Hello,
Daughter applied to OSU and was accepted.
She did FASFA, and is applying for other scholorships, but we can't seem to find any way to actually "apply" for WUE. We assume it must be automatic, but didn't want to leave anything to chance.
Can anybody advise us on the process?
Thanks!
Edit:
Thank you for all of the responses! We went to her account low and behold she already got accepted! Thanks!
Computer recommendations for incoming freshman forestry student? Would a MacBook Pro be fine?
When should I start looking for houses for next year?
Im looking to possibly go to grad school here, specifically for a masters in water resources engineering. How competitive is engineering grad school at this university?
I’m going to be attending Oregon state for the fall in a little under a year, my issue: my boyfriend will only have his GEd by then while I will be transferring as a junior and he will transfer as a freshman I’m not even sure if we will be able to room together with him but I’m pretty sure having financial aid pay for our room is the cheapest option unless I’m mistaken, would it be better to just find apartments near the school and pay for it that way? If it feels like I have no idea what I’m talking about please give me guidance.
I just got my associates degree at a community college, I now need to transfer schools. Last time I tried a university I went to Portland state, short story short got kicked out and became homeless due to not being able to afford to stay in the dorms. How am I supposed to avoid this going to Oregon state university ? Will they let me stay attending and living there ? What if my financial aid doesn’t cover the living expenses and my classes ect? I don’t understand do I just need to be rich? I barely make $20k a year at my job now my family is poor what do I do if I want to continue my education? Is my only option to just not continue my education?
In Wilson specifically. I've been here for the entire fall term and I still have no clue how to use the heater.
So I’ve hit a dilemma, I’ve been enrolled for fall 25’ for Marine Biology, but I’ve also been considering quite a few options like oceanography, geology, environmental science(with a marine focus), and maybe zoology. My biggest concern is spending a majority of my studies out in the field and/or the ocean and not in a lab. I also understand that a lot of those majors have very competitive job fields, but I’m planning on attending graduate school as well so I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.
Hey yall and happy thanksgiving,
I have a disease known as MCAS paired with a possible type 1 diabetes diagnosis (haven’t done insulin test yet), and was wondering if anyone else with similar disabilities or conditions can actually get help from the DAS. I’ve sent emails left and right and I get nothin, no messages or responses.
E.G* I’m dying and my weight is dropping, I’m malnourished with vitamins and struggling to breathe every day, but its whatev.
Does anyone know what date I have to let OSU know if I'm attending or not? I tried looking online but didn't see it anywhere
This may be a silly question, but I see the "Beaver's Digest" around campus. Can I just take one?
will campus buildings be closed tomorrow?
How can a person go to Portland (Like shopping mall in Washington Square) from Corvallis without driving license? Want some detailed information about shuttles. ( If I want to stay at Portland till 10pm and back to Corvallis. )
Anybody had a Western Culture class that was ridiculously easy? Please share :)
hey, i'm a current high school senior that will probably go to oregon state next fall. last year, i got a 2 on my calc bc exam with a 3 ab subscore (and an A in the class - i know the material pretty well, i just didn't study for the exam particularly well). it seems like usually subscores are counted as official ap scores and therefore i can skip mth 251. however, i won't currently be able to skip 252.
should i take a cc class over the summer or this spring so i don't have to take it at oregon state? or will it not significantly affect my timeline if i just take 252 my first term at OSU?
also ill have credit for mth 261 from PCC, would that allow me to skip 252?
Hey y'all, I wanted to plug an extension some friends and I made for the most recent OSU Hackathon. Our extension adds a button to course pages on classes.oregonstate.edu which enables you to get notified when a course vacancy status changes (full -> vacant) and (vacant -> full). If you find yourself constantly checking whether a spot for a class opened up, this is for you!
If you'd like to use our extension, you can download it here. We recommend using a non-OSU email since OSU is currently flagging our emails as spam. Also, if you'd like to learn more about the hackathon project, you can check out our Devpost here.
Does anyone know if OSU allows PhD students to "master out," i.e. obtain an incidental master's degree after completing some portion of a PhD program?
Am I too woke or is having a label saying “Calories Count” a little messed up?🤔
I got accepted around a month ago and I’ve been living in Oregon for literally 9 years now at the same address and even filed Oregon taxes last year since I have a job. They sent me an email last night saying they’ve changed my residency status to out of state. Has this happened to anyone else?
Hey i just wanted to say im subleasing a bedroom in a 2 bed 2 bath on campus
Mostly wondering about H 493, HHS 199, and HHS 420.
Hello, I want to apply for a PhD that starts in August (usually fall). I only have been to university’s with semesters and not quarters. Would I apply in winter (due in 14 days) or for fall? Sorry if that’s a dumb question. Thank you.
Hey there I was hoping to hear if anyone has been to the career fair OSU holds in the winter term and if it isnt too late in the school year to get an internship for summer 2025 at it.
Also any stories or tips about your experiences with career fairs would be great to hear about
My brother was biking near Oregon State and his wallet fell out of his pocket. The most likely place it fell out was near the 7/11 on NW Monroe Ave, along NW Monroe Ave, or along NW Arnold Way. He had all his stuff in his wallet so he has been frantically looking for it, does anyone have any tips for finding or retreiving it? He has already frozen everything but it is a hassle and he just wants his ID cards and important cards. Are there places on campus that should be called to ask if they found it?
Attached is a picture of the wallet that is basically the same/similar, any help is much appreciate.
What do we do in this class, and what should I do in preparation for it? I know it has BI 221 and CS 161 as prereqs, so another thing I want to ask is how much knowledge do we actually use from each of those classes? And as a 4th year CS major, what kind of programming does it entail?
I am just curious if there's any bengali Students from Bangladesh.
Curious if there will be any dinners or handouts on campus for students (or anyone) who doesn’t have people to celebrate with or can’t be with family this Thursday? Or maybe can’t even afford a meal?
