I lost my wallet at around 9:30pm either as I got in a car near 38th and Brooklyn or when I got out at H Mart on 34th and Belmont. I’m hoping it was found by someone in the store, but I lost it very close to closing My ID is inside but unfortunately it’s an old ID without the correct address on it. Please DM me if you found a wallet and I can confirm my name. There was no money in it, but I did lose my beloved paw patrol live IATSE sticker 🥲
What's going on I-5 North tonight? There's an unexpected closure for Northbound only.
This is a long shot, but did anyone find a green glasses case with a pair of black prescription Ray Bans and a UPS cloth inside? Must have fallen out of my truck today. Thanks
Happy 4/20
I keep getting DMs from people wanting to join but the link has expired, so I'm just posting a new one for anybody interested.
a breakfast restaurant recently opened on a corner near my house that has what's already a fairly chaotic, dangerous four-way stop. every single morning waiting for the bus I see people parking illegally, stopping abruptly trying to get a spot, blocking the bus stop, and abandoning their car half in the traffic lane with the blinkers on just so they can run in and grab a sandwich. whose job is it to make sure the intersection is safe? do I talk to the restaurant manager? the city? or do I just have to accept an even more dangerous intersection?

Okay, /r/Portland, let's see what you've got!
...it might be a disaster. It might help.
calling all seasoned bartenders and service industry of ALL degrees (come one, come all, you overly nerdy, how DARE you garnish that with a twist, WHY would you fry that w/o temp checking first?!, do you even know what plating means??), and on and on.
Looking to start a meet-up once a month, possibly, and go from there.
It seems I'm constantly at an impasse of really wanting the people that want to learn and coming up to know their shit, and current owners/businesses not giving two fucks and just hiring/firing whoever..who don't care, and are just, there.
Looking to help give some real life advice and pointers to:
Post the Covid "Re-Openings", if anyone is interested in attending something along these lines, to teach and mentor a bit, I'm down to coordinate a spot and make it happen.
Please P.M. me if there's any interest, from OG's to newbies.
I've been watching the construction of this new traffic pattern to support a new bike path for a few months now and was hoping it would finally come to some sort of logical fruition. They just pulled the road closed signs today and I've already seen three cars turn into the dedicated bike lane three times in the last 15 minutes. This is going to continue to be a disaster and I honestly don't know what the city was thinking lmao
What are we doing tomorrow is their plans???
A week ago I grumpily posted a photo about how the banana had been tagged. It garnered a bit of attention and discussion of graffiti in town. I feel a tad bad because I don't want to ever contribute to the "dunk on Portland" trend, since the wonders of living here so vastly outweigh our problems. Mea culpa!
I'm super happy to report that the tagging was immediately removed and you couldn't tell it was ever there.
Happy beautiful Friday beautiful Portlanders!!
