Infinity Gauntlet tournament
Lost my father to suicide last week.
He was HUGE into Magic for many years, and I'll be going through his stash to see what he has. I'm not into Magic these days, so I'll be selling off a good amount of it, maybe keep a deck or two for myself.
First, I have to go to Roswell and go through everything and price it...
Anybody know of a trustworthy shop in town to start selling to, that will give me good prices on things? I haven't decided if I'm going to do local sales, or ship out of state. Whatever helps with funerary costs and such, I guess.
Hey folks,
An avid reader here who’s curious if there are any book clubs that are fantasy or sci-fi focused. I’d love to meetup with like minded folks to share interests and thoughts on some books. Located in Albuquerque.
Hey all! Just announced on our social media, we have a new Tournament coming just in time for the holiday! On Sunday morning, December 1st, we open our doors at 10 to prepare you for MK1! With an up-to-date roster of all the latest characters available, it’s a 2/3 match lineup!
Specific rules will be coming soon (and posted on our socials, website (thenewgameplus.com) and posted up in our shop.
Share with your friends and let everyone know so we can make this one a huge success!
I’m down to hang out if there’s any events happening this morning.
Ettin games ABQ will be hosting Arkham Nights 2024 Nov 23 @ 6pm. Ettin games is located at 8510 Montgomery Blvd NE Ste A1, Albuquerque, NM 87111 PH# (505) 503-6993.
We will be doing the Midwinter Gala for our scenario. The entry fee will be $10, and all participants will receive items from the Arkham Nights 2024 event kit.
I will need to know what character you will be playing for team composition and reddit will be the easiest way for me to keep track. We will be playing the Best Guests variant of Midwinter gala. No taboo list and stand-alone rules for deck building. Difficulty will be determined by the team players before play. There might be a secret surprise for the best team.
When building a deck for a standalone game, an investigator may use higher level cards in his or her deck (so long as they observe the deckbuilding restrictions of the investigator) by counting the total experience of all the higher-level cards used in the deck, and taking additional random basic weaknesses based on the following table:
0-9 experience: 0 additional random basic weaknesses
10-19 experience: 1 additional random basic weakness
20-29 experience: 2 additional random basic weaknesses
30-39 experience: 3 additional random basic weaknesses
40-49 experience: 4 additional random basic weaknesses
A player cannot include 50 or more experience worth of cards in a standalone deck.

Hi, I am interested in getting into the pauper format, but I don't want to invest time and money into building a deck if I don't have anyone to play with. Do any game stores here in ABQ play pauper? I have been building a couple commander decks and as far as I can tell I shouldn't have trouble finding somewhere where I can play commander, but looking at the FNM search tool I don't see any mentions of pauper.
Hey everyone! Since Halloween is a few days away and we didn’t want to take anything away from that, just wanted to throw out that we are doing some trivia tonight at New Game Plus on Constitution and Wyoming. It begins at 7, venues fee is $5 per person, and we are allowing teams of two.
Even if you don’t participate, come by to check it out! I’ll be here all day, and helping run the shop while my employee Chris runs the trivia.
Hope to see some of you here! ☺️
I’m looking for more lgbt/gaming friends or just friends in general but I can’t find any way to :( I’m 18 but can’t go to collage yet, (i have to get my GED long story) so I’ve been just trying to find any way of meeting people but I can’t find any, so I’m looking for any kind of help I can get (if it’s important I’m in the bottom left corner of nm)
Only Wizard arrow blade will be used. A deck of 3 unique non-repeating parts. Come have fun! There's some awesome looking medals to be won. Blade and parts can be provided!
I’ll try one more time. Just checking if there’s anyone interested in a Vampire or Wraith game in Santa Fe. I’m a new Storyteller, so being patient is a must lol. I have 1-2 potential players, but nothing confirmed yet. There would be some discussion beforehand to decide on a game and set limits, pick a time, etc. Will most likely meet at WZKD in the mall.
It would be fun to meet up to create the cars, and then again to race them and blow them up. I am open to managing the process. Does this interest anyone? If yes, post or DM me and lets get a conversation going.
For context, I'm a conventional mid 40's dude. I don't frequently post on reddit because I don't have drama and my opinions are an old adage. I'm open to playing with any responsible, functional human beings who practice kindness, respect, and honesty :-)
Hey all,
Anyone playing Lorcana? I picked up a starter deck today and swung by the high street duke city games, but no one showed up. Anyone playing? Does anyone know if the monday dcg event on Lomas gets players?
Thanks!
Where do yall go to play edh here in abq? I’ve been to some of the shops a lot of them not super close to me but it’s whatever. Just looking for a good edh space.
Hi. I've recently started playing Starfleet Battles again. It's a table top strategy game based on Star Trek TOS and TAS. We have a group of 6 people and meet weekly (Saturday afternoons) in Albuquerque. We're looking for others that have played before, or are interested in learning. Post here or message me if you are interested. Thanks!

Most members are in their 20’s/30’s. It’s a supportive, diverse, and inclusive community of people in ABQ. There are members that are straight, gay, bi, trans, men, women, hispanic, black, white, asian, etc, etc. People in the server tend to be into nerdier hobbies like TTRPGs, Gaming, Anime, and etc, but there’s also people going to the gym, raves, and wider range of hobbies. At times we have large server meet-ups where everyone is invited to a single place, but many people also meet weekly in smaller groups. You don’t have to want to meet in person to be a part of the discord, there are people who just want to chat with other people in ABQ. It’s a very supportive place to get things off of your chest, celebrate, ask questions, and bond with other people.
The link is pinned on my profile as well
Come join us tomorrow night for our competitive Beyblade X tournament starting @6pm located Duke City Games Lomas in Albuquerque, NM
My wife (cis f) and I (44 mtf) are seriously considering a move near Albuquerque early/mid 2025, from Austin. While we’d be south of town a bit, driving isn’t a big deal.
Is Albuquerque queer/trans friendly kinda town? Is there a vibrant D&D scene?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone heard anything about Arkham Horror 2024? I sent an email to Ettin and Brian mentioned,
"We will be going to get the box and will probably have an event for it as well."
Nothing further than that though. I wanted to check if anyone has heard anything.
