You want forgotten television, I'll give you you forgotten television
To this day it remains one of my favorite cartoons of all time and yet I feel like I could count on one hand how many people I know in real life who remember this show. Show some love for Dexter Douglas!
If anybody remembers this show, it's a very interesting case study. The first season is a pretty bog-standard 80s sci-fi thing where the original WotW aliens are discovered hiberating in toxic waste drums, they try to take over the world, a scrappy band of scientists fight them in a world that's pretty much the regular world.
Then in season two the show like...completely changed. They killed off two of the main characters, added a new one, switched out aliens, and it's now a post-apocalytpic dystopia? It's more or less an entirely different show with the same title and a couple of actors in common. It's so weird to me. I was obsessed with the first season, but the second one lost me entirely.
Having Jesse the body Ventura and Rowdy Roddy Piper in a tv show could’ve been amazing, the entire pilot is on YouTube and while it’s a bit cheesy this was 1991
A really great one
Ran on 1984 on season. I'm pretty sure George Clooney showed up later in the season and just realized that is Berta from 2 and half men.
