I really don’t want to get switched down… I just want to experience the very tough, but forgiving culture ❤️
Looking at getting a psychiatrist. Have had zero luck finding someone who takes state insurance who is willing to try more medical based approaches. Frankly, the last two therapists kept trying to get me to meditate my problems away. While relaxing, it was not solving my problems.
I have seen a few nurses and psychologists but I am only getting worse. I have extremely volatile moodswings that cause my esteem to sky rocket and then tank. I know I need intensive help but I can't seem to find much available.
I saw Peacehealth has a program but I can't find much on it. Was wondering if others had any luck or feedback, maybe even a general direction towards help. I just want to get stable. The last few therapists couldn't help me. I am hoping psychiatry can help.
I was the red wrx behind you most of that journey 07’s to you. It was a blast going 90 down I5 without a care in the world lol. And for any for any sticklers for speedlimits. We weren’t driving like maniacs runing people off the road we slowed down and waited for them to move over.
Come hear LCC music students doing their thing! Here's the Choir practicing Go Tell It on the Mountain https://www.facebook.com/reel/1085897873015695 Jazz combos is always fun too, lots of great talent!
All concerts at Ragozzino Music Hall at Lane Community College
After the ducks get a turnover, they post a Carls Jr code on the big screen — I missed it while getting my wife stuff from the concessions stand.
Thanks!
I know they have them at Down-to-Earth, but are there any other places that MAY be a little cheaper?
Thanks for any helpful input!
This is a long shot but my mom was at Fred Meyers on west 11th in Eugene and lost her wallet. It was red. If anyone has seen it please let me know.
C'mon down to Sam Bonds and catch Brown Stallion tonight! It'll be a great show, and maybe their last one in Eugene for a while... 🤎🐴🤎
It’s horrible!
Anyone know?
There. You're welcome.
(I have as much legal right to do this as they had to "retract" it.)
To all of the food trucks, bars and restaurants in the area. Is Bigfoot REALLY still the only vendor to get your Pepsi products and other beverages from?
When I last worked in food service, they were the only viable option unless you wanted to purchase all your soda guns/dispensers and maintain them yourselves, or be forced to go the Coca-Cola brand route.
But honestly, unless you were one of Bigfoots' customers with very high volume orders, you were often left with equipment that was needing repaired for weeks, or even months before getting service. The "benefit" of having them maintain the equipment was severely lacking, and Bigfoot couldn't have cared less because they knew we had no other vendors to turn to if we were unhappy with their service.
The soda boxes were often not rotated when new deliveries were made, and I always had to check expirations. There were several instances where one of the syrups that were just delivered were already past the expiration date. One of our soda guns cracked at the base and was leaking for over 4 months before they finally replaced it.
Bigfoot had basically no competition anywhere in the area and they knew it. Nothing to offer but poor customer service and even worse employee recognition.
My question is, does ANYONE know of another vendor that can compete with them? Would restaurant owners be willing to pay a little more for a vendor that would take better care of their needs? I would imagine any other Pepsi vendor may not be able to offer as low of prices depending on their total volume of sales. I'm unsure as to how the Pepsi production/franchise system works tbh.
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to this community because I’m going through a really tough time and could use some advice and support. Recently, I lost my job due to underperformance caused by depression and anxiety. It’s been incredibly hard to process this, as my mental health challenges had a significant impact on my ability to meet expectations, but my employer didn’t know about my condition.
On top of that, I’m now facing the very real fear of losing my health insurance and, with it, my access to the medications and therapy that help me manage my diagnoses. The thought of going without this support is terrifying, and I’m not sure where to turn for help.
I’d really appreciate any guidance on the following: 1. Legal/Workplace Advice: Since I didn’t disclose my mental health condition to my employer, is there still a way to seek legal assistance or advocate for myself? Has anyone been in a similar position and navigated this successfully? 2. Health Insurance and Medication: Are there resources or programs that can help with accessing affordable mental health care or medication while unemployed? I’m looking for any advice on short-term solutions for maintaining access to treatment. 3. Career Recovery: How can I explain this job loss when applying for new roles, especially in a way that shows growth rather than focusing on the challenges I faced? 4. Mental Health and Work: For those who’ve dealt with depression or anxiety at work, what strategies or accommodations have helped you manage? Would you recommend disclosing mental health conditions in future workplaces, and if so, how? 5. Resources: Are there local organizations, programs, or online communities that can help with legal guidance, job placement, or mental health support for someone in my situation?
This has been a humbling experience, and I’m determined to move forward and use this as an opportunity to grow. If you have any advice, resources, or even words of encouragement, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I searched here and found recommendations from four years ago... but Eugene Hybrid Taxi Company seems to be out of business? There was one other mentioned that was not recommended. So ... who is?
anywhere in town i could buy a disposable zero nicotine vape ?
If you could ask Mayor Lucy Vinis any question what would it be?
What questions do you have for her about the state of the city or her last 6 years in office?
I want to take photos myself indoor somewhere, but don’t want to pay studio prices. My home is too small and chaotic lol, do any photographers you know rent out studio space or anything like that? Boudoir style, so not anywhere public. This may be a lost cause but maybe looking for information, TIA!
Has anyone else noticed that they’re no longer Juanita’s?! When did this happen?!
I'd like to donate some gifts to kids or families, but I'd prefer to keep Jesus out of it. Anyone know of some "giving trees" or charities that aren't church-sponsored? Thanks!
Edit: I don't give a shit about the beliefs of the kids receiving the gifts. I just don't want the gifts to be given on behalf of a church or religious organization.
Thanks for the ideas so far, I'll check out a couple tomorrow!
My kid attends North High. Currently the Future Build program is there because North is a new facility with beautiful tool shops.Future Build allows kids to learn carpentry skills while building tiny houses for homeless folx for school credit!!! A win win win. They bus kids in from 4 campuses to do this work, together at North. My kiddo went in today and there had been a break in over holiday. Practically every power tool is gone. They left some handsaws, a couple of drills and chop saw. I'm so sad for the kids and everyone down the line. Doubt it it will be replaceable since it was all brand new this year!!! 🤬
As the title says i turn 21 in about a week and a half!! I was wondering if anyone knows of any good dispensaries do a birthday deal or anything of the sort?

Hi! I’m looking for places to rent potted Christmas trees. The one lead I found online didn’t have a website or phone number, and didn’t seem very legitimate. TIA 💛
Hi I’m looking for a job at the country fair but I’m still relatively new to eugene and don’t really know anyone. Was hoping to get a job so I can camp at fair this year. I’m 18/female hoping to get a job! 🥹🥹😣
Hi everyone,
I'm in the unfortunate situation of needing to purchase a vehicle ASAP - can anyone recommend a trustworthy mechanic in Eugene to perform a pre-purchse inspection within a couple days notice?
Side question - can anyone recommend a trustworthy dealership for purchasing used vans, RV's, moving trucks, etc? I am looking for a van-life compatible vehicle.
Thank you 😊
PublicHouse 418 A Street Springfield, OR, Every Sunday at 5:30
For this open mic we ventured to the far away land of Springfield Oregon!
I really dig the Publichouse. For those of you that haven’t been, it's an old church that has been turned into a host for several tasty food pods, a nice brew hall and even a whiskey bar.
The open mic takes place out back, hosted by Rudolf Korv. (He used to host the open mic at First National Taphouse)
Sign up is at 5:30 and he said they start this sharp, which I have no doubt about, but he said due to the slim number of performers he would delay a little bit and give us all an extra song, from 3 to 4 so that was nice. Draw names and then you get to pick what spot you want to go up. Seems fair enough.
I can see how this open mic would be super fun during the warmer months, out in the open air with a cool breeze instead of under the protective tarps and heat lamps. I wish I would have worn some gloves, but I run a bit cold these days. Even though it was cold, it was fun. Nice cop lights going the entire time behind the stage for a little extra ambience.
Shout out to the duo before me “Peaches on our tongue.. Or your tongue.” Something like that. They have to be one of the coolest acts I’ve seen at an open mic. Violin player? You kidding me? That really classes it up, people. I really felt bad having to follow their beautiful playing with my clunky dark act.
A really nice venue, great sound, friendly host. All in all a great open mic. Personally my set was so bad it makes me question why I’m doing any of this, but that’s my issue.
Power went out for the entire building (U District) at 7:47am today and there was no back-up generator. Patients at Oregon Imaging were sent home - not sure about the other building tenants.
Anyone?
