We care a lot about the welfare of all you boys and girls. We care a lot about you people coz we're out to save the world. YEAH!
The sentiment, the song, the vibe. Fucking love that song just sang it in the kitchen to myself aloud far away from the family, theyβd prob think I was a bit off.
Heβs so Hot ππππ
My first concert of my choosing was Faith no more in Louisville in may of 95. My dad took my 2 buddies and I. Steelpole bathtub opened and literally played cheap trick's surrender and Sabbath's paranoid over and over for their whole set and my dad being the ass he was said it would be funny if FNM opened with paranoid and of course they did. They slipped it in throughout the set as well. Pure shenanigans. Lost my dad not too long ago but I'll always cherish the sacrifices he made to see me smile. https://archive.org/details/19950524faithnomore-thebrewerylouisvillekyusasource2
I absolutely love the middle section of R n' R (not sure if it could be called a chorus):
And then you go and tell a friend that Her heart's on fire and it has no meaning Well, now and only now I know the difference When you tell me that there ain't no difference
The fact that it is only played once is perfect, but definitely leaves you wanting more. It wouldn't have the same effect if it was repeated, but it's one of the best moments in any FNM song for me. The chord progression, the energy and Chuck's delivery really elevate the song. Honestly the entire Introduce Yourself record is slowly becoming my favorite.
Do you have any favorite parts on other songs?
Only this on my end, it's a reprint, it's not official merch or nothing, but it's real cool
Just curious if anyone here was at that show. I traveled from the US to the UK to see a friend, but I made sure to time that visit so I could see FNM while I was there.
Maybe you all already knew this but Iβm happy to hear the love my favorite bands have for each other
This was in Rome circa 1995
This is pretty faded. My first time seeing FNM. September 23, 1992 at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. Helmet opened. Mike invited a stage diver to sit down on the monitor, gave him a cigarette, then pantsed him when he went to jump back in the pit.
I thought I had my Angel Dust one but I was wrong.
Found my old stub from their Sydney 1993 show, touring Angel Dust.
I remember arriving at the venue (The Hordern Pavilion) mid-afternoon and being shocked by large posters declaring "Patton Is A Woman Basher". I met a couple of girls who seemed to know the origin of the claims. Apparently another girl had handcuffed herself to Patton the day before in Wollongong (about an hour south of Sydney). Patton, obviously unhappy about the situation, pushed the girl to the ground. I can't remember if this was while handcuffed, or after being released. Hardly a bashing, but for me, this just added to the excitement of the show.
They played a blistering, aggressive set, which blew everyone away.
Supported by Scary Mother.

I mean Anthony accused Patton of stealing from him, and knowing Mike he could've make it on purpose to tease Kiedis
