It's my first time making a Ma.k kit, specifically the GroßerHund Moon Type Vega. My background is in gunpla so I was kinda confused when I saw that you had to drill holes in order to fit some pieces to the model.
I assumed that it was just up to the modeler to know where to drill, unaware that there were indents on the inside of the piece that would direct you exactly where to drill.
I found this out a few hours ago, but also a few hours after I glued 2 pieces together that needed holes drilled. I've already tried prying the two halves apart but they're set rock solid, I can barely see the inside from a gap in the armor but have no way to reach it.
Am I cooked and just need to eye the placement? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
These are at auction now, and going for a dirt cheap price… 👻

Hey folks,
I had an idea. Since we see those yellow ID bands on SDR suits & vehicles, I looked at the actual theater bands used on WWII aircraft (which Kow Sensei uses as a major influence). Here's what I came up with:
North/West Europe/UK/Ireland = Royal Purple
N. America/Greenland/Iceland = Royal Blue
E. Europe/Asia = Blood Red
S. Pacific/Australia/New Zealand = Yellow
Afrika = White
Central/S. America = Bright Yellow-Green
Antarctica = Day-Glo Orange
Just received a batch of models, can't wait to start a new journey. Hopefully they won't lie that long in the pile of shame. Btw they seem more friendly than the Hund. Any advice on assembling?
Started on the groundwork 😄
Hey guys, I'm a first timer coming from Gundam Franchise building a GroBer Hund. Although I'm thoroughly enjoying the process (especially the weathering etc.) I feel like its a tough build. Specifically for the following reasons: Pieces don't seem flush; despite sanding and pre-fitting some pieces seem made to just be glued without a snap- or well fitting connection. This is specifically apparent to me in the shoulder and chest section, leading to some frustrating moments to me.
It also seems like the cement I use makes some of the parts too brittle to firmly connect after painting (I airbrushed separate to fix together in the end)
Like I said in the beginning, my focus lies in Gunpla which has led me to believe Bandai's Gundam range (upper tier builds) are much more intuitive. So I want to ask you guys if there is a point in what I'm saying or if I need to double down and improve skill?
Tl;dr: Ma. K. build seems unintuitive at times. Are the kits problematic or is this a pure skill issue?
Chipping in progress 😄
Sadly, I lost the instructions and WSDs during my move back to the family home. Hard copy preferred but scans will work too. TIA
Wrapped up the Ammoknight today and really enjoyed the build and paint process. I pushed myself to go in a brighter, higher contrast scheme than I usually apply. I think it came out well and makes quite the visual statement.
Hello,
I'm am really new to Ma.K and I was wondering about the various power suits in the model kit line.
Looking at them, I can't quite tell if they would actually fit the human body? Does anyone else kinda of see this too?
Is it me, or are the joints on the mech suits off in relation to the human body?
My first Ma.k kit will be the Fireball S.
Thanks and just want to see what the community thought.
Happy Modeling! J
I’m currently weathering a RACCOON and am a bit puzzled by the engine section. Particularly regarding which part is the exhaust… Anyone who can provide some wisdom??

Point me in the right direction with respect to the history or purpose of the Maschinen Krieger Nutcracker, assuming there is any. Most refer to it as a hover “tank.” However, my sense is that its purpose is primarily reconnaissance or patrol duty, since it is not heavily armed but, instead, includes a variety of antenna and scanning apparatus (I’m thinking like “cav scout”). I’m not very familiar with the subject but have several interesting display ideas for Hasegawa’s scale model in 1/35. Any feedback would be welcomed.
By golly I really want to build something in 1/20 scale now :D
