A. No harassment, doxxing, trolling, etc. While we try to let most conversations play out and try not to pull the trigger immediately, if any user crosses the line into any sort of name calling we will initiate mutes and bans as necessary.
B. Since this is a sports sub, no raiding or swarming other subreddits. While it's really easy to go into an opponent's sub and be completely disrespectful and trash that team's fans, this will not be tolerated. It makes this sub look bad and it makes the Ducks fan base and community as a whole look bad. While we won't pursue another subreddit, if we find out we will take the necessary actions.
With that said, we mods have not had to lay a ban hammer down in any real capacity in the time this sub has existed. Sure we've banned the trolls and the absolute worst of the worst. Moving forward we will be setting bans on people who violate the rules set forth. It will be gradual:
A day
A week
A month
Lifetime
If you are banned we will give an explanation as to why.
If you see something that breaks one of these rules, please report it. We try and be active in the subreddit, but we can't catch everything by ourselves. Reporting makes it easy to see issues on computer and mobile.
1. Descriptive Titles
If you are posting a linked article Reddit has an option to autofill the title, if it does not work then copy and paste, if the title is clickbait then change the title.
Oregon's official YouTube has decided to title everything with a quote, if you wish to change it that's up to you.
Please flair all posts as accurately as possible as well. With the dual existence of both old and new reddit they may not all work properly, but we are continually working to adjust.
2. General Submissions
Low effort and low quality posts will be removed.
If a thread gets out of hand we will lock the thread or delete it.
3. Premium Content
Sites like ScoopDuck, The Athletic, 247, Rivals, ESPN, and On3 all offer premium content, from articles to forums and sometimes. The general rule on articles has been not to post, because they are behind a paywall and not everyone can access that content. For the time being, if a premium link is posted:
A) the poster needs to make it clear it's behind a paywall
B) Any copy and pasting from the article will get that comment deleted
C) Screenshots from premium forums or articles will be deleted.
These are services that people pay for and others make their living off of. If this becomes a problem then we will address it in the future.
4. Rumors
Rumors are part of the sports world, we completely understand this, but we want to set guidelines on how we will handle them moving forward. We ask that reliable or certified sources are used. These are mainly members of the media, like Stewart Mandel, Bruce Feldman, Tyler Agler, etc or those seemingly inside the program, like Justin Hopkins, or Andrew Nemec. If you start a rumor thread and your source is a screenshot of a user on Facebook we will remove it.
5. Recruiting Posts
We live in the magical age of the Lanning, Graves, Altman recruiting juggernaut era. We have seen a massive rise in the last couple years of high star commits and we want to make sure we are using the service for posts, where applicable.
247 covers both football and basketball ball ranks and stars on players. When making a title make sure you include the Players name, their position, and their star ranking. In the body of the post please include their 247 profile and their commitment announcement, such as Twitter.
Women's sports are a little different and don't have the depth that make sports do. We ask that whenever you post a female recruits commitment you try and get as close as you can to the males.
On big days like NSD we will make a mega thread.
6. Weekly Threads as it relates to football
During the week we will sticky a discussion thread or article almost every day.
Monday will be a post game discussion
Tuesday will be /u/hythloday1 post game breakdown
Wednesday will be a prediction thread
Thursday/Friday will be when /u/hythloday1 previews article/thread.
Saturday we will have a game thread, and after the game we will make a post game reaction thread. This is where we want you guys and gals to throw your chairs against the walls or jump on your beds in joy. But remain respectful and mindful of your fellow users. This means that during the game and after no additional posts will be allowed (unless its a link to a specific highlight).
Sunday will more than likely be any interviews that happen.
Please note that any posts that would better fit one of these megathread will be deleted.
As we get closer to men's & women's basketball and major spring sports we will revisit the best way to handle these same threads as they play more games more often.
7. Posts related to selling tickets are not allowed
There are better places to conduct financial transactions involving hundreds or thousands of dollars than this subreddit. These posts will be removed.
For any animal related discussion, please visit /r/duck

That’s it. Enjoy!
We are looking for a spot to post up near campus before walking over. There are 3 of us and my guess is Rennies is tough to find a spot. My son is 17 so the Cooler isn’t an option. Any other recommendations? Go Ducks!
Anyone have any tips of close to the stadium parking? Unusually do the walk but I am bringing a handicapped friend to the game. Thanks 💚💛. Go Ducks!
I can’t make it to the game tomorrow, if anyone wants 2 free tickets with seat backs DM me
Making my first trip to Eugene next year, and I'm wondering what the best time to watch Oregon sports is.
I love Oregon Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Volleyball, and while I can't see them all, what's the best time to see one, two, maybe even three on one trip?
The San Jose tip off is December 21st Oregon vs Stanford Men’s Basketball. Does anyone know what section Oregon fans will be seating in?
We know that the top 3 seeds get to pick where they play the quarterfinal bowl games.
With that in mind, clearly, if Oregon ever finishes #1 it will always pick the Rose Bowl (a very strong assumption here).
What if we didn't finish first?
Let's take this year. Which teams would want the Rose Bowl?
Here are the bowl games:
FIesta (PHX, AZ)
Sugar (New Orleans)
Peach (Atlanta)
Rose (LA).
Are we to assume BIG10 will always want Rose Bowl? Would tOSU rather play closer to home?
Just a debate.
Going even further, I'll be curious to see how teams pick bowl locations based on who they may face in that round. You could potentially have Miami facing Oregon at the Rosebowl in the future, if Miami is a #4 seed. and gets "stuck" with the RB.
Anyway, which powerhouses want the RB, which dont....?
Just received this athletics email from Mullins and I’m curious to hear what others think. Sounds like they are going to have to seek additional revenue from somewhere new at the very least.
Dear Duck Family:
As we reflect on an exciting fall for Oregon Athletics, I want to thank you for your continued loyal support of our athletic programs. Each year, your generosity is pivotal in allowing us to deliver an exceptional student-athlete experience and the competitive excellence we have collectively enjoyed at UO.
As we approach a new year, several of you have shared questions regarding the shifting landscape in college athletics—especially revenue-sharing with student-athletes and name, image and likeness (NIL)—and we want to provide you with background and what the changes mean for Oregon Athletics. A proposed settlement in a collection of antitrust lawsuits commonly referred to as House was preliminarily approved by a federal judge in October, with final approval potentially in the late spring of 2025.
If the settlement is finally approved in its current form, institutions may share revenues with student-athletes for direct payments for NIL, up to an amount estimated to start at more than $20 million annually and increasing each subsequent year. This marks a significant change in college sports, as in the past, student-athletes could only receive aid from athletic scholarships, institutional Alston academic benefit payments and NIL deals from third parties. While institutions will soon be able to provide additional resources to student-athletes, it also represents a significant new unfunded expense. Oregon Athletics will need to make strategic decisions to ensure that we continue providing the resources necessary to compete at the highest levels of college athletics with a significant new expense.
Another significant aspect of the House settlement is that schools will transition from current NCAA rules on scholarship limits to NCAA rules on roster limits. There will be no caps on scholarships but rather roster limits. Each university will be able to determine how many scholarships they provide in each sports program, up to the new roster limit. This change creates flexibility, offers expanded scholarship opportunities for both institutions and student-athletes, and adds a significant cost to Oregon Athletics as it also pays the full cost to UO for its resident and non-resident scholarship recipients. If UO were to provide scholarships to all student-athletes based on the new updated NCAA roster limits, it would nearly double the number of scholarships currently awarded, adding another $14-$15 million to the annual operating budget. That is in addition to the proposed more than $20 million annual revenue share expenditure.
Oregon Athletics is one of fewer than 20 athletic departments nationwide that operates as a self-sustaining unit, receiving no institutional support or student fees. Every dollar generated by Oregon Athletics is reinvested directly into supporting the success of the 20 athletic programs and roughly 500 student-athletes. At the heart of competing at the highest level is providing the maximum possible benefits to our student-athletes, which will soon include direct payments for NIL and additional scholarships. Achieving that will require additional resources. We have always prioritized fiscal responsibility within Oregon Athletics and will continue to do so, and we will continue to let our innovative spirit guide us through these changing times. However, this new model will require that we examine all possible additional revenue streams and cost-containment strategies to sustain and enhance our programs.
With our transition to the Big Ten Conference, we are thrilled about the stability, competitive opportunities, and national exposure we now enjoy as a member of the most outstanding collection of academic and athletic universities in the country. This transition fills us with optimism and we are confident that with your continued support, Oregon Athletics will navigate these new challenges and continue to compete for championships among the nation’s elite. And our mission remains unchanged: to provide a first-class student-athlete experience and to achieve broad-based excellence.
We deeply appreciate your ongoing commitment to Oregon Athletics. Your support for our programs and student-athletes is more important now than ever, and we look forward to continuing this journey together. As more information and ways to help become clear, we will continue to communicate with our supporters.
Go Ducks!
Rob Mullens Director of Athletics
Hi everybody, I will be attending my first ducks game on Saturday vs Maryland.
I wanted to see if anybody wouldn’t mind shooting out a few ideas to do before the game, any traditions to catch, etc. I did hear there would be a BIG10 tailgate which would be new to Autzen this year. I’ve heard of the march to victory and the MO but would like to know what others do in case in catches my eye!
Please leave any ideas or suggestions you guys may have for a first timer! Thanks in advance and as always, GO DUCKS 🦆
it’s been a little quiet recently and with nsd getting closer and closer i’m a little anxious. Anyone dialed in on the forums care to share if anything’s going on?
As part of preparation, Lanning had the team watch the movie Gladiator. The thumbs down signals ‘no mercy, kill them’ that the emperor would give.
That’s why they were all doing it on that last touchdown. This team is savage.
Taking the fam to our first Ducks game, not sure how early to leave to get there with traffic. We'll be staying about 5 miles away (12 minutes away under normal non-gameday conditions), and we'd like to get to our seats about an hour before kickoff. We'll be parking in the ADA area at the stadium due to a foot that's broken in three places. Wtih kickoff at 4pm, any estimates on what time should we leave our AirBnB? Thanks in advance for your help!
We’ve had quite the coaching carousel in the last decade or so starting with Chip, so I have a fair amount of PTSD from that. I feel like Dan is making a name for himself in CFB and turning heads while doing it. Stands to reason some NFL teams will come knocking towards the end of the season. I know he made it very clear that he was committed to Oregon by not even entertaining the Alabama job—and I respect the hell out of him for it—but the NFL feels like different territory. I feel confident he won’t leave Oregon for a different school, but I’m not so certain about him leaving for an NFL head coaching job. What are your thoughts?
I keep waiting for him to bust out "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose." We got the real life version of Eric Taylor on our team.
Took my pups over to Alton Baker early today and thought this was a cool image to share with Duck fans.
I guess people are saying that Lanning did another kind of trick play/situational football thing with a punt during the Michigan game, but I can’t find footage of it. Can someone explain it to me, please?
EDIT: Thank you for the explanations. Lanning feels like the kind of dude who you don’t want to play Monopoly with!
Can't remember to much about Gary Bryant. Anyone remember how much of a game changer he was? Saying he could be returning.
