  • Follow reddiquette. Treat others with basic decency. No personal attacks, Threats of violence, shill accusations, hate-speech, flaming, baiting, trolling, witch-hunting, or unsubstantiated accusations. This will result in a permanent ban.
  • No reposts, low-effort, trolling or NSFW content. Submissions deemed to be nonsensical, poorly written, excessively vulgar, obscene, or common will be removed at the moderators' discretion. This includes troll posts or comments with swearing, ranking threads, and conspiracy theories. Posts must also be in English.
  • No clickbait, vague, or misleading post titles. Posts should have titles that properly convey what the post is about, as well as being logical without any context. Posts that link to articles or videos should contain the original source title within its title.
  • No sales, affiliate links, or begging posts. Links that, when clicked (or used to purchase/sign up from), give the referrer some form of bonus or compensation are not allowed. For B/T/S posts, please visit /r/DisneyMarketplace.

Would you consider the Reluctant Dragon a full length animated movie?

On the wikipedia it is listed but I watched it and it does not seem long enough to be considered a full length movie. What are your thoughts?

Regular Ticket Holders and Special Event Nights

Seems that Disneyland is doing more and more special event nights where the park closes earlier. Way more than in years past. If a person buys a ticket for the day of the event, why do they pay the same price when they are shorted two hours and if they go to CA it will be twice as crowded? Doesn't seem right.

While I'm on a roll, it is disgusting to me that with the expensive ticket, then adding on genie+ , one still has to pay an extra 40+ dollars to ride on Radiator Springs Racers. Forget that.

And another thing....a family member bought a light saber. It was a $200 sith handle and they gave him a blue led blade. He discovered this back at the hotel after opening the box. A sith blade is red, not blue. Luckily we are still going to the park tomorrow so he will try to exchange it but again, what the heck?

Green ID valid

I stopped working on Disney property about 2 1/2 months ago. But I still have my green employee ID, I wanted to see how long it would be valid for and if I could still use the discounts and self admission pass. Anyone know how the process works?

The Great Mouse Detective

I have a new favorite movie, The great mouse detective, I love Basil's stubbornness and willingness to not give up on a case, I love Dawson for his caring nature and fatherly personality towards Olivia, and of course, Olivia, she's the cutest little thing and funny, my favorite part being her interactions with Toby and that he only listens to her. I laughed at the thought of how the mice and rats get their items, clothing, pipes, cigars/cigarettes and tobacco, I believe they scurry around London, gathering up these things without being seen, but of course, it's a Disney movie, we never see or think about where they get such things. I wish they expanded on the story however, like a tv series or sequel, because that would be cute, but, that's up to the writers. Anywhoo, I joined this wholesome sub Reddit to talk about one of my favorite franchises, and might share some fan art, who knows.. See you later, old chaps! 🥰

Question about an old Mickey Mouse comic...

Hi everyone! I have this childhood memory of a Disney comic that I read some 20 years ago. No idea what's the premise of it (might have been detective themed), but I do distinctly remember Mickey running into Mick Jagger and calling him the singer of "Crawling Stones". Anyone have any idea of where this might have been?

Art by Walter Disney

I'm having kind of a hard time finding any art or things related to Walter because Google thinks I'm looking for the company.

Long story short, I'm looking for specifically any artbook or maybe scenes animated by Walter Disney if any.

I'm not a huge Disney fan but I grew up watching the movies and I've been really getting into collecting art books.

Celebratory Disney Sketches Part 1

I know Disney’s 100th Anniversary was last year but I don’t care I did this late. In celebration of the anniversary, I decided to make drawings of every Disney film era-by-era. Naturally I started at the beginning with the Golden Age. Feel free to share your thoughts on my sketches.

Ideas for the Next LEGO "Mini Disney" Set?

I'm a huge fan of the LEGO mini Disney sets. With the recent release of Sleeping Beauty Castle, I'm wondering what would make great set ideas for future entries?

For castles, I think my top choice would be a mini Elsa's Ice Palace from Frozen. A mix of a lot of translucent blue and white pieces could come together for a really cool look. There's a larger mini-doll set (43244) coming out July 1. A mini scale version would be awesome.

If we expand beyond castles, some ideas:

  • Mini Pride Rock for The Lion King

  • Mini "Up" House (shrink down 43217)

  • Mini Madrigal House

They've also released a few parks related sets, so you could also do other icons like Spaceship Earth (Epcot), Hollywood Tower Hotel (Hollywood Studios), or the Tree of Life (Animal Kingdom).

What are your thoughts on what should / could be the next mini Disney set?

^^^^^^^^.

Existing Sets

Mini Disney Castles:

  • Mini Disney (Cinderella) Castle (40478)
  • Mini Sleeping Beauty Castle (40720)
  • Mini Ariel's Castle (40708)
  • Mini Palace of Agrabah (40613)

Other Mini Disney Sets:

  • Mini The Haunted Mansion (40521)
  • Mini Steam Boat Willie (40659)

Mini Marvel / Star Wars Sets:

  • Mini Avengers Tower (40334)
  • Mini Death Star II (40591)

Also, not sure if it counts or not, but Peter Pan & Wendy's Flight over London (43232) is kinda the same size / scale as other mini Disney sets
