Fauxdoris are more than welcome! Whether you made it yourself, or bought it from someone else.
Share pictures. Tutorials. Ask for advice/ideas. Enjoy!
This sub was spawned off of /r/notebooks and would absolutely love if you hung out there as well.

Hi, All: Avid Journalist and Artist here. I am interested in getting a Travelers Journal. I am thinking of A6 size (4.1 x 5.8"). Need your help with the following:
A) Size: Can this size hold 3 to 4 inserts? B) Advice on place to purchase the cover. Looking for simple leather or non-leather options. No need for a pen holder on it, etc. Also, thinking of making one. C) Is it a good size for joujournaling and art? D) Are there various inserts etc out there for this size?
Looking forward to hearing from fellow journalists and artists!
I love my Passport Journal and am currently looking for inserts for addresses. Germany or at least Europe would be best. Somehow I'm being too stupid with Google and can't find anything right.
If there are templates, I would be happy to print it out myself.
I really appreciate any tips!
Michael
Unwrapping this beauty in the lobby of the Granbell Hotel in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district is peak Midori for me :(
hey all! i'm going to use my new midori frame as a bullet journal next year and was wondering if it's necessary to get the plastic protective cover? i'm kinda scared of the wear and tear it might endure.
some info: plan to carry the notebook around outside (note-take on the go) i'll be bringing it to school mostly
thanks!!
Did anyone else have to make changes to the way they used stationary to make the Midori system work?
Personally I found that I can't use fountain pens and I also found that if I turn it 90 degrees and write longways I just work easier (it's too narrow but I still have a lined insert because I make a lot of lists) I also found that trying to make it pretty and artsy just leads to me not using it.
Does anyone else have anything they had to change from the first notion when they bought it?
Mine was over two days and I didn't realize it thinking I dried out the leather but the bag it was back into was soaked as well...
I just got the 5 year diary and I can't wait to start using it. Now I'm looking for a pencil board to go with it. The closest I can find is a B6, which is about a half inch too narrow I believe. Does anyone use a pencil board with their 5 year diary?
so anyone else have issues with getting a decent flow on the paper? maybe its my nib size (0.3) but it wont consistently flow out like I'm used to on other papers. I tried using a glove on my hand and changing the angle but its about the same. The ink i used was colorverse Ham and the Platinum blue ink. I usually have a LePen, but it cramps my hand. Been thinking about just opening those up and putting the ink in my converter..
It’s the 2025 A6 Monthly-Weekly planner, no holidays one.
would someone be so kind as to confirm the dimensions of the “full size” travellers’ notebook? i have read it is 21 x 11 cm (8,26 x 4,33) when closed.
i would like to make my own cover for inserts, so would appreciate the accurate dimensions open and folded.
can you help?
Had my eye on the Traveler's Company for a while now so decided to treat myself. Any tips on getting the olive cover to pop a bit? It's a bit dull
Super random and niche, but I had the funny idea for an insert that on the front, has the “Death note” letters on it. If anyone knows an Etsy person or someone to make one let me know!
Hi everyone! Ive been wantintg the blue mos burger notebook since it released but the prices are outrageous (im a broke full time college student) since i’m canadian
I heard they released a olive mos burger notebook! i sooooo badly want it. Apparently there is a second round being released on Nov 18? i forgot…
anyone know any ways i can get my hands on it?
Hello, new where wondering if you know of a group for uk based people? Mostly because some products and shops don’t match!
I just bought a Midori 5 Year Diary and plan to use it next year. For those of you that have used one, what's the best pen for writing with ink that will keep long term?
Does any of you use this for your TNs? Do you like it? Does it fit on a regular size?
Can anyone enlightment me on paper thickness? Some pictures comparing with Tomoe or Rhodia or some common brand or A4 common Laser paper will be great. I looked on videos on YouTube, but I could not figure it out.
I would like to make the plundge, but I have to order it in a different country and I'm not sure I will like it enough.
Thank you!
I'm hoping to make it into an ink journal so the year doesn't really matter to me. I wanted to make one on MD paper and the regular A6 notesbooks have less pages that I'd like for a longer term ink/swatch journal.
Does anyone know if any stores currently stock the 2024 version or older so I could buy it cheaper? Thank you!
I'm happy with my new setup. Midori Codex for daily journaling and a traveler's notebook for my calendar, budget notebook and some stickers.
Very much looking forward to 2025 with a good handle on appointments and the new TN that I just got today.
