With 57.1% a very merry muppet Christmas comes in 7th place Vote for the worst muppet film
gonzo looking dapper
Muppets or Muppets: Most Wanted didn’t have a decent Rizzo role
Why not?
I was watching this fantastic relic and was wondering if this was someone famous or just a lucky guest on the day of filming.
So I have recently come in to possession of a “wish you a merry piggy” tonner FAO Schwartz exclusive doll There is very little information online about her there is only about 100 made If anyone has any info on this doll please let me know!
Side note I didn’t even realize how rare these are until I got home after I bought it I just thought it was pretty! I got it for a steal apparently !
To celebrate 55 years of Sesame Street, I decided to draw these characters in the Fairly OddParents! style. It was hard and yes, I consider Kermit a part of the core main cast even if he’s not on the show no more.
#KermitonSesameStreetwasrad
I think the main four Muppets are quite obvious. Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo. I find the conversation about the next in line quite interesting. I'd say originally Rowlf, but over depending on era Scooter, Rizzo and Animal could all stake a claim.
Fozzie and Gonzo right? Can’t decide about Piggy.
I've been watching videos of Miss Piggy on Martha Stewart and Regis and it feels like a lot of improv between Piggy and the host. Did they follow a general script or prompt (to follow a recipe, for example) and improvise as needed? To improvise comedy on the spot is a real talent that you can't really learn and both of Miss Piggy's performers are great at it
I watched Muppets Haunted Mansion in Spanish this morning, and the first word Pepe said was "Oui," then he continued to speak French whenever he spoke Spanish in the English version. I'm not sure if this applies to any other Muppet projects; I don't recall this being the case in the 2015 show or Muppets Now. Either way, his accent didn't change much. Very interesting.
This album breaks my heart every year with nostalgia. I remember being very little, sitting in an old attic listening to this on a record player while playing with my train set.
Anybody here who remembers this?

Do we know if at any point of pre production on the movie, the character of Sarah had another name? I'm writing a short story about my relationship with David Bowie and I am starting by my first watch of Labyrinth but I would like to go full on fiction and try some other names. In case we don't have that info or she was always Sarah, what other name would you give her?
Hi all, I've recently been to the only 3 I know of, which are:
Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, NY
Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, GA
Travelling Henson Exhibit , currently in Peoria, IL
I long for more. I wish there was a permanent location with ALL of them... like hundreds. Could this one day be a thing? How do I keep in touch with future plans of this nature, and future exhibits? Seeing them in person is such a special experience.
I've heard there are some at the Smithsonian, but I've also heard some say it's only Kermit and Piggy now. Are there any other locations currently to see vintage muppet puppets? Luckily I caught the Atlanta exhibit during the Fraggle Rock special period, where they had an extra wing full of FR stuff. There is a lot of overlap in the 3 listed above , in terms of characters.
I'm sad that I've seen all available right now... I'll just have to go back to Atlanta and Queens and hope they have added something new. The Queens exhibit currently has all the SNL Land Of Gorch puppets, which they said aren't always on display there.
Hey folks, im Tori, and I do a lot of weird polls in the muppet fandom, and im currently doing my weirdest yet!
Sexiest Muppet Alive!!! The poll is currently up now! and will be live till 11pm est on 11/14/24 so vote away! Ill post the results here sometime tomorrow!
Another one added for our Random Muppets Painting project, where we hit the "random Muppet" button on the Muppet Wiki, and add them to the painting.
Today we added Otto the Grouch, a resident of Grouchytown. He appeared in 2 episodes of Sesame Street, episode 2538, where Otto was on a tour of Sesame Street hosted by Oscar. And then episode 2648, where Otto guides members of Sesame Street around Grouchytown.
Miss Piggy, Kermit and Fozzie also had cars.
Now that the 70th anniversary is well underway, what would you like to see from The Muppets in 2025? Personally I'd absolutely flip if we got a new original (as in a new story, not an adaptation or remake of anything preexisting) theatrical muppet movie, of course that's not gonna happen but a guy can dream.
In reality I'd be really happy with reissues of all the out of print soundtracks, especially Manhattan and the Rowlf album Ol' Brown Ears Is Back, both of which original copies of are insanely expensive. Physical releases of Haunted Mansion and Muppets Mayhem would be awesome, as well as rereleases of things like Family Christmas, Classic Theatre, etc.
Just found out about this for the first time and wanted to go but the VIP sold out. Does anyone know how often they do this show in LA?
