I was watching the perfect school episode the other night & the entire episode is a literal flashbang/epileptic nightmare. It’s a very “stormy” episode but god damn ole buddy in charge of the lightening for that episode was spamming that shit. S/o to my epileptics don’t let that episode hold y’all down🫡
The Goosebumps 2023 and the vanishing had some flaws and one of them was the teen drama. It made the show feel more like Riverdale than Goosebumps. I think a easy fix is to have made them the same age as the kids in Stranger Things season 1.
At several Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks, Sally Corp designed many Scooby Doo themed interactive dark rides and almost all of these feature a scene of Scooby Doo scared in bed with a skeletal creature. Could this scene have been inspired by the classic Tim Jacobus art from the Monster Edition of Goosebumps?
While cleaning out my childhood room, I found an old collection of Goosebumps books. The fun and memories of these and the book fairs I got some of them from.
So in the UK, the first 32 books had unique covers. After The Barking Ghost, they reverted to using the US covers within a slime bubble

Anyway, I have this weird memory (nearly 30 years ago) of seeing an notice in my local Waterstones bookshop that the UK cover artist had injured his hand, and there was a competion for someone to draw the cover for The Barking Ghost.
Anyone know anything about this, or is the memory cheating?
Did not realise Goosebumps Funkos were a thing, looks like I’m gonna have to get them all 🙏
I’ve recently started rereading Goosebumps after ages, and I strongly prefer the books written in the first-person perspective. It's something I felt back in the day too. There’s just something about being inside the protagonist’s head that makes me feel way more connected to the story.
For example, I just picked up Say Cheese and Die! and Say Cheese and Die—Again! and was all set to start with the first book. But the moment I saw it was written in third person, I closed it immediately and jumped straight to the sequel, which is in first person. It just felt so much better to me
I have 60/62 of the 1st edition goosebumps books and its been my dream for a really long time to collect them all and get them signed. How can i do this?
I love Goosebumps as I’m sure you do because I grew up with it, and it inspired me a great deal. That being said much of Goosebumps is very silly and does not hold up. Which Goosebumps books (or TV episodes) do you think are genuinely good?
Wouldn’t it be cool if one of the major theme parks had a Goosebumps/Horrorland area?
I recently went to Universal Stufios in LA, and the Harry Potter and Mario lands were amazing. A fun spooky Horrorland area would surely be perfect?
What rides/attractions would you want to see?
I have convinced myselft this would be amazing ?? Think about it, the PS2 and the WII both had the Goosebumps horrorland game, the games are carnival style games to collect tokens, ride rides, and progress through each level. This was practically made for Virtual Reality
Missed opportunity being they didn't incorporate any bit of the OG theme song into the recent reboot opening??
Anyone know?
Curious if anyone might be good for driving.
Thanks
Hey everyone. I can't remember if the episode im thinking of came from Goosebumps or Are You Afraid of the Dark or something else but it's killing me not remembering the episode so I am hoping someone can help.
The episode I'm thinking of involves a boy who is at a camp or something and is chased by a werewolf type creature through the woods just to find out it was a test set up by his parents who were talking about going on a trip just to find out they were going to travel to earth. Also, the werewolf creature was a robot.
Does anyone else remember this or am I going crazy?
So we all have our favorite monsters, our favorite protagonists, etc. But I'm curious who everyone's favorite side character is, and why?
For me, it's got to be the shopkeeper from The Haunted Mask. Especially the episode version, which expanded his characterization as someone who struggled with the same self-loathing as the main character, who made the masks to cover up his "faults", and whose self-hatred caused those masks to become warped. It's just such a dark and fascinating backstory for a character in a kid's show, and it made him a great foil for Carly Beth. In the book he was basically a plot device/exposition dump and nothing else, but in the episode he's actually a very sympathetic and compelling character in his own right.
Only 3 of the 16 books have been translated in our country. I also learned that all the books in the series are connected, but then there are only 3 that would cost like $25 in total. I'd only buy them because they're by Stine, but they look a bit too different from the Goosebumps books. What do you think?
I am curious, would anyone be interested in seeing my goosebumps collection? I have tons of vhs and other collectibles! Some are very rare.
I feel as if this episode doesn’t get enough hype but I absolutely love it. An Old Story…. It’s SO good
