices/themes in the poetry, rather than the identity of the writer. At this time of year we're offering two contests:
The Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction and Essay Contest, with two first prizes of $2000 each, ten honorable mentions receiving $100 each, and the top twelve entries published online. The contest is international. The deadline is April 30.
The Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest, with a first prize of $1000, a second prize of $250, and ten honorable mentions of $100 each. The top twelve entries will be published online. The contest is international and the deadline is April 1.
Since I started doing outreach on Reddit last year we've received hundreds more entries featuring diverse characters and voices. We're working hard to increase the diversity of our entry pool and give good writers the exposure they deserve. I know /r/Cyberfeminism isn't technically a "writers' subreddit," but in the past some of our strongest entries have come from subs like this one, which ostensibly have nothing to do with writing. So, if you are a writer, please consider entering our contests. And if you know any writers, please consider passing this information on to them. Thanks for reading, and all the best.

The Echo Chamber Club celebrated a year and marked the Women's March in January as a watershed moment in Echo Chamber thought. Namely because of the whole ordeal with New Wave Feminism. Definitely worth a read and probably a subscription.
Hello there,
I am MorganC1, the Education, Science and Culture Spokesperson of the /r/MHoC Pirate Party. /r/MHoC is a Reddit political simulation game which emulates UK Parliament, and we are currently holding our fourth General Election.
We are a Party dedicated primarily to digital rights as well as personal liberty and freedom. One of the primary principles we stand for as a party is Net Neutrality. Because of this, I am here today to ask for your vote. The fight for Net Neutrality needs a strong voice in our parliament. Changes such as universally free internet can be achieved, but we need like minded people to support us.
I am standing in the South & East Yorkshire Constituency, however you should consider voting for our other candidates, some of which are situated in :-
##And visit /r/MHoC to vote in the General Election! Thanks,
The /r/MHoC Pirate Party

TIL that Google is banning public explicit photos and videos from its blogging service Blogger, and giving affected users just one month to comply. For sex positive communities that have made Blogger their home, this can put a halt on their efforts to provide a supportive online network.
I am writing a blog post about this freedom of expression and online community issue. I would love to get your thoughts on what this means for sex positive online networks and its community, especially if you are a sex blogger or small business/organization that advocates for sexual expression and freedom. Please PM me if you would like to talk, or submit your thoughts through this form
