I’m moving back. I was sitting in a diner and had a fond memory of returning to copies of the Alibi. Quick search and to my shame I didn’t realize the Alibi is long gone. What’s the deal with The Paper? Is it a thing. Does it scratch the itch?
This may be a weird question. I love green chile but texture wise, I don't like big pieces of chile and prefer is to be mostly, if not all, sauce. I especially have a hard time with the texture when there is skin in the chile.
What restaurants in Rio/ABQ have green chile that is more sauce and less/no pieces and skin?
This morning specifically I am craving enchiladas but always afraid I'm going to get chunky chile which throws me off 😂
Is there anywhere in town that will pay me to take glass bottles ?
I lost my job after the owner of the small company I worked for found out I had applied for a similar position elsewhere. How he found out? I will genuinely never know, but I was approached and let go. I filed unemployment and was denied.
Truth be told, I’d rather work anyway. But I’m struggling to even get an interview at this point.
I have a plethora of retail/customer service experience, intrastate courier experience, Cannabis Industry experience and I’m well versed in anything electronic (Smartphones, Computers, tablets etc)
I’ve been on Indeed everyday the past month and it just seems like I’m averaging maybe, one reply from an employer every two weeks or so.
Any leads or tips would be greatly appreciated!
I can send my resume to be looked over as well. Thanks so much.
Can’t seem to sign up for an account
Am I the only one waking up in the middle of the night to a panic attack over Trump being the president again?
I can’t go to tonights show if anyone is interested? 😉
Pumpkin patch was fun. Any similar events during Christmas season?
Just looking for some reviews before I apply, thinking of being a server. Also in college too.
Like the title says - looking for a local source of compressed yeast in the small blocks, I don't need 12 lb of it!
Whatsup y'all. I'm new to ABQ as of early October and also new to doordash. They pay us okay but I've noticed that like less than 1 in 5 people here tip. I haven't doordashed elsewhere but have read some online that's kinda low. Though I understand DD keeps raising fees so maybe tipping DD drivers is dying out. It's a bummer because the drivers get screwed for the company's greed. Anyway I just wanted to vent but also post this to hear some perspective or opinions. Do y'all usually tip? And other drivers do you expect tips or have you seen things change over the years?
Hello all!
I am from out of state, though my family views New Mexico as home. Last night I was browsing Amazon looking at cook books when I was made aware of a cook book that was released and published by PNM called cocinas de new mexico.
I would love a physical copy of the book to surprise my mom for christmas, however the price of the copy on Amazon is a bit north of where I would want to pay at $160. Does anyone know if PNM still sells copies directly or if there is a way to find a cheaper option.
Many thanks in advance
Does anyone know where I can find a giving tree this year? Cottonwood doesn’t seem to have one. Thanks
T
Greatly appreciated if you do🙏🏼
Anyone know of any really good flowe deals around town? I'm willing to drive to any corner of Albuquerque or Rio rancho to get it. Got about $60 to spare.
Howdy all,
I'm looking for recommendations for shops that will do a fluid change on a CVT, since I know many places won't work on them at all. I have a 2011 Subaru outback and a fluid exchange at Garcia Subaru is about $500, so I'm looking for other options. If anyone has had good luck getting maintenance done on Subaru CVTs please let me know!
Thanks in advance!
I've been thinking about trying to spend my holiday gift money locally this year and I'm trying to think of where to go. Where do you all recommend? I like the Candy Lady, and the Lapis Room in Old Town (and Old Town generally), the Railyards Market when it is open, and Masks Y Mas. but, what else am I missing? Looking for true local, no chains that happen to have stores here.
Hey all, I’m military so have moved all around..love to grow peppers and have had great success in Florida and Italy, not so much in England and Vegas..here now and want to experiment, are there any particular varieties that do well here and are a safer bet? Any other tips would be great since next spring will be my first time growing at a higher elevation..thanks!
In 1992, 79-year-old Stella Liebeck went through the drive-through at the McDonalds on Gibson and boiling hot coffee spilled on her lap and sent her to the hospital for eight days, skin grafts, plus two years of follow up.
McDonalds wouldn’t pay the $20k in medical bills, so they got sued in federal court.
In 1994, the jury verdict heard round the world: $160k plus $2.7M in punitive damages. It was later reduced to $640k, and then it got confidentially settled.
Roughly double all those dollar amounts to reach 2024 equivalents. This case is still required reading at any competent law school.
From the Southeast to the Northeast. In 2017, at the NuMale clinic at Paseo and Wyoming, M.S., a 66-year-old widower from Rio Rancho, went for testosterone replacement therapy because he had low energy and wanted to lose weight.
This clinic did not take most insurance, and was run a lot more like a used car dealership than an endocrinology clinic. I know because I’ve received services there. They gave him testosterone pellets implanted in the butt cheek (I had that done there too) but upsold him on penile injections he didn’t want or ask for.
It’s rather appalling what happened next, totally not his fault, and somewhat beyond what my worst nightmares would have been with such a procedure, but when it was all over, they ended up destroying his penis and he lost all feeling and functionality there. He sued in 2020.
The Albuquerque jury just found in favor of Mr. M.S. and set a world record medical malpractice judgment against NuMale: $37M in compensatory damages and $375M in punitive damages, give or take a few dollars.
This is over 100x what Ms. Liebeck was awarded. NuMale is a multi state chain of clinics, but McDonalds.. yeah.
Naturally, this case will likewise probably make it into law school required reading as well, at least until something bigger comes along.
I don’t know that it really impacts the goings on in Albuquerque, but it happened here and not anywhere else. What does everybody think?
