I just started watching it last night, i think its really good.
This show is so much fun to watch. My husband and I love it.
Anyone else watching it and what do you think about it?
We highly recommend it.
This show isn't mid. Do you guys know how good this show even is??
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to create a ranking of these series from best to worst to help me decide what to watch first. I haven't seen most of the shows listed here, and for the ones I have started, I haven’t finished them yet. I’d really appreciate your opinions on which ones are must-watch and which I could skip or save for later. If possible, please base your rankings on factors like storyline quality, acting, character development, and any other points you consider important.
Series List:
Thanks in advance for your recommendations and insights. Looking forward to seeing your rankings and hearing your thoughts!
Currently on season 2 but wow! The Drama, story, soundtrack, character developments, acting. Literally everything about this show is perfectA at first, I thought it was slow paced and confusing but once I got into it. I’m hooked!
I’m thoroughly enjoying The Newsroom, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1870479/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk which reminds me of Veep with its humour and writing. Can you recommend similar shows ?
Hi I’m looking for the show where two characters share a deeply emotional scene - likely a break up where they’re still friends after or they’ve just revealed something that affects them majorly - where after talking they embrace for a really really long time, so long that after the credits some other characters come in and still see them embracing.
I watch a lot of tv but it’s likely that this is from a comedy? Sitcom style maybe? Likely that it’s a popular show? Maybe with a laugh track?
It’s killing me but I can’t place it for the life of me.
Just finished watching and it’s very good but… wow the story is a bit controversial… lol. What are your thoughts?
Hi guys!! I watched a show on netflix(aus) back in around 2018/19 and I thought it was so good but can’t remember the name for the life of me! It was a period show, and it was about this young woman who started working at a boutique i’m pretty sure(i remember the shop selling makeup and dresses). She also falls in love with her boss while working there, i’m pretty sure her dad owned a shop too that was going broke but I can’t fully remember. This is such a vague description i’m sorry HAHAH but if you have any clue please lmk!
I just loved Presumed Innocent. Are there any such intense Court room dramas that the subreddit would recommend?
I did like Lincoln Laywer too. But that was not what you would call intense.
I liked the writing, characters, and the ease of watching this show.
Witty banter is one of my favorite aspects of a satisfying show (shrinking, you’re the worst, Loudermilk), and unlike “you’re the worst,” ”nobody wants this” wasn’t underpinned by substance abuse.
It seems hard to hit that sweet spot of raunchy humor and witty banter in a TV-MA show, without it also including the majority of the characters being impaired by their hard drug(s) of choice.
To be clear, I appreciate how substance abuse issues can contribute to a story line, but sometimes it seems like the challenges that crop up because of addiction can be blinding and prevent the viewer from really sinking into the nuanced personalities of the characters.
Curious if you all have any suggestions!
The big bang theory in my opinion was a good show and young Sheldon was good as it expanded apon things we may have had questions about. But now we have Georgie and Mandys first marriage which implies they'll break up as the finale or something but looks to be just a random sitcom with genetic situations and nothing really being answered
I'm looking for a TV show with American mid-century vibes, preferably a modern retelling (2000 and later). Think Bewitched, Mona Lisa Smile, The Help (not necessarily about the Civil Rights movement, thought I'm not opposed), the book The Astronaut's Wives, Mad Men. I'm looking for something more focused on the women's side of things than Mad Men is, though I did love the show. There are just so many shows out there. I tend to just rewatch old favorites.
Thank you!
this can apply to movies too, but are there any characters you feel weren’t worthy of the redemption arc they were given - either bc what they have done is too unforgivable, or it was just a poorly written redemption, etc.?
i love a good redemption arc but i think they can be forced and implausible sometimes
What are some songs that, when you hear them on the radio, make you immediately think of a specific TV show? For me three are:
Joe Walsh "In the city" - Rick and Morty citadel episode
The Who "Baba O'Reilly" - Superstore walkout
Tom Petty "American Girl" - Parks and Rec Harvest Festival
