Will trade please help. It's for the penguins, the Australasians.
Which is better? I used to lean March Into the Sea but now I lean more toward Nightendday. Pelican has been in my top 2 favorite bands since they came out and these 2 songs (among many of their others) are rock masterpieces.
They're a good band.
Love this band. I can't wait for the new material.
Anybody else think that the Home Depot was using a version of The Creeper in their theme song? Especially around the 00:15 mark.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=ycPDM8OVqLI
The first time I heard The Creeper, I was think 'I know this song, from a commercial')
I remember hearing a version of Ran Amber but it was played at roughly double speed, and was much lighter than the original.
But searching online now I don’t find anything.
I thought maybe it was a Mono remix but now not so sure. Has anyone else heard of this?
EDIT I FOUND IT https://youtu.be/G2yAgmdDa9Q
Anyone knows where to buy the physical álbum in the form of a cd? I can only found What We All Come To Need through a quick research. Thanks
It would be so good but it will be awhile until we get to go to shows again. Hope you all are doing well and still listening to good music :)

Any tickets for that Pgh show? I waited too long. Help a brother out.
1 or 2 tickets. Anybody got an extra ticket?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70AD5_sKT88&feature=youtu.be Five songs into this show, a new song called "Cold Hope" is played, sounds pretty good =D (sorry if this breaks the piracy rule)
Know it's a long shot but if anyone's going I'll be there. Gonna be an incredible venue to watch these dudes in.
Anyone who listened to Pelican before then knew what a soundscape was by virtual of listening to them. Australasia was the first album I ever listened to that felt like a painting coming alive through the sonic medium.
I listen to a fair amount of instrumental artists. Quite a few of those artists are of the same vein as Pelican, having that same level of power and just... Raw energy in every song. Some suggestions include: If These Trees Could Talk, Maybeshewill, and Helios. Please, leave any artist suggestions below, and discuss amongst yourselves. Also. Um. Happy late Thanksgiving guys.
I love Pelican. Been listening to them since the self-titled EP. I remember many nights of blazing up and falling asleep to the sweet sounds of Mammoth. Good stuff. This band still rocks (and I wish I could've eaten that Pelican burger there was that one time).
I'm really asking the question out of curiosity. I have accumulated multiple copies and the surface noise on each is terrible during the quiet sections. Especially the new repress I have; they really screwed those up. Does anyone's have great sound that blows them away? Wondering if I should hold out hope or accept that this album has yet to get a high quality pressing.
