I want a really funny show that will leave me in stitches.

I’m looking for a really funny show. Most shows that people consider comedy, like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or South Park, only make me chuckle every few episodes. I can’t tell if it’s just my sense of humor or if I don’t find many things genuinely funny.

For reference, I found the first two episodes of Tulsa King very funny and thought the movie The Upside was extremely hilarious. Does anyone have any recommendations for something similar?

Edit: I kind of prefer shows that are funny but with an overarching plot like Tulsa king rather than sitcoms but don't mind suggestions for either

    Show Recs?

My husband and I have been together over a decade and have binged several shows together, favorites including Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order SVU, Criminal Minds, King of the Hill, Human Resources, and Game of Thrones. I feel like we are struggling to find anything to watch together recently that we are both into.

Suggest some TV shows that features sharp sardonic banter and witty sarcasm

I was thinking of a tv show where :

    • Sherlock Holmes of Sherlock Holmes
    • Malcom Tucker of The Thick of it
    • Tom Wambsgans of Succession
    • Jimmy Barrett of Mad men
    • Gospel of Gentleman

Comes together to perform a fireworks display of dialogues that keeps us hanging on every barb and quip.

    TV Show suggestions .

Hey guys, I recently finished watching Dexter, and I need to find tv shows that have a unique storyline, like in Dexter, or even Prison Break. How crazy is that a blood spatter analyst, is also a serial killer, right? Any suggestions would be appreciated! 🤲

Dramedies/ sitcoms/ rom-coms you think that don't get talked about much but are actually really good

"Superstore" is one of those that comes to my mind - maybe there's more but I can't remember right now

Help me find a show to watch with my picky girlfriend!

The title is pretty much it. We just finished watching 1883 (which she liked) and tried watching Yellowstone (which she didn't like), and now we need to find a new show. I can watch whatever. She prefers shows that have faster-paced plots and immediately compelling characters.

    The shows she likes are:

1883, All American, All American: Homecoming, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dexter, Drake and Josh, Everwood, Full House, Happy Days, House MD, LOST, Manifest, Mike and Molly, Rugrats, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, The Boss Baby, The Dragon Prince, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Handmaid's Tale, The King of Queens, The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Young Sheldon

The shows she doesn't like are:

3%*, 6 Feet Under, Breaking Bad, Brooklyn Nine-Nine*, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, Fuller House, Game of Thrones, Hannibal, iCarly, Parks and Recreation, Schitt's Creek, Seinfeld, She-Ra: Princesses of Power*, Steven's Universe, The 100*, The Brady Bunch*, The Owl House, The Walking Dead, Victorious, Yellowstone

Shows with the * are ones whose concept she liked but whose execution she thought was poor.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

looking for a new show to start with my boyfriend

asking here because I have a pretty hard time finding shows I enjoy or that keep my attention. I have adhd so I tend to be drawn more to brainless goofy stuff or docuseries. I just can't seem to get into a lot of popular shows because the episodes are almost full movie lengths on their own and always seem to catered to a male audience (overly sexualized female leads), and in general stuff like that makes me grossed out and uncomfortable. I have a list of shows and a few movies we enjoy so if anyone can help me find one's similar to these, it would help a lot! I'm tired of re-watching the same things lol.

-kitchen nightmares -impractical jokes -Eric Andre show -home movies -cabinet of curiosities -jackass -Futurama -family guy -the office -my strange addiction -my strange arrest -dinner in america -Young Sheldon -Malcom in the middle

we also love horror and psychological thrillers!

    Light legal/drama/mystery

Recently I've found myself enjoying lighter shows that have a fun mystery/crime element to them. Examples:

    -The Man on the Inside

-Matlock (the newer one, with Kathy Bates)

    -Only Murders in the Building

    -Lincoln Lawyer (tv show)

I'd be looking for something somewhat recent (past ~10/15 years), something with at least a mild sense of humor, and while I have zero problem with the plot getting dark at points, I like the lighter touch that these shows have, even when the topic gets serious.

Not needing the most critically acclaimed stuff ever - just a good time!

(Bonus points, but not required: if at least one of the actors gives a pretty cool/strong performance)

Looking for series where big walls hide big mysteries

I noticed recently that a lot of my favorite media invoke some big-ass walls that hide the secrets of the world (Favorite animes: AoT and Promised Neverland, favorite series: Game of thrones and Westworld, favorite movie: truman show... heck i even loved the first mazerunner...)

Please recommend series with a similar concept. Thanks in advance for the suggestions

Looking for a show that I will absolutely fall in love with that's similar to Lost or The Walking Dead

I love shows where I'll grow attached to the characters and the show will make me feel an array of emotions throughout.

I love that with Lost they were trapped on an island but we got to learn more about the characters via flashbacks.

Falling Skies has scratched the TWD itch but I'm still looking for similar shows.

I tried watching FTWD but even after 3 seasons I just didn't care so much about the characters or the story. Nick and Troy were the only interesting characters and look what happens to them.

    Lesser known procedurals

Hi! I love watching shows and I have something in the background so often but since I have quite a lot of things to do I don't want to get too invested or have to watch it too closely. The solution is: procedurals. Not necessarily police/detective ones (although those are my fave!) but in general shows that have problems solved within one episode. Obvs it's fine if there's an overarching story in the background as that's often the case (like The Librarians for example where there's a big bad every season). I've seen nearly all of the mainstream ones so I'll welcome lesser known suggestions. Thank you!

Suggest any feel good series with romance.

I like tv shows which put smile on my face. If it is accompanied by cute and adorable romance, I am more happy. The only condition I have is couple should be together till end and I hate it when they breakup because they don't share same goals.

I loved Schitt's creek, The good place , Parks and rec , The office.
