Hi. I am not from USA. Stumbled upon this show after watching FIREFLY, and so far loving it so much that I am taking leaves from office to binge watch it. There is a running gag where Pete refers to Myka's chest as Tetons. I don't know whether this is an American slang or anything like that. Any episode where I missed the naming convention? Thanks in advance.
Al;so HEY HEY HEY!
What if all the wacky chips they showed were ideas they had for future episodes?
Been about 2 years since my last rewatch. First time I’ve noticed Simu Liu. Plays a nameless “Bartender” in season 5 with maybe 3 seconds of screen time. He may be the biggest contemporary A-List star to make an appearance on this show…. At least I can’t think of a bigger one.
Brand new to the forum here so apologies if I unintentionally break any rules!
I found out about Warehouse 13 and all the awards it was nominated for far too late many years after the series had aired :) ... looked around for where I could stream/watch it.
I should point out I live in the USA so of course this could very well be different for persons outside of that country but I noticed Warehouse 13 is on the CW which itself is a free to watch streaming service (with ads of course). Not sure how long it will be on the CW since I just discovered this but will be watching it for sure now (so far I've watched like two minutes of episode one season one :P )
I'm posting this only in case someone else hears about how great the show is too and is also wondering where to watch it. If you're watching it on TV I've noticed whether it's roku or android or what not the CW is typically free to install and of course if you're watching it online just do a google search for " CW streaming".
So some people might roll their eyes at me, but this is the first I have ever watched the entire show through to the end. I was 9 years old when this show came out. Lewis Carrol’s mirror was the only episode I remembered from this show. Potentially, it may have been the only episode I had seen. I remembered watching it with my grandpa. Lewis Carrol’s mirror is the 8th episode in Season 1. This means that for 15 years, ONE episode of warehouse 13 had me in a chokehold. I never forgot the name of the show, even though all I could recall was the mirror episode. After watching the entire series, I can confidently say that this entire show has me in a chokehold. Yes, I cried at the end. I can also say that I am irate that the end had to come so soon. It was so abrupt, I’ve read about why it is abrupt, however I really wish it had come to a slower stop instead of hitting a brick wall. 15 years of remembering a single episode of this show, and now I have finally seen all of it. It’s bittersweet to me. Thanks for reading.
Hello fellow fans. As someone who loves the show and plays dnd I realized that many of the artifacts can make perfect magic items. I am wondering if a fan has compiled a pdf or other resources of all the artifacts in the show that isn’t the annoying fan wiki website. I’d especially look to find a list of some of the less prominent artifacts like ones Artie keeps on hand like the joint hammer or the amorphous ink bottle.
Any posts here also help. I plan to use a number of the big / episode centered items like the spine of Saracen or Oliver sacks record player but what smaller benign items can anyone remember.
Thanks to anyone who helps out.
If it’s revealed later in the show then don’t tell me but I’m watching season 3 right now and Steve had 2 episodes with Sally and couldn’t tell she was lying at all, she even says “the human lie detector can’t even tell I’m using a phony accent”
I'm not asking what happened, I'm just asking if, at some point, it's revealed.
I want to know if it will remain something hinted at but never revealed, or if it's revealed at some point, but I'm concerned that looking up if it's revealed will then say what happened right after.
If it is revealed, does it happen in one moment, or is it spread out?
Heart broken when Steve dead in season 3. I have guessed that Steve is undercover soon after Jane said the reagents had a plan but didn't tell others what the plan is. And I get used to Steve and like him just after around 3 episodes from he joined warehouse 13. I can't calm down now.
This was in season 2, episode 11 at the beginning. He made her half a banana and she said if they were at her place, she would have made him _________…?
Im a big fan of sci-fi TV shows so naturally I watched Eureka and when I saw the crossover ep, this show moved up to next-to watch, at first I was like god what. Almost unwatchable but I loved Myka from the beginning so I’m like okay I’ll keep watching for her, flashforward, I’m near end of season 3, I’m like god I fucking love this show lol. Bringing in Claudia and HG made this show way much better! I’m so glad I struck around to watch and anxiously how this show will ends. The only complaint so far I have is how Leena is criminally underused!!!!
I'm rewatching this awesome show and i'm in season 4
!A to Z technology should have linked to some Aztec stuff cause ... if you word it out its just to perfect anyone wonders if they had something planned in the beginning and than it didnt come to play ? I guess Aztecs could had some warehouse too maybe one of the first ? we sadly never got a glimps on ALL warehouses. But yeah that was my thought as i rewatched it it just sounded too similar to Aztec !<
I'm (probably overly) nitpicky about shows maintaining little details throughout a series rather than forgetting and accidentally (or purposefully) retconning them so it serves their current narrative.
When Claudia abducts Artie, Pete is able to identify her by reading her name off Artie's lips in the spectrometer playback. That's some good lip reading. And he learned to because his sister is deaf. This is a detail they DO remember and show us during the funeral scene when he and Jane go into their memories.
Yet when they use the spectrometer again after Claudia is bronzed by Paracelcus, he suddenly can't tell what they're saying because "he can't read lips". Am I the only one super bothered by this?
Hi all, so I’m doing my annual rewatch and every time I see the Claudia’s intro (season 1, episode 4 Claudia) I can’t help but think she would’ve been an amazing bad guy. Don’t get me wrong, I love her arch, but I can’t help but think it every single time.
Anyone else agree?
I am on my annual rewatch. I know this is going to happen, I just don't ever remember when. This episode hits me every time. Well written, excellent music pairing.
Took me a minute to connect the dots. Not on the same plane as WH13 but worth a watch for any fan of Bruce Campbell!
In S03E13, The Greatest Gift, Pete touches Philip Van Doren Stern's Upholstery Brush and goes to a timeline where he was never born.
As events unfold, he gets to Myka's office in Washington, DC. Hanging on the wall is a portrait of the President, but it's John McCain (instead of Barack Obama)?
The series didn't start until July of 2009, so in the real world, President Obama had been in office for over five months.
What are the theories of how Pete's absence from the world threw that curveball?
I'm in a rewatch and have always felt Pete and Myka were more brother-sister than lovers, and Myka should have been more romantically involved with Helena. Am I wrong?
For me, it was Claudia's scream in the warehouse after finding Jinksy. No matter how many times I watch it, it always makes me cry. Which moment was your most heart-wrenching moment of the show?
I’m confused. In the story arc with the astrolabe, we’re shown at the end that Artie essentially made up brother Adrain in South Dakota, in the warehouse & other places. Artie is the ‘evil’. But we learn later that brother Adrain has never been to the US. “No I have not!”.
But In Endless Wonder, both Jinks & Claudia see brother Adrain carrying the threshold. How is that possible if all of it happened in Artie’s mind?
I'm sure it wasn't necessary for her to do this but it's really amusing to imagine what it would've been like on set if she did 🤣
Even though it doesn't quite scratch the "genre" itch shows like Warehouse 13 do I think it's something a lot of fans would like. It follows neurologist Dr. Wolf (played by Zachary Quinto) and his intern team as they basically tackle the weirder side of neurology cases (e.g. the pilot deals with Capgras Syndrome). Also it's got a lot of great representation as the aforementioned neurologist is gay and has faceblindness, I think the ensemble is majority-PoC and one of the interns canonically has anxiety (and is shown e.g. taking meds for it, it's not just treated like it means scaredy-cat worrywart personality)
But other than that and it being a good well-written show (as best I can judge after three episodes) the other reasons why I think Warehouse 13 fans would like Brilliant Minds are it has a similar good command of atmosphere/mood in the visuals, music etc. (I swear it even turns up the green in the same way CSI: Miami does with warm colors and Pushing Daisies does with color saturation) and also it is at the very least based on the work of (though idk how much the guy is similar to our lead) real neurologist Oliver Sacks and A. that means shit's going to get weird (in a way I think makes up for it not being as fantastical) and B. doesn't Oliver Sacks have an Artifact (as I think this show's where I first heard of him)
Rewatching the season 4 Emily Lake episode and their chemistry is *chef’s kiss *. In my world they are happily together with a cute little couple of adopted kiddos.
When Artie uses the Astro-lane it rewinds 24 hours. Within those 24 hours he got the Astro-lane. Does that mean there's a second Astro-lane there?
I am thougholy convinced that this show is simply a love story from Pete to Myka. My husband watched with me and I said from the first couple episodes that this was a story about how Pete loved Myka. Oviously Myka had an affair with HG Wells. Myka took her time getting there. But over all, it's a story about how Pete loved Myka.
Kudos to History!
I have a question, how does the bag have everything they need at any given moment. Is the bag an artefact or Artie just caries around Sticks that can make a latter and other stuff. Like Istg he could pull out a sandwich, or a toster, sometimes I think there could be a car in that bag, that bag has everything and I mean everything. So is it an artefact that is connected to the warehouse and it could have any artefact laying in the warehouse when you imagine it and it teleports it to you, or is it just cheep writing?
[Artifact Classification]: Level 4 - Heavy Containment Zone
[Artifact Containment File]: ACF-019-A is kept inside a chamber of an approximate 10 feet at height and an approximate width of 6.50×8.50 square meters of Titanium which is strong around of 434 MPA (63,000 psi) and a Titanium vault door that is modified with an electric system that can only be opened by keycards of level 4 access, any individual or personnel that has been affected by ACF-019-A must be sent to the medical room immediately for analysis of negative effects for cleansing and any specific entity generated by ACF-019-A must be dealt with immediate termination to avoid paraphysical containment breach.
[Description]: ACF-019-A is a seemingly old furniture resembling a Rogues Gallery from the 1930s formerly used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of criminal photographic identifications however, upon opening the Rogues Gallery's reveals what it contains being 150 aluminum drawers that is each separate by 3 of respective 50 aluminum drawers storing a total 150 known criminals from human history such examples are Jack The Ripper, Bonnie & Clyde, Al Capone, the New Orlean Axeman, the Zodiac Killer, D.B Cooper, etc. that are respectively documented and stored in the drawers.
ACF-019-A is under containment in Foundry 67, where it is guarded by 4 armed security personnel who are assigned to keep a close watch on ACF-019-A at costs due to multiple paraphysical containment breach-risk alerts by entities from the past where they almost had managed to escape but were prevented in relief by NEU Kappa-8 operatives, so to which the Warehouse 13's Foundry 67 decided to add a Tesla Termination Chamber controlled by a specific control room for ACF-019-A and its generated entities in which there is one only hallway leading to ACF-019-A but that said only hallway has been added with a Tesla Termination Chamber to terminate the generated entities of ACF-019-A.
ACF-019-A has shown to display cognitive capabilities that affects an individual's psyche that can only happen if a key has been applied to a specific drawer of ACF-019-A, when opened, the individual reads a document of a specific criminal in which they began to mimic their tactics and skills but each criminal's documents that could be read has different abilities given such example is Jack The Ripper's ability to mesmerize individuals in the night in trance, the New Orleans Axeman's ability of enhanced handling and inhuman strength or Billy The Kid's ability of firing in a blink of an eye.
However, the downsides of ACF-019-A has been shown to have that the individual can only attain one ability of a documented criminal as well as another downside is that if the individual who has attained one and kills a person with a specific document criminal ability will raise the chance of the artifact's cognitive effect known as the Ripper Effect to affect significantly the individual's psyche turning them to a criminal if they kill a lot of people so to which this can only be prevented by the administration of an Amnesiac-C Injectant.
ACF-019-A has been acquisitioned in April 9, 1936 by multiple agents who were on a day-off after having to discover multiple individuals in weird masks who had gone killing others nonchalantly in an alleyway where the agents had to engage in combat thus in the process killing individuals in masks so to which their bodies were cremated soon after and the artifact was later neutralized to be transported to Foundry 67, where it is now still held in today.
The entities generated by ACF-019-A are humanoids resembling an element of their appearance so to which one such example are the Zodiac Killers that wield a pistol and a knife along with a paper bag hat in which these humanoid entities of ACF-019-A are different by said element of their appearance as well as they will appear suddenly and specifically because of the reason for ACF-019-A having an aspect of complexity for the understanding of criminology however, generated entities of ACF-019 known as ACF-019-2s can involve the unnerving police sketches materializing specifically and suddenly in humanoid forms.
This Artifact is often handled by Professor Solemnity, who studies and oversees the nature of ACF-019-A along with some researchers usually learning of ACF-019-A albeit cautiously.
I've been wondering where does Warehouse 13 gets its resources or supplies from since we saw their teslas and can't be limited because of their technology, can somebody tell me where do they get their resources from? Because I see their advanced technologies and neutralizer there.
