Season 1 of stranger things in my opinion is one of the best seasons of a tv show ever. I couldn’t stop watching it when I first saw it. Now every time I re-watch it I still can’t turn it off.
Looking for similar shows like this that are known for being binge worthy I guess. Doesn’t necessarily have to be sci-fi.
May contain a spoiler
I stated watching Ozark right now, and already 1 episode and 5 minutes of the 2nd one in and I googled if Wendy dies at the end. And lost interests finding out she doesnt
So my question is. Is there a serie without disgustingly hateable female characters like Wendy in Ozark or Skylar in Breaking Bad ?
Any good reality restaurant/bar that aren’t over dramatized? Like almost every kitchen is Gordon Ramsey dirtiest he’s ever encountered on Kitchen Nightmares, same for Bar Rescue. Do find the details of the remodel and new menu more interesting, which is often glazed over.
I want a series that contains a lot of mystery, with the world and story expanding as the episodes progress, and a large number of deeply written main characters.
My kiddo has a phobia of death. Occasionally the shows we watch can bring on a panic attack (last nights was from watching Brooklyn 99 and the mention of death a handful of times). Any shows out there similar to Modern Family or Full House that aren’t boring for adults to watch? Not looking for animated series. Not looking for kid shows.
I want a binge-watchable tv show. What should I watch from my list. I am not in the mood for slow burn shows.
1.The boys.
2.Severance 3.Banshee 4.Mr Inbetween 5.Lost
Finished Handmaid Tales and loved it. What can I watch next. Also liked Queen of the South, Blacklist, Banshee, SOA, Animal Kingdom, Grays Anatomy. I like things that grab your attention right away.
Most of the shows I’ve ever seen
The Office (US) Dexter Parks and Recreation The Good Place After Life The Wire Brooklyn-Nine Nine Rick and Morty Spongebob Squarepants Adventure Time Chowder Reacher The Chosen Supernatural The Andy Griffith Show Everybody Loves Raymond The King of Queens Chopped What We Do in the Shadows The Boys Breaking Bad How Its Made Gen V The Sopranos House, M.D. Boardwalk Empire Black Mirror Attack on Titan Smiling Friends Parks and Recreation Saint Denis Medical The Traitors Love Island The Amazing World of Gumball Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends Big Brother
These are some of my favourite shows and i really need something new to watch that's good from the start usually i know within the first 10 minutes if i like something 😂 So any recs pleasee? thank you
I'm looking for Tv shows that are similar to the recruit.
I have seen : Night agent , White collar , Suits , black list
Any recommendations?

I liked Mad Man (probably the most favorite ever), The Queen Gambit, Cleo...thanks
I'm looking for a short (up to 30 minutes) series to watch during my breaks from studying. Something light but still engaging enough to keep me interested.
To give an idea of what I’ve watched and enjoyed in this style:
I know Friends is an obvious suggestion, but I didn’t really click with it.
Any recommendations?
Kind of like Twin Peaks. But not too much horror please, i get disturbed easily lol I love older shows too btw so decade doesn't matter. Thank you!
I recently watched and enjoyed a lot: Better Things Colin from Accounts Somebody Somewhere
I am currently watching Severance season 2 and waiting for White Lotus season 3. Any suggestions while I wait?
Hello everyone!
Can you help recommend me something to watch?
I really like:
And also Gravity Falls and Owl house.
Thank you so much for any recommendations you can provide!
Sorry if it's a bit specific, but I'm looking for a show that has city streets, skyscrapers, city life, etc. I'm also interested in the "warmer" pallet shows. Some examples I can think of are
Season 1 of You
Girls (the setting is what kept me watching iah)
Friends From College
Season 3 of Westworld
Boardwalk Empire
Sex and the City
Seasons 1/2 of Dear White People
All of those examples really hit the nail on the head for the type of general color pallet I'd like, or the type of city setting I'm thinking of. Also I'm fine with only getting one of the two if it's also a good watch. I'm looking forward to any suggestions and recommendations, thanks in advance!
I loved these shows and have rewatched a few of them (Grey’s Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl) but I feel like I really need something new. Any recs based on this list?
Grey’s Anatomy Gilmore Girls Scandal Bridgerton The O.C Gossip Girl Vampire Diaries Pretty Little Liars The White Lotus The Office White Collar Project Runway Private Practice The Summer I turned Pretty Designated Survivor E.R. Inventing Anna HTGAWM Friends Criminal Minds Suits Dynasty Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Big Little Lies SATC Stranger Things One tree hill (started but didn’t finish)
My boyfriend and I watched white lotus and severance together and loved both. We are looking for another show to binge watch. We both like the mystery aspect of these shows. He also really enjoyed the scenery in white lotus. We also tried industry and liked it ok, but fell off because we found it a little too depressing with not enough plot development (maybe because we work in finance so hits closer to home).
Other shows I’ve watched individually and like: Succession, big little lies, little fires everywhere, the flight attendant, the morning show, newsroom, damages, veep (though he doesn’t like veep because he doesn’t like politics / understand the humor), house of cards, scandal, how to get away with murder, quantico, designated survivor, homeland, and arrested development. [Added: You]
Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks!
I was just thinking about some of my favorite comedies and I realized most of them use 5-10 second flashbacks when characters are talking about something to illustrate their point.
Something about the show actually going thru setting up a huge shoot with costumes and makeup to make the character look younger for a few seconds of footage just makes me laugh while appreciating the commitment to the bit.
Some examples are like flashing back to Eleanor being a bad person in TGP, Tracy Jordan doing a crazy movie in 30 Rock, or Kimmy remembering stuff that happened to her when she was trapped in the cult.
Anyone recommend a good show that has this kind of thing? Stuff like 30 Rock, Kimmy Schmidt, The Good Place, Don’t Trust the B, Girls5Eva, etc.
These are the shows I've loved. What other shows would you suggest?
Walking Dead (until it got awful) Yellowstone (until the last season) Breaking Bad Game of Thrones Vikings Sons of Anarchy Stranger Things Orange is the New Black Shameless (US)
Hi , currently watching season 6 of Mad Men , and I'm enjoying the hell out of it . This series made me realize how much i love well-written dialogue , every word , every sentence carries weight .
I'm looking for similar series that have the qualities i described above .
Series i've already seen an use as a reference for comparison .
- The Wire
- House of Cards
- Deadwood
- Succession
- Sopranos
Also watched : Suits , Mr.Robot , Ozark , Mindhunter , Mr.Inbetween but these didn't quite reach the same level for me as the ones above.
I don't mind if there's no action or it's slower as long as the characters are talking and I enjoy it.
It's important that I don't watch short series or one-season shows because they don't keep me engaged enough.
Hi,
I’m looking for a new military or spy show. I really like Homeland, the Unit, Jack Ryan, the Lioness, and Reacher. I’ve seen the recruit and plan to watch the new season too. I did not like Black Doves or Night Agent, both were too slow.
Edit to say I watched a few episodes of the Americans and found it to be too slow.
Thanks
Looking for something like banshee -is warrior any good?
Hey everyone,
I’m on the hunt for TV series that are visually striking, bold, and boundary-pushing—something that feels cinematic, artistic, or just plain unique. I love shows that take creative risks, whether in their storytelling, structure, or visuals.
Some of my favorites:
I’m open to any genre or language, as long as it feels fresh, visually stunning, or just unlike anything else. Would love to hear your recommendations! Can be any language! Thanks in advance.
Im looking for a show that really builds up to a battle or war against two factions. Something that really hypes this up and you become enthralled in the politics of it. Looking for something fast paced though and full of action.
I want to watch something thats easy to watch, bingeable, and lighthearted. I dont want to be surprised. I have a lot of trouble with picking something and sticking with it. Its getting to be a real problem. I feel like I havent watched a good show in ages.
Probably my top 5 from all this would be
King of the hill Frieren Bobs burgers The Good place Dark
