Sunday (tomorrow) at the Revel ABQ. Bought them for 175 after fees, willing to sell for 140 (face value)
Looking NNW from the Sandia foothills and this is looming in the distance. Looks like the devil's tower, although I know that's in a different state.
When traveling I like to have some little, cool small trinkets or treats from home to hand out to folks along the way. Normally when I go back to the Pacific Northwest I take chile and biscochitos but we're going to Mexico next and both of those are in high supply down there. Anyone have thoughts or recommendations for little, New Mexico based gifts to hand out?
We used to live in San Antonio, TX and they have a place called River City Produce, which sells large-ish boxes of various kinds of produce in the $6-$40 range, depending on the thing. Also a "consumer pack" that is a $25 box of a mix of things, and is a very good deal.
Is there anything like this in New Mexico or maybe El Paso? Haven't found anything like it yet.
I’m a current student at Full Sail University, graduating in February 2025 with a bachelor’s in Audio Production (Engineering). I want to get hands-on experience since my entire schooling was done online. I’m interested in opportunities to become an ADR mixer to work on dialogue or Foley mixing for movies. Where can I start looking for these kinds of contacts, and what are some good recommendations? I know there are a lot of indie filmmakers, but where can I find them? I’m currently in West Texas and want to explore my options.
I saw that the national parks are officially closed on Thanksgiving but can I still enter or are the entrances physically closed as well? I'm interested in visiting over the Thanksgiving holiday. TIA for any help!
Hey everyone I’m relocating to New Mexico in about 30 days from California. I was hoping to get some tips and advice on safe areas to move to.
Are there rules for the people living in Cochiti Lake regarding water consumption? I planned on washing my vehicles just wanted to make sure that was not an issue.
Moving to Santa Fe in about a month or so, got my pre-season tune-up done in my current location. Any recommendations on best ski and board shops? (Mainly ski) Bluebird Mountain Sports seems to be the only one in the Santa Fe area, without going up to Taos (which I’m not vehemently opposed to if it’s a good shop, I drive an hour now to go to a good shop) and there don’t appear to be any in ABQ. Mainly looking to purchase more gear in the future and get the mid-season tune-ups. Thanx ❄️🎿⛷️
Would it be alright to take I-25 up to Denver on sunday? I know there’s snow predicted on Friday and Saturday up in Denver, and it looks like there’s a storm right above Colorado right now. Would a Jeep Cherokee make it or would I need chains or what? help!!
We may be pursuing legal action against my husband's current employer, although we're just at the "gathering evidence and covering his own ass" stage.
If anyone has a law firm that they feel good about recommending, we'd appreciate it. The claim would be in the vein of harassment, discrimination, unsafe working conditions, and probably unfair termination (we assume he will be fired once he goes to HR). Also he's a disabled veteran and some of the claim would pertain to that, if that makes a difference in who you recommend.
Really we'll take any recommendations or advice at all. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather send not post in the thread. Thanks!
I’m looking to head up to sandia for some skiing this weekend. Sounds like it will be ungroomed and advanced terrain/chair 3 only. How good is the skiing? I’ve only skied Santa fe in New Mexico, but was very impressed. Excited that they got 3 feet of snow overnight!!
I just finished this piece and wanted to show it off to fellow New Mexicans.

Planning to do a trip with family from Abq to flagstaff in end of November. ( don’t see snow predicted for Az) Planning to leave at 3 and reach by 8pm. Will the driving seems to be on i40. It does get dark by 5pm. Is it safe? Should we stay at Winslow instead? Recommendations please
I just walked over to the Allsup's Convenience Store in Gallup, and as the title states they refused to sell beer to my friend and I because we were walking! It was annoying but I'm mainly just curious: What is the logic behind this law/policy?? If I was in a car they'd have no problem?? This just seems so backwards and nonsensical to me. I've never heard anything like it, and it came as a complete surprise.
The cashier said she couldn't sell to us because we were walking. Anyone know why this is? I'm unfamiliar with the state so it was quite surprising. Edit: sorry for the double post. It looked like my first one didn't go through at first
