How does Dubuque react to the LGBTQ+ community? Specifically when it comes to transgenders. I have a family member who just recently transitioned after living in Dubuque their whole life. I’m wondering how outsiders look towards them on a day to day basis. Is it accepted or frowned upon?

Good pizza, always correct order. No issues. From personal experience, I found it a bit funny that if you order late in the night for in-store pick up, you’re dismissed with a “stay safe,” instead of your typical “have a great night!” or similar. But I guess it is downtown Dubuque after all. At a certain hour. I thought it was just interesting hearing that statement anytime someone left. I also noticed when you walk inside, one of the employees will greet you with a “sup?” while the other person acted professional, saying “we will be with you in just a moment.” It’s just little things like that I noticed.

Hi, I'm meeting my sister in Dubuque in July and we're going to go on a road trip together. We're looking for a place to leave one car for a week. I think we could rent a monthly spot in a ramp but the application for that wants a bank ACH form so it sounds like they assume it would be recurring, and there's a whole application process. I see the Port of Dubuque has free parking, but I'm not sure whether it's okay to leave a vehicle parked there for 9 days. Does anyone know?

Anyone know of a place that will take a vehicle that needs repairs? I have a low mileage (for the age vehicle) that has rusted through some parts. It can be replaced but I don’t want to deal with it. Trying to sell to a private party has been difficult.

So I’ve had this suspicion for awhile now, but every time I use the bathroom and sit on the potty I have this feeling somebody is watching me like my family might have cameras in the bathroom, due to the fact they want me to act like a normal human being, but I can’t think straight with this paranoia sitting in my head, now the bathroom is the only place in the world where I usually find my peace of mind for the most part, it’s a sacred space for me. Can anybody else relate?
