Hi all. In the past. I would usually park in the arena garage for Caps games, but can't find current info on how to do that. Is it ultra-reserved now, or just first-come?
In the last two seasons, he's led the Bears in goals, been an all-star, and won the speed comp; yet, the Caps don't bring him up, and he always clears waivers. Why does this happen?
Ted ...
I just finished reading an excellent and informative letter penned by Dominic Hasek regarding the imperialist/illegal war due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This is a subject that all Americans should be concerned about and doubly concerned that the NHL and member teams continue to give implicit support to Russia by continuing to allow Russian players to compete. You and commissioner Betman have an opportunity to become a bellwether to send a message to Mr. Putin by barring all Russian players from competing until the illegal invasion is halted and Ukraine is restored to pre invasion status. Now I know that the 800 lb gorilla in the room is Ovie going for Gretsky’s record. No one would like to see him break the record more than me! Ovie and Putin are close and this could be just another nail in the coffin of Vladimir Putin to cease hostilities in Ukraine. I have loved seeing Ovie work his magic for the Capitals over the years and would be disappointed that he would not have the opportunity to break the record, but some things are more important than sports and records. He has been a great entertainer, but his close relationship to an obvious Fascist that is attempting to dismantle the region cannot be overlooked. Therefore, until you and the league stop sitting on your hands and do something about this, I am discontinuing my subscription to Monumental Sports and the NHL as well as not attending live games. I do not come by this lightly. I have played hockey my whole life from D3 college to semi Pro to mens league until I was 62 and at one time had a season ticket plan to the Caps. Hockey was life to me, but real life is way more important.
The world is at an inflection point and we all need to do our part to ensure that there is a world there for us all. Wouldn’t it be amazing if stopping a single man from scoring 43 goals would assist in stopping a war! This is up to you!
A pissed off fan!
Selling two tickets in 420 H for the Caps Bruins preseason game for $35 each. DM if interested!
Update: sold
My thought is obviously Oshie and Backstrom to LTIR. Bear and Shepard on waivers to Hershey and Miro to Hershey for a bit more seasoning.
Cool, but will also mean a decent size road trip for the Caps
Hubby and I are going to the season opener next week and I'm pumped! We've never been to the opener and I've seen that there's SO MUCH stuff going on before the game. Does anyone have any tips for having fun without getting overwhelmed?
Hey all. What should I expect to pay for a new with tags Ovechkin adidas retro reverse 2.0 size 52? I know they retailed for over $200 but on some sites I see them going for $160 plus shipping? Probably fake right? Thanks in advance
My SO and I are planning on visiting the DC area in early January. Trying to get tickets to the 1/4/25 noon game at Capital One Arena.
Checking Ticketmaster I see the cheapest seats are $100+/person, is this normal? I’ve entered my cap1 credit card details to get a small discount, maybe that’s as good as it gets.
Any other recommendations are welcomed! Best seats? Best budget seats? Pre-game? Post-game?
PS: we’re Lightning fans, always fun to watch a game as a “neutral” fan. Won’t be wearing any of our gear cuz I hate when I run into Bruins fans while playing not-the-bruins lol
These were given away with holiday packs a few years ago. I’ve been scouring the internet ever since with no luck. Any fellow Caps fans have a set they’re willing to part with? Willing to pay whatever it takes! Thanks all, go Caps!
I am newish to hockey, and more familiar with baseball. I know our affiliates (in a baseball sense) are hershey and the sc stingrays, but i see we send players to junior leagues and overseas as well, while still holding the rights to the player… how come they all are not sent to hershey or to stingrays??
Just moved back to Baltimore after 10 years and am looking to keep up with as much caps news as possible. Who should I be following and where?
4th year season ticket holder who lives in RVA. There are a lot of games I can't make, which are usually weeknights, but there are a few weekend games I can't make due to other plans (damn wife is a social butterfly). Section 214 (Ovie's office side, attack twice), row G, seats 12-13. There are no steps to walk, it is right to your left when you come out of the tunnel! These are also aisle seats. $340 for the pair.
Check out this link for views from the seats as well as the direct access to the exit tunnel.

I am only listing the games up through the end of December, but I have a lot of games available for 2025. If there's a specific game you're interested in, please ask. I'll update this post or make another for the back half of the season.

Even if it's far-fetched. If the Leafs are seriously considering moving on from him, they probably don't have much leverage when come next year they'd lose him for nothing.
Bonus: let's assume he won't waive his no-move clause unless it's to a team with an extension he likes already lined up for him. What extension would you offer that you think would work?
I am a Capitals & Wizards season seat holder and miss many games. The schedule has released for this upcoming year and will have many games available. I’ve sold a lot on this page recently and can share references. Below is what I have in October/November:
10/23 Capitals v. Flyers ($200) 10/26 Wizards v. Cavaliers ($140) 10/30 Wizards v. Hawks ($120) 11/2 Capitals v. Blue Jackets ($170) 11/4 Wizards v. Warriors ($370) 11/17 Wizards v. Pistons ($120) 11/22 Wizards v. Celtics ($330) 11/26 Wizards v. Bulls ($140) 11/27 Wizards v. Clippers ($130)
All seats are sold below market value without fees. The cost is for two seats and the view is shown in the photos. If interested in any games later in the season, please let me know.

Anyone else having trouble watching the games through ESPN using a VPN? I live in southern Va, so I’m in the blackout range, but this has worked in previous seasons. All of a sudden it’s stating that I’m in the blackout region even with a vpn set to California.
I think this is the first time since the 2019-20 season that I'm actually excited as a Caps fan for the start of the season. The squad has gone through some significant changes, and I feel invested in watching their games to see how Carbery gets more out of this team of sortof misfits after their Cinderella run to the playoffs last season. Wondering if anyone feels the same.
Fans encouraged to join festivities on F Street beginning at 2:30 p.m. 2024-25 roster and alumni to greet fans and sign autographs on red carpet
Towards the end of the movie, before the final hockey scrimmage match, somebody in the real world actually says one of the Capitals' home slogans as a question...and this is all the way out in SAN FRANCISCO!!
