If you lost your water bottle at the south Salem Freddie’s I turned it into customer service
I've got a ripped seam in a leather jacket that needs repaired. Any recommendations for a tailor/clothing repair?
I think it’s flu but man I feel awful! Wondering how it’s affecting everyone else!
Interested just for the sake of some camaraderie!
To the guy in the orange reflective vest on liberty rd running rain or shine every morning, if you read this, I admire your dedication!
Anyone know any game stores in Salem or around Salem that are not the place downtown? It seems that if you live in Salem, you either have to put up with the pricing, ethics and so on of one store or you have nowhere to play games. It kind of sucks. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Card and Board games not video games. I play Magic.
Hello! Wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. Husband got caught by the red light camera on the intersection of Kuebler and Commercial a few months ago after making a right turn onto Commercial a few seconds after the yellow changed into red. He went to court for it and agreed to do traffic school/paid for the ticket on the same day. He finishes traffic school by September and does not get another ticket in that allotted time period. We get no further mail from the court. End of November we get a notice that he now has to pay $1000 due to not paying the court costs for the initial ticket. The problem is that my husband has a bank statement showing he pulled out the money the day he went into the court to handle the ticket since they only accept cash. He remembers going downstairs to pay but unfortunately due to memory issues cannot remember if they gave him a receipt/he might have lost it. We’ve looked everywhere for that receipt since money is tight but have come up empty handed. We called the court to ask if they have any record or if there is anything we can do but they told us we are out of luck if we don’t have the receipt and will need to pay the fine. While my husband might have memory issues I’m usually the one that handles any time sensitive documents like this and make sure that he remembers to handle things in time. I know we paid for this ticket but it seems like we’re going to have to pay more. Does anyone know if there is another way to handle this? I can’t believe the court wouldn’t keep a record of payment or at least have electronic receipts on file. I don’t think anyone at the court pocketed the money but I really don’t know what to think now.
Hi I have an almost 2yr black lab mix that I’m looking to get neutered. He has started to get humpy with my pillows but also I would love for him to go to doggy day care but they are require dogs to fixed. Can anyone please help me out by recommending a place that neuters but won’t cost an arm and a leg? I appreciate it!
New to the area and don’t know a ton of venues. Is there anywhere in town doing fun events for the weekend of new years? I have a friend visiting from out of town and we are wanting to do something in Salem. Could be bars, restaurants, local businesses, etc. thank you!
What would be the best car shop to go to for a (most likely) wheel bearing issue? I hit a bad pothole or something on a gravel thru street out in Aumsville and since then my car has started making a loud noise that sounds similar to an airplane. Googling (and all mighty Dad advice lol) think that noise means a wheel bearing needs to be fixed. I would prefer to take it to a smaller shop so it costs less than going to the dealership would but I don't know which shops are good around here. Edit: the car is a 2009 Honda Civic
Little backstory- I recently got a 97 mustang cobra and I am going to drastically enhance it (sentimental reasons).
I am looking for a decent mechanic that can handle repairs on it, would prefer someone mobile but not against taking it to a shop. I also prefer to help out people that are learning or are new to the business.
Also looking for someone that knows this style/model of mustang to help me tune and build this car. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Big news! 🛼😍💕🛼

I’m wanting to make a large batch of beef bone broth. Where’s a good place to buy good marrow bones and oxtails? I’ve used the bag of premium bones you can buy from winco but I’m just looking to see what else might be out there. I’ve also looked at ocean star Asian market but, I’m going to be honest… they don’t label their meat and I can’t tell the difference between pork and beef bones when they’re all frozen 🤦🏻♀️😅 help?
Any suggestions on where to buy art from local artists at a reasonable price? I used to buy from Ernie & Gray allll the time. I loved that they had a wide variety of pieces and prices to fit most budgets. Since they've been gone I don't know where to go.
Does anyone have a good resource for knowing when to plant different vegetables, when to start seeds indoors, when to transplant or plant seeds outdoors?
I know I can look up the average final frost date and seed packets usually have directions based on that date, but I have so many different seed packets, and tbh my ADHD makes it a real struggle to organize all that info in a way that makes ANY kind of sense to me. Last year's garden went really poorly and I'm really trying to do better this year, starting with an actual plan.
I am by no means new to Salem, but I have had a hard time making friends and am really looking to change that. Does anyone know of any good clubs, sites, places, apps, or other things I could use to meet people? I don't drink or go to bars so I can't do that unfortunately. I am a 30 year old man and am interested in hiking, walking, disc golf, pickleball, painting, TV, video games, board games, and stuff like these things if that brings to mind any particular resources that would apply to me. Let me know, thank you so much, I hope this is following the rules of this subreddit!
I’m in desperate need of a dog trainer. My Aussie is almost 11 weeks and she will not stop biting me. My arms are trashed. I’ve tried so many things and they nothing works. Dog trainers in Salem that are trusted and don’t break the bank?

Looking for a spot that might have some cool lighters. Vintage would be neat, or even new but unique. Just looking to move up beyond a Bic.
Where’s a good place in/around Salem that has lots of Christmas lights to look at? Love driving around with friends drinking hot chocolate and looking at the lights. Thanks for any suggestions:)
Female german shepard, knows basic commands. I can get you in contact with the person that found her if you are the owner. Just helping a friend reach out to find this girls owner. Thanks!
My partner was recently diagnosed with cancer and I am physically disabled and have chronic fatigue.
We have a large Labrador and we live in a tiny apartment. My partner used to be the one who would walk him a lot but since he's gotten sick, I haven't been able to keep up that pace, and our doggo hasn't been getting the exercise and care a dog of his size needs and deserves. I've also been struggling a lot emotionally and my partner has been sleeping, so doggo hasn't really gotten the direct attention he deserves.
Is there anywhere in the Salem/Keizer area, or somewhere nearby in Oregon, that temporarily houses dogs for people who have medical issues? We love this dog so much and the last thing we want to do is rehome him, but I do have to admit when the situation isn't fair for him.
Our hope is someone who can take care of him for a few months until my partner is in remission, then he can come back home.
Me and my friends have a tradition where we each try to get the weirdest white elephant gift for under $10. Where is the best place to look for this?
Has anyone tried Garibaldi's on Lancaster? It is the old Sizzler. ( I wish Sizzler was still there). I'm feeling Mexican food tonight. Are they any good? So, so, , bad ? Etc.
Does anyone know of any businesses that accept cans in west Salem? I don’t mind going over the bridge to return cans but would like to go somewhere closer to me if possible.
I'm looking for recommendations on where I should order Christmas dinner from. Last year I ordered from Shari's, but since they closed I need a new place. I ordered Thanksgiving dinner from McGrath's and liked it, but I don't see a similar Christmas pre-order except for pies. Any suggestions?
To the person on river road with a trash bag cleaning up the massive amounts of waste produced from the Keizer parade I just want to say thank you. We can all do a better job of cleaning up our cities and making sure we leave our areas better than we found them.
Any other descendants of people who helped found the towns of Salem and/or Newberg? I’d like to trade notes on helpful sources, in particular for those ancestors who were Quakers/Friends. I don’t expect any responses, but I’m throwing it out there!
