whatever i do, literally anything related to nirvana contains the in utero album cover. including this subreddits image.
Hands and eyes look kinda stupid but overall pretty proud of it, used acrylic paint + pencil crayons for the veins, printed out the wings (photoshopped out from a pic of the album) and covered the whole thing in gloss varnish
Were they into improvisation? Did they consider it punk?
Looking for alternatives for this pedal. I really want the radio friendly unit shifter, filter matrix, and double track sound.
I know it's not a studio album but I still believe it to be the 3rd album (and therefore In Utero the 4th). I'm of course not taking any of the other stuff into consideration. Please tell me your thoughts?
"The whole time we knew each other, I never took a picture of his face,” Stipe said of the late Nirvana frontman, who would visit him in Athens as a sort of mentor for what it could mean to be a rock star without succumbing to soullessness. "We were outside in a garden and he was doing this beautiful gesture, moving his hands closer to me. Then I took this picture, which is out of focus but it doesn’t matter ‐ you get what it is."
On Cobain’s left hand are the ink-scrawled words “Syd list” (maybe a note to add the Golden Palominos singer Syd Straw to a concert guest list, though it’s not clear) and a ring that he and Stipe exchanged."
Curious
Did all of them so dirty
I mean, it's quite the track! I see no reason not to add it, especially when putting into consideration the fact that it was the song that made Krist want to start a band with Kurt after listening to the fecal matter demo tape. Did they ever made any mention as to why they chose to keep it out of the debut?
What do you think of this song? This song speaks to me.
Was wondering about some of the more obscure concerts.
These songs don't have to be from his top 50 albums but I'd prefer them to be
Title basically speaks for itself, I'm curious is Krist or Dave had other song/or version of tracks that they considered putting in the box set but it didn't end up working out
Jesus doesn’t want me as a sunbeam, then the man who sold the world is a close 2nd
5 year old: knock knock Dad: Who’s there? 5yo: Nirvana… Dad: Nirvana who? 5yo: HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO!
I think I might be doing ok with this one.
Doing something where I'm ranking and talking about every Nirvana song even obscure ones. I'm unsure if the audio seen in the smart sessions is the same or not as the one seen here
I've noticed a pattern with the way I listen to each album, they're tied to how I'm feeling in the moment.
Bleach is my angry album. Whenever I'm pissed off at something (work, my folks, etc.) I tend to put Bleach on.
Nevermind is my calm album. When I'm chill and just want to vibe to music, I usually pick Nevermind.
In Utero is my sad album. When my depression starts getting to me and I feel like my life's going to shit, I put In Utero on. And sometimes it differs, I either just feel the comfort of being sad (yes that was intentional) or sometimes it actually lifts my spirits because it's also my favorite album and I just feel happy listening to it.
And a bonus, I'd say Unplugged is also in the calm album space. I tend to play it early in the morning when my day is just beginning, like the start of my work shift. It eases me into being awake before I go into the louder stuff.
