Who gave the best / your favorite acting performance in Outer Banks?
Basically shows you feel very strongly toward the characters, positive or negative feelings Ex, loved the desperate housewives, breaking bad, billions. Hated and liked characters in these shows

Hello all,
I'm learning Spanish right now and I'm using Netflix as a way to get more Spanish input. So, what I'm looking for are shows with as much dialogue in them as possible. Some examples of shows that have fit the bill for me: Archer, Bojack Horseman, Aquí No Hay Quien Viva (famous Spanish sitcom).
Thanks!
Major Spoiler! (THIS IS FROM OBX)
We know that Groff is JJs dad. And we know that Ward is Sarah's. We know that JJs mom (can't remember her name) is JJs mom. We know that Rose is Sarah's stepmom. So whos Sarah's real mom? JJ'S MOM!!
They look alike and they've always had that kind of sibling bond. Or maybe they're first cousins because Ward and Groff kind of look alike. And they've both got that psychotic of course I would kill my child mindset.
Either way JJ and Sarah have to be related!!
I know that there are lots of posts on Ozark in this group.
I just started Ozark couple of days backs and I should say it’s very engaging and by far one of the best Netflix series ever made.
My other favourites are
5)Dark
After reading several posts on Ozark in this group I started watching and am enjoying pretty much till now ! Hope it gets more grippy with upcoming episodes. Am on S1E4 right now.
So hi guys I Need something like toradora, romantic killer, sorda Bubbles up like soda pop, your name I mean you got what I mean Just drop a few
[DISCUSSION] For all the fans of romance and thriller, you guys need to watch this. It’s so underrated. I have to admit that the first couple of episodes and some things seems banal and stupid with stereotypes, but you need to reach the half of season 1. I bing watched season 2 in one day. It’s so good, full of mystery, sexy and bloody (2023-2025)
I happened to watch this last night and searched this sub to see if there were any discussions on it. Surprised not to have seen any posts (that my cursory search could find).
If you haven’t seen it, and like documentaries, I recommend it. It follows a group of young girls and their incarcerated fathers as they prepare for a father/daughter dance at the prison. website here
There’s certain aspects I’d love to discuss but I don’t want to give anything away or set any expectations in my initial post.
I’m a sucker for zombie shows and movies. Any good zombie movies you can recommend? Stuff like World War Z, The Last of Us, The Walking Dead
If we go the documentaries category of netflix all i find is true crime documentaries that too 3 to 4 episodes long with 50 mins runtime each
And TBH me being a true crime documentary fanatic. I feel like netflix is exploiting this genre by turning them into series. Documentaries more than 60 mins tend to become boring.
Half of the information is just useless. With no narrator at all they tend to bring people who doesnt even have any real contribution to the investigation or the crime. Like the guy in the MH370 series who kept on blaming the piolet and the Russian passengers.
I just loose the interest to continue watching the series cause they start to become so so boring.
Kissing is fine. I just don't want to watch the main characters doing the devil's dirty tango.
Thank you. 😊 Hope you have a good day. 💜
Goddammit, why is Harlan Coben so very addictive? I hate myself as I watch these shows because I know I'm being manipulated but I can't stop. They managed to be simultaneously terrible and compulsive viewing.
Edit: my favourite quote so far "you're not the boss of me anymore, I passed my exams!"
I only remember seeing some of the show, like a re run once and i thought it was crazy and ridiculous. Not much else.
However, I thought they would really explore the effects of this show in culture. Perhaps even talk to people who had been on the show. Instead, we simply watched producers talk about their experiences. Not even in depth really.
Only one story stood out because of a tragedy and it was the only emotive, and impactful thing about this.
We learned about the main producer, how good a person Jerry was… apparently.
But I didn’t get much from it. I didn’t know who Jerry really was by the end of this, and I still don’t feel like… This felt like a cheap, quick doc on a topic that needed a much larger exploration.
Not very good.
So watching things together is one of our few bonding moments 10 years in, but my wife is kind of picky. She likes crime and action but not too much violence. She gets distracted easily so nothing too slow. Hot people are a plus but the show needs to be well done too.

Any suggestions?
I’m thinking try going back to shows like Rome, The Tudors?
Unfamiliar with Indian films outside of the ones critically acclaimed in the west. Looking to expand, specifically with ones as bombastic and digestable as RRR. As I understand it, RRR is in the "Masala" genre so something in that area. Not looking for high-art here.
Happy to take recommendations from Prime or Max too.
I watched the movie in Norwegian with English subtitles on - incredible story telling, good acting and excellent historical recreation. The whole movie - told from the perspective of an elderly man recounting his WWII experience to a highschool class and flashing back to his actual experiences - is believable and an effective way of moving the story along without ever bogging down in minutiae. I have not enjoyed a hero / good guy film this much in a long time.
I thought the show was great and I enjoyed it but I don’t understand the hate online from people.
I live in Manchester so I might be slightly bias because I enjoyed seeing some of my favourite spots around the city on screen but nevertheless…
I'm sure this has already been asked somewhere, but anyway.
Just finished Squid Game S2, loved the show. Looking for other shows that hit the same sort of notes. English or subtitles, IDM. I've started "The 8 Show" which seems decent, but I'm only on episode 2, so it could go either way.
God, I'm aging myself but I used to watch Jerry Springer and think what a freak show it was.
It is so sad that anyone was this desperate to be on TV, right?
I actually feel so sorry for the vulnerable guests who appeared on the show. I hope there would be more care taken for them these days.
Edit: the reason the guy quit towards the end of episode 2. Jesus Christ!
Who gave the best / your favorite acting performance in Squid Game?
Hi everyone! I just wrapped up watching The Lincoln Lawyer, and I really enjoyed its mix of legal drama, intriguing cases, and engaging characters. Could you recommend similar shows with a focus on lawyers, courtroom drama, or even a similar vibe? Would love to hear your suggestions!
Anybody else who watched it thought it was criminally underrated? Great watch, especially those who like crime-drama-comedy series. Plus the cinematography and editing is good.
The show is pretty good especially Bill's performance. He brillantly portrayed one of the most notorious yet charismatic criminal in Swedish history.
That Netflix series where a couple went to adopt a puppy.
In the opening scene of this web series, a couple went to adopt a puppy. The adoption center caretaker show the wife a picture of her husband with another girl and refused the puppy. This revelation led to an argument between the couple.
All I can remember is this much. After this, I could not continue it for some reason. And I can't find this series in my continue watching list.
Please help me find it. Thanks.
Who gave the best / your favorite acting performance in One Day?
I broke my arm and must stay at home for 30 days. What movies do you suggest? Any genre is fine
