"I think when you feel hopeless, the most dangerous thing for a human being is hopelessness, I think, you know? And when you feel hopeless, then you see those doors closing. You don't see the light at the end of the tunnel," he explained.

Anyone else hear this? I’m not going crazy right.
I actually seen them 6 times total, including the final concert in Detroit and once when they and Blind Melon opened for Neil Young. For all the fans, which show would you choose and why?

So...
I'm 24 and a huge music head, and fell in love with grunge and alternative rock maybe 5 or so years ago, and Soundgarden, and Chris Cornell at large, was the artist that really got me hooked.
For the longest time though, I've focused on Badmotorfinger, post-Badmotorfinger Soundgarden, and everything else by Cornell. Today at the gym though, I've been getting really into listening to albums in their entirety and listened to Louder Than Love for the first time from front to back...
For one, fantastic album, I feel silly for not doing this earlier. But also... I knew the song Full On Kevin's Mom, but had never heard the song Full On until today...
Is Louder Than Love just a symphony to Chris Cornell's friend Kevin's milf mom? Like, I'm sensing a theme here that I didn't earlier... Hands All Over, Gun, Get On The Snake, Full On Kevin's Mom, Louder Love, Big Dumb Sex, Full On.... Like it's literally ALL about fucking, from front to back! Most of the song names are at the least innuendos, and many are very forward with their deeper meaning... And just about all the songs have super sexual lyrics at least at some point (Guns - "Shoot Shoot... Push Push... Push Push Push... Yeah yeah oh oh oh oh yeahhhh")...
Do we know who this mysterious "Kevin" is, or even more importantly, his hot mom that inspired this amazing album? And do you guys think Chris fucked Kevin's mom, and was inspired by it, or was this album supposed to break the ice and soak Kevin's mom's panties?
Also, do we know when and why the tone changed? Like Cornell went from seemingly wrote a whole album about fucking some milf and then every album afterwards is among the most depressing music around (which I'm fine with), but what a difference.
I've gotta know... I stopped working out to join this sub and type this post to try and find answers. I may not sleep tonight if I can't find the truth...
Thanks all! I hope somebody knows the truth...
The first time I saw this photo was in 2002 soon after Layne died and this was at his memorial service. I immediately recognized Jerry as well as Chris but have never been able to figure out if this was David Draiman from Disturbed.

Audioslave much more mature musically and lyrically. Soundgarden great and full of younger anger musically and lyrically, more of a hope we can make a change in the world. Both amazing but I’m on Audioslave shuffle for many many days and it blows me away.
The most upvoted comment will have their song added onto the playlist.
I don’t know if this has been pointed out or discussed before, but I was looking at the lyrics for No Attention that’s on the poster in my DOTUS record and noticed that the lyrics in the second verse seem a bit… off?
Because listening to the song, I have always thought Chris sung ‘Say what you want, suck on my life…’ and I have just noticed that the lyrics aren’t like that on the poster.
It might’ve been a known typo or something like that but I’m just wondering if these are the official lyrics or if it’s just a mistake on the labels part.
Who else is willing to admit to thrashing around the room like a demented idiot* when this song is playing?
Definitely an under-rated Soundgarden song and one of my favorites. Whenever I need to get some aggressive energy out, this is the first song on deck.
*these days I gotta modify this a little so I don't throw something out haha. But I still go pretty hard.

These past few days, to help myself making my mind a busy place, I picked up a music playlist that I was working on, and went and looked all across the YT and my own saved songs, and finished it.
Done.
Name is large as hell, but that's because I love silly ass long titles for my YT playlists.

This song is so fucking cool lol idk why
Decided to get this on vinyl, not disappointed.
Chris did an acoustic cover that I found last month while I was on my nightly walk. I love finding new gems like these. It may not be new but the fact I am just now finding certain songs I haven't heard from my favorite musician makes me very happy. A few musicians have covered this song as well including Johnny Cash and Jeff buckley. Plz give this one a listen and let me know what you think.
Shoutouts to Alain Johannes and Natasha Schneider
Both in his upper and lower register. Almost sounds identical.
i want to do research myself because i doubt they were even involved in making it, however im tired of seeing this conspiracy go around that they didn’t kill themselves so i want to know how to disprove this.

I absolutely love this solo. It complement's Chris' vocals so well and is just composed so brilliantly. The guitar is truly weeping in this one. Kim you fucking legend.
