Hi, I asked about The Blacklist the other day and the mods took it down saying it wasn't the right sub. Let me try to explain. I'm looking for TV series or miniseries that are psychological thrillers. I don't care about the setting, as long as they have suspense. As a guide, I'm a big fan of 90s thrillers, so I'd like one that has that feel, but even if it's not strictly a 90s thriller, it's welcome. Thanks!
Just started watching one of my favorite shows again. It's very well known but I'd still love to hear other people's views on it that are interested. I'm looking forward to its last season next year.
Fast paced, action/adventure, violence, love and/or sex. Great characters. A sci-fi or fantastical element of some kind, from subtle to full blown. I don't mind cheesiness/camp. I'm pretty open minded with how far you wanna stretch these suggestions.
Completed or non canceled (ongoing) shows only please
I'm looking for TV shows (or movies) that deal with the rise of, or early years of, fascist or authoritarian governments. Things like The Plot Against America, Man in the High Castle, and Handmaids Tale. Or shows that deal with the resistance to and downfall of fascist governments. Thanks!
does anyone know any free sites that have a dubbed version of (The Rain)?
Similar to:
The Alienist
Ripper Street
Murdoch Mysteries
The Knick
Boardwalk Empire
Peaky Blinders
Sherlock series (Ive seen all renditions)
there are a few shows with some supernatural elements out there but im not too big on that (unless there's time-travel involved somewhere) but Taboo & Penny Dreadful just didnt quite hit the spot for me sadly.
Hi!! looking for a modern positive, uplifting TV series that is extremely binge worthy and fun, thinking like Lost in space vibe, Not necessarily sci fi, but fun adventurous positive. Sick of Walking dead, GOT, BCS, Narcos,BB type stuff. real life, not cartoon or anime. Also, while I enjoy A good joke. I'm not into comedy series either. Just a good adventure/story
I'm drawn towards shows with smart, funny dialogue that still has some emotional gravitas, and tackles tough issues in a smart way. Previous shows I've loved that would fit this include Star Trek: The Next Generation, West Wing, and Newsroom. Ideally hourish long episodes, but doesnt have to be
Can anyone recommend shows with unreliable narrators and/or varying perspectives on the same scene?
For example, The Affair - where you’re shown the exact same event from different characters’ perspectives, and what’s actually happened may be seen completely differently by different characters (ie. actually acted differently, not just a different angle).
Thanks!
Hi! I have been looking for a new tv-show for a while but haven’t succeeded yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve enjoyed:
I know that these series are very generic, but I just find them really comforting. I like long series if you couldn’t tell haha! A Tv-Show with a long fun plot with a bit of romance would be ideal, probably. But I am not against watching new stuff :) Thanks!
Looking for a very particular type of vibe here. I’m struggling with staying interested in a show, so I’m looking for something that is really engaging, whether that means exciting, fast-paced, etc. But I’m also dealing with some mental health struggles right now, which means I don’t really want anything too dark or heavy. Whenever I look for gripping or exciting shows, there’s always a lot of dark stuff recommended. Does anyone have any suggestions that falls in the overlap of these categories? Something fun and easy, but gets you really into it?
Some examples might be Supernatural, Bones, Wednesday, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Only Murders In The Building, Bridgerton
It can be anything from enemies to lovers, slow burn, friends to lovers, anything. Some shows I really like recently are the summer I turned pretty, normal people, my life with the Walter boys, one day. It doesn’t even have to be the main focus of the show. I like shows with extremely likable characters I can get attached to. I’ve seen Ginny and Georgia, I can’t really get into heartstopper, I know people say fleabag but I don’t know if I’ll like it. I prefer it to be in English, typically I don’t care but I’m dealing with some stuff right now that makes it extremely hard for me to follow along with anything that isn’t English. I tried maxton hall but can’t get into it because it’s in German. I prefer newer shows I’ve also seen Bridgerton and my lady Jane
For anyone that has read the books by Anne Rice. Is there any shows that have evoked a similar feeling in you? Those books are amazing and the show(at least to the episode I got to) just didn't do it for me.
What are the best Apple shows worth watching. Preferably not comedy. Silo and Severance were great and Dark Matter was okay. Those are 100% my kind of shows
I really loved everything 3.5 and up. Some ranked 3 and lower had really great first seasons or episodes, then just went downhill.
Hey Everyone, I just finished watching a comedy sitcom called the Ms. Pat Show and season 5 isn’t out yet, I wanted to know if anyone here knows any show similar to it that I can get into, please and thank you🙏🏾
Please recommend any similar type of shows that are interesting to watch so far I have watched
I started watching Better Call Saul but it seems to be really boring and slow watched till 3rd episode of S1 please recommend other than this.
Can anyone suggest dark mystery shows and movies?
My favorite TV show is Dark. My favorite movie is The Witch from Robert Eggers.
Anyone knows anything similar?
Thanks in advance
What's your favorite Disney shows and or movies available on Disney Plus?
If you're not in the US then anything you can watch on Disney Plus is fine.
If you're in the US limit your shows and movies to anything available on Disney Plus that doesn't require a Hulu subscription in order to watch on Disney Plus.
My top Disney shows are
Hannah Montana
Girl Meets World
The Suite Life of Zach and Cody
Wizards of Waverly Place.

I’m looking for a sexy show preferably sci-fi, but it doesn’t have to be. Preferably queer, but it doesn’t have to be.
Sense 8 is my favorite show! It ran for 2 seasons but got a “movie” final episode to wrap most things up.
You should check it out!
Trigger warning there’s a lot of sex.
Thank you for your suggestions!
I have watched Sharp Objects( Didn't like it. Too slow and literally nothing happens) Chestnut Man( Quite liked it). I thought the first season of Broadchurch was quite good. Didn't watch the subsequent seasons. I have also watched Mindhunter, Bosch, Monk, Psych, The Mentalist, Top of the Lake etc.
I am not a fan of mysteries that don't get solved in the end.
Please suggest something with 1-3 seasons. Beyond that my attention deficit would kick in.
Thanks in advance.
My options are: Smallville, Skins, From, Nobody Wants This, Looking for Alaska, One Day (2024).
I'm not sure which one should I watch first. Or a must-watch on this list? 😅
Thank you! ☺️
