I've used the Doceri application to wirelessly write on my windows computer directly from my iPad for the last 8 years or so. It's been great for me since I can write over anything displayed on screen using my iPad and apple pencil. Unfortunately, my school is getting new computers (with Windows 11) and we were told that Doceri will no longer be available to us.

Does anyone know any programs similar to Doceri that I could use for this purpose? The caveat is that it has to work with an iPad since the district decided it would somehow be wise that we all have iPads with windows computers. Doceri was perfect for this, but I'm sure there has to be alternatives to this, right?

It looks ok, but definitely not as powerful as other systems. What do you like/not like about it? How much does it cost your school per student?

There are a few third party services that provide man-in-the-middle LTI/nonLTI interoperability, but they are pricy and introduce security concerns.

There are a bunch of libraries and local service shims so your tool that has a proprietary API can talk to any LTI service provider (e.g. Canvas, Schoology, etc).

The reverse, not so much. I can't find a single library / app / container / service that I can run locally that will let my tool which already speaks LTI (or OneRoster, etc) connect to even one non-LTI provider with a proprietary API (e.g. Google Classroom), let alone more than one.

Is there some keyword I'm missing from my searches, or does this thing really not exist?

I am moving onto my final interview for a customer support role and I wanted to see if anyone had any tips for the interview if they had done it before. Or if anyone just had any tips for a customer service role interview where you had to roleplay as the customer support itself. I wondered if AI could be used as a tool for curriculum advisors in higher education settings. With help from ChatGPT I coded a Python program that interfaces with GPT-4 and allows an advisor to ask questions like "How is this student doing in terms of graduation requirements?". The advisor loads the student transcript and the course catalog, and everything is sent to GPT-4 which performs analysis and returns an overview and identifies gaps. I have been teaching students and faculty how to use technology in the classroom for years, and I would like to take my graduate degrees and move into a consulting role in education.

Hi all, we are looking to invest in some updated coding and robotics hardware for our elementary school. We currently have some Beebots and some Sphero Indi cars. I'd like to offer a wider range of options for multiple grade levels. Can anyone make some good recommendations for products that will have a good lifespan?

I am a professor (in America), and sometimes I like to show my class videos. I usually purchase, rent, or subscribe to a streaming service to get a video, and then screen record it.

In the past I've had minor issues, but found a method that worked. No problems since.

Recently I tried to screen record a video, and almost nothing works. I begin to play the video, and then I click record. All I get is a black, blank screen with audio. After multiple attempts I jumped online (see links below) to try suggestions like OBS, Screenify, etc.

Amazon, Google, Netflix, etc. are making it impossible to screen record videos. While piracy is a concern, these companies are completely ignoring there is an exception to showing copyrighted content for educational purposes.
