Traveling to Carlsbad for work this week and just looking to see if there are stores that have play space for 40K games or discord groups. Thanks in advance!
So I've come to find I love 'The Lucky Bull' and 'Thelmas Wings and Things'. There's a few places I want to try for BBQ. Which place in Carlsbad has the best food to eat?

I work with some out of state coworkers that think the man camp menudo is delicious (it’s not lol). The only one I’ve tried being in the area is in Hobbs a few years back. Any recommendations locally that y’all recommend?

For those who didn't go in previous years or haven't heard about it, check out the website or Facebook page for more details. It's a pretty fun event and thought I should share it here for anybody who hasn't heard about it.

Hi,
Looking for some food recommendations for our upcoming trip please. Realise the first part of the trip is in Tx so feel free to ignore those, but thought I'd mention them too, just in case you kind folks know of somewhere good.
Day 1 - Breakfast in Fort Davis, Lunch between Balmorhea and Guadalupe Mountain NP, Dinner near Carslbad.
Day 2 - Breakfast near Carlsbad. We are visiting the caves that morning / early afternoon so I think we will get something from the cave cafeteria, but if anyone knows of any good lunch options between Carlsbad and Tucumcari please let me know.
TIA :)
Are there any recommendations for certain neighborhoods to live in or any certain areas to avoid?
we’re doing our 27th episode of cavemen news tomorrow. this week our topic is “monster trucks,” so we’ll talk about monster trucks in general and carlsbad’s specific history with monster trucks. that’s what the show is
Why does it smell like skunk weed every aisle I go down in the store?
I'm moving to Carlsbad next month and would like to get together with a group for garbage cleanup in the arroyos and other areas in need.
I would like to get more involved in protecting NM rivers (including the Pecos) and wild areas.
Does anyone else have interest in getting a group together for such activities?
Anyone know of a cab or ride share services in town? Looking to go out to a bar
Wondering what kind of business we’re in need of here in Carlsbad. Would love if there were more family friendly places to go to.
Hi y'all,
I am currently living in a very LGBT+ unfriendly state (Missouri) and have begun looking for places I might move to. I've mostly been looking at states listed as trans-friendly and cities where the place I work has job openings, and a huge bonus is if the cost of living is around the same.
Carlsbad has all 3- New Mexico from what I've ready is pretty LGBT+ friendly, the company has a position open that I'm qualified for, and cost of living seems to actually be 2 or 3% lower there than where I live.
I wanted to ask locals how viable it would be for me to move there, say. in 3 months to a year?
Some additional stuff is I'm originally from Alabama, I'm very into nerdy stuff (Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons, etc...), and I'm hoping to make friends around my age wherever I move (I'm 25). I currently make around $42K - $45K a year (depending on store performance bonuses) and have a few hundred dollars in savings.
Staying here for the night on the main street, and never in all my travels have I heard so many noisy pickup trucks in a city. It's like these guys are bragging about how small their cocks are or something, roaring up and down the street, squealing wheels out of parking lots, etc. Not exaggerating how strange this is, I've been to every state except Alaska, thousands of towns, lived on the road for decades. First time in Carlsbad, and love the town, but the loud trucks are a serious shit stain on this community.
That's more than this sub got in at least 3 months.
