It's looking like 94 points get you into the playoffs in the east this year (it might even be slightly less based on current projections). If that holds, the Isles need 41 points from 32 remaining games. So something like 18-9-5. If the cutoff drops to 90 points which is closer to current projections for all teams in the race, they need 37 points from 32 games. So like 16-11-5.

I'm flying over from UK in few and wanted to go see the Isles, so I bought tickets from Stubhub to the Feb 23 game against the Stars, but I still haven't received the tickets as it says "Tickets for this event haven’t been released yet. The seller will send your tickets as soon as they are."

Last time I bought tickets I got them pretty much immediately, but that time it was about week before I came over. This time it seems like the seller is taking their sweet time or is this normal?

Do you guys know when are tickets usually released by Ticketmaster (or other providers) so they could be transferred?

If I'm reading the information correctly, the Cap is going to be going up pretty significantly in the next 3-4 years. The Islanders have historically not been a great Cap team so I'm curious what we all think will happen.

• With the new arena and some credibility returning to the franchise, how do we feel about going up against other teams for FAs?
• Does this change anything regarding whether or not we try and keep Nelson or any other pending FAs in the next 1-2 years?
• Do we sit for the first year or so to allow other teams to overspend to swoop in and get bargains or do we take the lead and start throwing money?

It's going to be interesting to see what happens. I think if anything some of the big FAs in the next 2-3 years may not be available as their current teams will have Cap room to sign them if they plan well.
