Hi folks! LOVE the packaging for the Incredibles 2 score on vinyl - is there a version of the score for the first film that isn’t the picture record? Ie, one with an actual (nice) cover sleeve?
Thunderclap and his gang only started to antagonize Arlo when they realized he was protecting Spot. But prior that there were was no reason for them to even bother him.
Personally, I would rewrite the intro because it was so loud and distracting from the plot
Mostly the music, the epilogue, and showing Radiator Spring back on the map. Also “Find Yourself” is very emotional.
probably one of my new favorite pixar movies now it’s just that peak
and yes I did cry 3 different times
George got his bandage peeled and he’s still smiling.
If you think about it Sulley has body proportions and shape that are quite humanoid and so more familiar, normal and natural to us. Conversely Mike's sphere shape is quite unnatural for a bipedal life form and besides that he has no fuzzy fur that many associate with a comforting stuffed animal but just... skin?! The enormous eye that takes up much of his skull and his pacman style mouth make for a truly unsettling overall impression if you ask me. Where are his other internal organs? His anatomy must be really otherworldly and alien. IMO if he was a bit larger the audience wouldn't buy that he is supposed to be an unscary monster.
I re watched it and it’s not bad, the visuals are really good. And the idea of them being spy’s isn’t the worst thing they can produce
Monsters Inc released in theaters two decades ago, and grossed to be about $580 million at the worldwide box office and $291 million at the US box office with only a budget of 115 million dollars.
Celebrities like Tom Holland, Billie Eilish, and Chris Pratt sights’ the film as some of their favorites, and respected critics like Roger Ebert and A.O Scott giving the film positive reviews along with audience members.
Everyone I asked their favorite Pixar movie was, that wasn’t Toy Story related, was either Up, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, or, you guessed it, Monsters, Inc.
Hell, even my own dad said Monsters, Inc was better than the original Toy Story, and honestly, I can really see that perspective.
As my own opinion? I still think Toy Story is only just a tiny bit better, but a bias plays into role between the two films, as they’re in the top 5 of my favorite animated films, after all.
Speaking of Toy Story,
I might as well ask while I’m here, I’m interested;
which friendship was the better written between Mike and Sulley, and Woody and Buzz?
I'll go first
