It's been MONTHS and D+ is still having issues with the gift card site, every time I put my gift card info in I can only get to the "agree and subscribe" page and once I click the agree button it tells me to "check cvv" of which there obviously isn't one. Talked to an agent a week ago and she said "try again in a few days! We're working on it!" Girl it's been MONTHS wtf is taking so long? (It's a physical gift card I have btw)

So I used the Disney Movie Insiders promo code for 3 free months of Hulu/Disney/ESPN with ads. I had six weeks left. My experience with subscription promos has always been that if you cancel, you continue to have access until the next billing date. I went through the steps to cancel the bundle. It said you will keep your access until the next billing date, unless you have Hulu Live, in which case you will lose access immediately.

I was surprised to find a few hours later that my access had been cut off.

So if anyone else is doing the three month promo, don't cancel it until you are done using it. I contacted customer support and they said there is nothing they can do about it.

Thanks to a strike by Canada Post, my final rewards that shipped on Nov 12 finally arrived today. Towards the end, I just redeemed what I had for two movies that I only had on DVD and upgraded them to Blu-ray, and glad I did because they wiped all physical rewards shortly after. I can’t even remember how many rewards I received over the years, but I appreciate each one - I think my favourite ones were the colour changing umbrella and set of Mickey statues, along with several Jim Shore figurines. ❤️

The new Daredevil: Reborn poster image is pretty damn slick. such a shame that DMI is done and we don’t have a chance at getting it via reward points. RIP DMI! 😥

How do I redeem the digital copy of my Aladdin signature edition as one of my final rewards that just came in? Because redeem digital movies anywhere does not Work in Canada?

I redeemed all my points toward the end of October. But one of my Mystery-3 bundles got stuck in a processing state and was never fulfilled. I tried reaching out to several Disney support groups but none of them knew how I could reach anyone who can look into this. Does anyone know how I can contact someone who can?

Backstory is that Canada's website removed all their listings for physical media near the middle of November because of our stupid national post service going on strike. I was left with 8,300 points and since they removed all listings, there was nothing to redeem. I decided to just change the account location and address to USA to try and get the mystery bundles. Redeemed Pixar/Disney 3 pack on Nov 25, mailed it to a parcel forwarder to get it through the border, and I just received today in Canada.

Seems my gamble paid off since I got Elemental 4k in Canada now. I'll probably give away the nemo collection/Toy story 3 since I own them already. The other 5.3k points I just redeemed for a total of $40 USD gift cards (if I redeemed it on Canadian side, I'd received CAD gift cards instead) and found someone to purchase them from me.

While this question is just out of curiosity, was anyone of the few still here actually able to redeem the Disney+ $30 gift card for a standard $30 worth of credit on the Disney Store website like someone here suggested that they were able to do?

After reading the suggestion about 5 weeks ago I really should have used the minimal amount of points for that reward if it did work on the store website but it never returned.

I never received an email that DMI was sun setting. I remember getting the Disney+ 50 points emails. I even searched and I don't see an email about anything else.

Looks like redemption ended Dec 4th and "care" ended on 17th. Has anyone reached out to get some sort of credit/gift cards as of now? It sucks as I had about 8000 points that I last remembered I was saving for D23 Gold.

EDIT: Question is more on if anyone had found a way to redeem now, not about how they communicated the end of life. I never had the app or logged into website in a while. Don't follow any disney things on social media. Never received any emails other than monthly Disney+ point credits. Nothing in spam.

I am still super sad about the closing of DMI. It was the only rewards program I was a part of and was curious if anyone any others that are still opened? I know Sony had one that is also closing down but are there any active ones still?

Mystery final rewards finally came in the mail after nearly 5 weeks of waiting! Bummer I already have a few of them. Anyone in the group want to trade?

I finally was able to use my final gift card from DMI. Started saving up for this since early this year. This was a great Christmas meal I was able to share with family. Thank you DMI. I can finally say a proper goodbye.

Not that it matters much at this point, but I found the answer. It turns out that a third-party email service called Proofpoint, used by Disney and other major corporations to authenticate emails they send out to customers, was hacked last year. (Update: Or you can substitute the word "breached" or "exploited" if using the h-word to describe this particular unauthorized system usage somehow bothers you, lol.) This allowed the spammers to send any spam they wanted to in an email pretending to be from Disney (or other big companies), with the security authentication indicators that normally can't be spoofed.

Security researchers didn't discover the hack (or "breach" or "exploit") until months later (and some thought it started in January 2024, but the DMI Temu emails were a clear example of this in December 2023). They called it "EchoSpoofing". AFAIK none of the affected companies (not just Disney) ever bothered to say anything to their customers; I guess they figured it was easily overlooked among all the other types of spam people get.
