Songs significantly altered by the muppets

One of my favorite muppet show songs is Windmills of Your Mind, simply because of how different a rendition is is from the regular version of that song. I was hoping people here could help me fond other muppet performances for which this is also the case

In Muppets Monster Adventure, why did they choose Gonzo to be the vampire instead of, y'know, the count?

When do you think we'll get season 4 on DVD?

They've had the DVD cover for years and yet still haven't released the actual DVD yet lol

Kermit Scrunch: How To

https://preview.redd.it/vyjrgx4rbg8d1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=1572397ff889ee349e7cc636e4bc498af431d9a0

Since the Kermit the Frog puppet has very little inside its head, it is able to convey a wide array of emotions with just a few subtle movements of the fingers. One such expression is the Kermit scrunch, used to evoke a reaction of disappointment, embarrassment, disgust, and discontentment. https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Kermit_scrunch

Since he does ALL the time (I guess being in charge of a studio is HARD.) I want to do it, but here's the thing, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT!!! Since https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Kermit_scrunch only says THIS: There are usually two visual examples of this emotion. One is made when the performer simply lowers their fingertips inside his head, pushing the front of Kermit's mouth downward. Another is to repeat this while raising one or more of the fingers inside and pushing it toward the front of the head, forming a visible wrinkle just above Kermit's mouth. Moving the fingers far apart or scrunching them up can give Kermit a more dramatic grimace whenever the scene (or the frog's life problems) call for it. so.. is THIS it?

P.S Could you please comment answers and post videos how you do it?

Where is the Henson exhibit tour now?

I don't mean the exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image (as someone recently posted). I mean touring exhibit, The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited. The most recent thing I can find is that it was in Maryland until December 2023. Does anyone know?

Turn the world around

I have a number of Muppet shirts but this one might be my new favorite. I have always loved the Harry Belafonte episode (also probably my favorite episode) and this song always gets me. I am so glad that it touched somebody else as much as it touched me, or at least it touched them enough to make a shirt out of it.

What are your favorite Muppet shirts?

What are these guys called?

They appear in Muppet Christmas Carol and general here and there in crowd scenes and I love them but have no idea if they have a name or are referred to as anything specific (I call them fleas myself)

Why wasn't Dinosaurs syndicated as much as other sitcoms like Boy Meets World and Full House?

Was it because of rights issues? Was it because there wasn't as many episodes? It had 65 episodes, which was the minimum amount for syndication back then

I know it's a Disney show with Henson involvement, but so was Boy Meets World and that still gets syndicated

Dinosaurs hasn't been seen on TV since Disney Channel aired reruns of it in 1997 to 2000

The original Addams Family has had reruns air more recently and that had just as many episodes

Why wasn't Dinosaurs on say, ABC Family or Nick at Nite or TV Land or any other channel that aired sitcoms?

Is there a reason why the Muppet Babies reboot is nicer than the original?

The original had characters getting into arguments and bickering at times and they didn't always fully learn their lessons. The reboot always has a lesson thats fully learned at the end and there's a lot less arguing and bickering

I find it really interesting how Disney Channel used to air a lot of Muppet content

Back when they were a premium network, they reran both of the Fraggle Rock shows, the animated and the puppet one and the network even had exclusive series from the Henson company like The Secret Life of Toys and Mother Goose Stories. They also aired several movies and specials from the company like Big Bird in China, Big Bird in Japan, Follow that Bird, Muppets Take Manhattan, The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, Muppet Christmas Carol, John Denver and Muppets: A Christmas Together, Dark Crystal, Don't Eat the Pictures: Sesame Street at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Fantastic Miss Piggy Show, Frog Prince, Hey Cinderella!, Labyrinth, Muppets at Walt Disney World, and Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson

When the channel rebranded and was slowly transitioning to a basic cable network and got into more and more homes as a basic cable network in the late 90s, they aired Muppet Treasure Island and they still aired a couple of the movies and specials that aired on the channel prior to the rebrand like Follow that Bird and The Muppet Movie. When it comes to shows, none of the shows they aired were airing on the channel anymore by 1997. They got rid of Secret Life of Toys reruns at the beginning of 1997, Mother Goose Stories and the original Fraggle Rock were removed in September 1996, and the Fraggle Rock cartoon had been gone since the summer of 1995

In the fall of 1997, Disney Channel added three Henson series. Reruns of Dinosaurs, Muppets Tonight, and a brand new show, Bear in the Big Blue House. With Muppets Tonight, Disney Channel aired every episode, including the episodes that never aired on ABC. Disney always had rights to Dinosaurs which is why it's on Disney+, but Henson company was involved

As time went on, Henson stuff became less common. Muppets Tonight was removed in the summer of 1999 and Dinosaurs was slowly being phased out by being on really early in the morning in the summer of 1999 before being removed in May 2000. For a while, Bear in the Big Blue House was the only Henson series on Disney Channel aside from the rare time a movie or special would air like when Muppets from Space aired on the channel in the early 2000s

Does anyone actually remember anything about the 80s Muppet Babies cartoon?

It seems like people only remember it for having the footage from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, Three Stooges, and many more which is the reason why it's not available on any streaming services, why it wasn't really on DVD, and why it hasn't been on TV in decades. So much copyright footage

Well folks. The 2010 movie is gonna age...

Not even turning it into a museum. Incredibly stupid move to just sell it like that

What do you think is the best and worst moments from the original Muppet Movie?

Just got done watching it in theaters for the first time and I’m curious what everyone thinks. For me, I think the Mrs Piggy and Kermit date scene is a bit outdated and boring. I hope that something better comes along is pretty outdated but still really good. As for best, the entire ending once they getting Hollywood is amazing. Seeing the rainbow come in the studio always gives me cold chills.
