Not much on the Internet about it. I found it by accident in a local store.
Someone commented this trick on an earlier post of mine and i tried it out. It severely limited paint bleeding beneath the tape. and is looking sharp, whilst the top of the funnel looks pretty shitty by comparison.
I definetly can recommend this technique, its also not that much more work than not doing it.
Now this yellow doesn’t even seem to come close, which makes me think it needs mixing. Though I didn’t see that in the instructions, but also what methods do people use to mix? I’m extremely new to all painting.
If so, can you tell me the finished dimensions? I've tried searching, but only get box dimensions, instead of the actual model kit dimensions.
Thank you in advance
Evening all, a question regarding building ships.
Starting my first ever ship today (Hobby Boss's 1/350 Dunkerque) and i've picked up an after market wooden deck to spice it up. I'm not sure how far to go with assembly before i should install it. From youtube videos it seems that many people put the lower hull and deck together, leaving the superstructure and various extra bits seperate for painting.
Should i install the wood deck and mask it off before i paint the hull assembly? Or should i paint the hull first then install the decking?
Can't find any concrete answers, seems like every video going over the install does not cover the painting.
He guys I am almost ready for my first build (using a cheap AliExpress airbrush). It will be the Ducati 916 Tamiya kit. In the instructions it says, for the body, to use TS-8 or X-7. I have ordered the X-7 red acrylic one but now I am in doubt if this will give it a good 1 to 1 -ish red color. Is there anyone who has experience with this? I can't seem to find any good info using Google :) thx!
Edit: I have found this article of a Ferrari build using the X-7 red Tamiya color as a base coat. Looks pretty perfect for Ducati also. What do you think?
Heeeelp, this is bothering me a lot, the right wing of my hornet is point downwards, any way to fix it? Thanks 👍🏻
