I need a new theatrical muppet film.
I was remembering the post I saw about Muppets in classic movies and at the same time was watching some clips from Muppet Christmas Carol.
I was struck by the amusing idea of having the Swedish Chef appear in that movie (or something Victorian-set) as the friendly owner of "Swedish Todd's Barber Shop".
He'd just be shaving customers while talking in gibberish and not doing anything obviously sinister. And next door to the barbershop, you'd have Prairie Dawn shouting out, "Meat pies, get your fresh meat pies!"
And I feel like I’ve found my people. My kids (7&9) have just been bitten by the Muppets bug and I couldn’t be happier!
i created a muppet emotion list so instead of naming an emotion you can just name the muppet that best describes how you’re feeling! hope this is helpful 🫶
Love the scene with it so so much, I keep rewinding it

Does anyone know if Meteora has ever turned up at any of the muppets exhibits/museum?
Episode: Nice to have Gnome you
I may be asking a stupid question. But why isn’t there a current day Muppet Show like the variety show that ran in the 70s and 80s starring current celebrities? Is it because of the death of Jim Henson? I just feel like with the current investment in celebrity interview and exposure it would be so popular and such a great way to promote the creative art form that is the Muppets. I feel like disney keeps trying to rebrand the Muppets when the more classic style of their show is already so wholesome and well done. I feel like the fandom is big enough that they would have an audience and develop itself as SNL adjacent but more accessible to all ages. It would also allow a form of children’s tv that has been tried and true rather than packaged to be addictive. Anyway I miss the old muppet show and think it should be a thing again, thank you for listening:)
So I hadn't been a huge fan of Matt's version of Kermit (although he really does nail the singing voice), but this just randomly came up on my algorithm and I had to do kind of a double take at the date because it sounded more like the Kermit we know. I'm not sure what he's doing that's making it better, but yeah, he's really starting to get it down I think. No Kermit will be exactly the same, but I just wanted to give Matt a little cheers for this one.

I love Lew Zealand, he has such a fun design and character. But he is always relegated to just one of the ensemble, just hanging out in the background of scenes. The closest he’s had to important roles was the kidnapping in Muppets 2011 and the museum heist in Caper
Every so often I watch YouTube videos of old Sesame Street bits. The first clip in this video shows “Upstairs/Downstairs” and at the top of the stairs is a photo of Dr Teeth!
