Mine is Randall being Andy’s monster.
Reasons:
In Monsters Inc, Randall is seen practicing camouflage against a background that looks just like the walls in Andy’s old room.
In Toy Story 3, we see a sign on Andy’s closet with a picture of a creature that looks like Randall.
The third clue comes from the official Monsters University college website where a door that looks just like Andy’s is spotted.
As a child I was scared of the bird. Something about her wail and her eyes.
If they wanna make a third movie I believe that it should be with boo and have her grown up looking for Mike and Sullivan. They made a prequel so why not a sequel and not with just the monsters but with the character that had a huge impact.
It's that time of the month again; Ranking Time! To keep the subreddit less cluttered with everyone and their mom's rankings, we're going to use this thread specifically for the community to post their rankings.
So here we go! Post your rankings, tell what your favorites are and why, etc! Just remember, while you may not agree with a user's list, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, they don't have to explain their choices to you if they don't want to, and there are no wrong answers. Everything is subjective. SO PLAY NICE! ;)
Here's a template list of all of the movies in case you need them:
The thread will be updated after each release, so make sure you check back so you can provide an updated list.
I just bought the roundup fun woody that came out in 2022 so I added him to my collection with Toy Story Collection woody and Disney Store woody
After rewatching this movie recently I realized something that's not really talked about alot in the movie. In both Monsters Inc and Monsters University they always imply how vital it is for the 'Scarers' to not touch any human clothing or toys. They take is so seriously that the whole '23-19' thing over a simple sock requires an entire swat force to dispose of it. It's played off as a joke to the audience, but I think the Monsters fears of human items and children is very justified.
Imagine if we as humans found a portal to an alternate world filled with intelligant life with creatures who biology was completely different from ours. Do you honestly think it would be a good idea to touch anything not know what exactly it was? Not to mention the most importantly the high probability of contracting some sort of alien virus and bringing it back to your world and spreading it. Something like that could honestly wipe out humanity as we know it, all from a kid sneezing on you or a simple sock. So yeah, calling in a '23-19' is more than justified for anything that could cause a catastrophe if not taken seriously. Heck, even the trained 'Scarers' who's job it is to go into these doors and collect the screams do their very best to dodge anything on the floor they may step on and never actually touch the kids at all. They just get in and get out as fast and efficiently as possible while getting the job done, it is a very serious and dangerous job from the Monster's perspectives that needs to be done for society to run the way it does.
It also has moving body parts
I swear, all this time, I thought the starfish was a guy.
Was Good Dinosaur boring ?
Elio in 2025: If this is good would you want a sequel to it ?, and please don’t bring up how Pixar has been focusing too much on sequels because they really haven’t, majority of their stuff is original, the only films that have sequels are Toy Story, Cars, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles,Inside Out, and Monsters Inc if that even counts as it’s a prequel, do you want a sequel to Elio if it’s good ?
Does anyone feel like Pixar should stick to formulaic storytelling instead of making equals just for the sake of pandering?
Note- Finding Dory is a great sequel tho but Toy Story 5 and Incredibles 3 seem unnecessary because of our mixed feelings about Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 3. Usually, the only ones that are hyping are insecure Disney adults- the teaser of Buzz for Toy Story 5 is giving audiences 'do me' eyes.
The formula that I'm talking about is originally from Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and Monsters Inc. because there are similar tropes that are associated with Pixar since it is handled very well. I'm a huge fan of those three because I grew up with it.
I'm not a huge fan of where Pixar is going for unnecessary Toy Story sequels [and incredible sequels too] as for me it feels like is made for generic by-the-numbers nostalgia bait.
Don't get me the wrong idea as I love Turning Red and Luca as it has similar storytelling from 2000s Pixar especially since I heard that all of my fav Pixar films are personal stories that adults find relatable.
What I'm going for is Pixar should say making wholesome multigeneration stories for the whole family just like Pixar that I grew up with. This is why I would love to see Elio because this is coming from 2000s Pixar fan
Not a perfect movie but I’m fine for what it is, I hope Incredibles 3 do the same thing in the future.
For whatever reason, last week I felt the need to rewatch Luca on Disney+. (I own the blu-ray, but sometimes it's just easier to pull up the app.) Anyway, it's one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time; I currently rank it at #5. I think this time was the third time I've watched it from start to finish. As I'm sure is the case for most of you, most Pixar movies give me the feels, and Luca is no different. Last night, though, was the first time I actually cried during it. I didn't just cry; I ugly cried! It started when Alberto admitted to Luca he sold the Vespa to get the train ticket, got even worse when he said he was going to stay behind, and by the time they were hugging goodbye, I was officially bawling. I don't know why it got to me so much. Maybe it was because I had a massive headache. Maybe it was because I'm still very upset that I thought I was going to meet Jack Dylan Grazer (the voice of Alberto, in case anyone didn't know) at a convention next weekend, but he canceled. (Luca isn't the only reason I wanted to meet him, btw.) Maybe I realized I want to go to Italy a lot more than I ever convinced myself I did.
...Or maybe I'm just a ginormous sap who just gets very emotional at the thought of two little sea monster boys becoming best friends.
That's all. You can go about your day.
