Hi all, I’m thinking of moving to Waterloo Iowa for a medical related occupation. I have several questions. it’d be awesome if I could get your opinion on this.

What’s life like there? How does it compare to larger cities? What is your experience with the local airport (ease of travel)? Safety/crime? Schooling systems?

New to the area, looking to take my girlfriend to eat somewhere nice. I would prefer it to be a bit fancy since we don't go on super fancy dayes almost ever. It'd be nice to dress up once in a while.

I'm looking for really cutsy things to do in the Waterlooish area. We can drive a bit! All indoor since it's cold!

Come join us on Monday, January 13 around 6:30ish for board games, drinks, and fun! We'll have several games for groups up to 5 players and we tend to come together for one big game towards the end of the night (a very easy card game).

Hi all! I'm fairly new to the area and I'm wondering if there are any feminist groups in the area. In my searching, I found a student org at UNI along with some civic orgs that appear to be mostly philanthropic with members donating money. I'm not a student so the first doesn't work and I'm hoping for a group that engages in more activism alongside providing a community network and discussion. If there's not something like this, would anyone be interested in joining one?

Hello, college student here looking for off-campus housing options. I have a roommate, and we're looking for something like a 1 bath/2-1 bed apartment. I've tried the sites like Zillow or Apartments.com to look for options but they're a little out of our price range or only pull up like two options, even in surrounding areas.

Are there any resources we can use that we don't know about? Our determined accumulative budget between the two of us for rent + utilities is around 800 dollars.

Does anyone know of a mobile aquarium cleaning service in the area that can come to a home and clean the fish tank on a routine schedule?

Does anyone know where to find any groups that like to play board games together? Or is anyone interested in getting a group together to play?

Has anyone here applied to rent from them? The rents seem very reasonable, which makes me a little skeptical. I have heard stories of businesses that advertise nice places at a good price, with no real intention of renting to anyone, instead just making money on all the application fees submitted. I don't know if this really happens, though.

I work here in Cedar Falls, basically a traveling job. But I would love to have a friend to go out with every now and then. Platonic. Would love to watch this movie with someone. I am a man in his 30s, and my home address is South Carolina, I travel all over the country for this job and it becomes hard to keep and maintain friendships.
